My dedicated 5.56 can is my YHM turbo k. It is 4.8in long and weighs 11.5 oz with the kurz kit and i love it, bought it for $ 375 a few years back. If I didn't have that, I would definitely get the polonium.K. Good video enjoy your can😊

As far as tuning, I recently got a Bootleg adjustable BCG and it works great. I got it to tame my LWRC being a little over-gassed unsuppressed but the last two suppressed settings will come in handy when I do get a can.
I’d give it a shot at its price but I have some high end cans that I doubt it can out perform (CGS Sci-six, WB 718, Helios DT, etc). I definitely like the way it looks and from what I can tell how it sounds great too.
I have both the lithium and the polonium K in jail and I look forward to trying them out soon. I was amazed by how light the lithium was and I am going to run the rearden atlas on both. The titanium for the lithium and standard for the polonium.
solid review, I have heard quite a few good things about the ocl Polonium.. then i was reading the K is just better on less gas. Gonna pick one up soon
I prefer the Griffin plan A. It's super low profile and it's only 2 ounces. Plus they have tons of muzzle devices to choose from. I like running there bayonet micro brake. It actually sleeves the barrel and gives you a .61" shorter overall length. So your 11.5 would handle like a 10.9.
this my second vid of yours in past couple days think you found your type of vids i guess stick with the cans but can imagine how expensive it is lol@@RockyMountainGunClub
Looking at getting this can or a surefire RC2 556. Budget isnt an issue but this is tempting with it being lighter, shorter and cheaper....Also not to far off on pew science ratings
Watch the fort Knox podcast video on the polonium vs RC2 it'd kind of interesting. Initially they preferred the RC2 until they shot it out of an enclosed cab.
I have a hard time grouping any K can amongst the "best" 5.56 dedicated suppressor unless all we're talking about is K cans. They're just too small for any kind of beneficial returns. Is it better than no can? Sure, but that's even arguable.
Yeah I dont think it's as quiet as the "best" 5.56 cans but it's definitely as quiet as alot of full size 5.56 cans. And when you factor in the price and size I think it's one of the best 556 options
@@coach- It's a K can though.... I currently own 7 suppressors, 2 being k's, one of which is 5.56 dedicated. Don't get me wrong, K's on the end of a rifle are FAR better than no suppressor but you'd be amazed by what just an extra pair of baffles+ can do when it comes to supersonic cartridges. Now, if there was a category of best K cans then I would be all for it but the benefits gained from a larger platform greatly outweigh the little bit of length and weight saved vs a K. I'd personally love to see some companies work on integrated "k" size suppressors for both 5.56 & 308.
Great production quality, answered every question I’ve had! You have the rearden atlas mount though correct? I have dead air keymo flash hiders on all my rifles from my first can, sandman s, and wanna make a move on a dedicated 556 can. Why did you chose the atlas over the keymo?
I have a 7.5 Diamond Back pistol with the folding stock adapter to fit in my backpack. My wife is a Nurse Practitioner, so I'm pretty sure the money isn't an issue.
The OC Polonium or K will be my next can. I have the DA Sierra 5 and it sounds amazing. Very high back pressure also. I consider it a K can so I’m leaning towards the full size P. I have the OC OCM5 and it’s by far the most amazing can I’ve ever used. OC makes amazing products. Are you saying the K has less back pressure than the full size?
Apparently it does have less back pressure. I shot the full size on my friend's 11.5 and it felt better than my 11.5 with the polo k but I think his gun is gassed alot better than mine
Good to know. I made several adjustments to my 11.5” AR to mitigate the Sierra 5 back pressure. The gun / can are now perfect. And even with all the changes, it still cycles unsuppressed Which is great!! I guess now it’s a question of sound and weight to help decide. Not sure which AR it will be for yet. My Sierra 5 rotates between an 11.5” and a 14.5”. Perhaps picking a rifle 1st will help the process. The Sierra 5 back pressure is not noticeable on the 14.5”.
Might try a Superlative Arms Adjustable gas block with its bleed off settings should help reduce the back pressure coming back down the barrel unlike normal adjustable gas blocks that just restrict the gas.
I'd love to try an adjustable gas block. I've always been wary of them but I'm thinking I'll take the plunge. I've got one in my honey badger but that's it
If your barrel is like a Faxon or Noveske or others with massive gas port hole the superlative block in the vent mode still has way too much gas in the system with a standard baffle can. I won't buy another one I'm not impressed with mine.
@RockyMountainGunClub 10.5 12.5 and 16in. 10.5 has a cherry bomb 12.5 has a rearden 16 has a liberty precision. TurboK has a Q plan B PoloK has a Rearden plan B Used them with 55gr M193. Polo had more first round flash follow up shots the flash was identical
Interesting. That wasn't my experience at all but it was on a 10.3 but it was damn loud. My polonium k is noticeably quieter on the 11.5. Also the pewscience data shows the polonium k being quieter than the full size turbo so you'd expect the turbo k to be even worse.

That opening shot was beautiful dude.
Wonder how the new B&T Rotex 556k will compare to this. It’s supposed to be lighter but also more expensive.
I thought that was only compatible with surefire’s stuff?
@@cornfedchris1 I think they sell hub-compatible versions. I was planning on using a Rearden Atlas mount with one.

Yep! Their minimum barrel length is 7.5
What’s a K can?
Short. "kurz" is german for short and it just became kind of standard nomenclature in the gun world
K=Short

Yes!
The AB A-10 556 can is pretty legit
What Rearden mount and muzzle devices are you using?
Reardon atlas. And I have a few single port brakes and a few flash hiders.

Thank you! Mostly due to weight and all my other silencers used the Q/rearden muzzle devices and mounts
I thought it was only rated down to a 10.3" barrel?
7.5, but if you're shooting a 7.5 inch barrel you probably can't afford a silencer lol
I have a 7.5 Diamond Back pistol with the folding stock adapter to fit in my backpack. My wife is a Nurse Practitioner, so I'm pretty sure the money isn't an issue.
I'm just messing around lol but yeah 7.5 is what they list on their site but honestly I bet that's a little conservative
I would have thought that a nurse practitioner dealt with enough in the hospital, to then having to deal with a guy who owns/shoots a 7.5” AR😂.
Just bought one, waiting my 1 week right now 😭

@rockymountaingunclub this may be a stupid question but you said you can run a 6mm round. Does that include the 6.5 Creedmor?
No. 6mm is the bore so anything above 6 is too big.

the 30SDK is the best 556 suppressor
😬
How are the rearden brakes to shoot without the can?
Loud flashy and concussive but does great at recoil mitigation
@@RockyMountainGunClub thank you 🙏
Got to run one of these yesterday. I noticed no difference between it and my turbo k
What Barrel length? On a 16" I'd bet there's not a super big difference but on an SBR I think that's when you'd notice a much bigger difference

Stop calling it a silencer…
That's what it is
Silencer and suppressor are both correct. Maxim (the original inventor) called them silencers.
