@GRajMahalCafe after NSA Jason Asnes was in a short-lived outfit called Sugartime with ex-Swans guitarist Norm Westberg and Live Skull drummer Rich Hutchins, he also did some session work for Swans in the late 80s.
They opened for many including BHS and Sonic Youth but were outdone by none. Ethel and Kevin later formed TIMCO in San Francisco( I believe) but I can't seem to find anything since or on any of the others...original Steve or Jason. If any NSA member is back in Austin, stop by the cafe...opens in October...91 Red River
One of my favorite songs from a truly under appreciated band. Mind furnace is a gem, I’m happy I live in a time where I can find them at all
Used to have this album, and liked this song ....so long ago !
Amazing song!
Reality Bath is an amazing LP. Mind Furnace is ALMOST as good. Really great to see this clip, I had no idea what they looked like 'til now (thanks).
Mind furnace blew me away
I love the sentiment in this song. A critical view of American suburbia that doesn't have on bit of nostalgia. Great stuff.
Saw them play on top of the Republic Bank parking garage in downtown Austin one winter night. They rocked.
They played Chico, CA in early 1989. Great show.
