My mamaw used to sing me this song. She raised me, stuck around when it wasn't her responsibility. I couldn't remember all the word's I was so little. Now she's gone but I can still hear her singing that song. Love you Mamaw.
This is the song my mother used to sing me to sleep with every night. Now that I'm older I realize it's such a sad song really. She loves her baby girl so much that she stays in a loveless marriage. The things you do for your babies. But I always loved this song and my mother singing to me.
Since she has written this I wonder if she did with Betty Sue in mind. Thank you for uploading from the album. I have been having a hard time finding it and really wanted to hear the songs I have not yet heard.
One of my mama's favorite Loretta Lynn songs... mine too. I miss them both so much.
Loretta, you can surely break my heart. Always the Queen!
Loretta is the queen of soul. Uhhhh!!!!! What a voice. What a steel guitar. What a piana.
@Mookie Spindlehurst thank you. I was obviously baked when I posted that.
I had this record when I was little I’d play it over and over and sing it.
This is my Moms fave song. She says it makes her think of me. My mom is 83 and 1yr ago i had this tattooed on my forearm in her handwriting.

This song sounds like it was just thrown togather in a hurry. But as always Loretta pulls it off to make it sound good
