    Love everything Christopher Penczak has written. He appeals to the skeptic in me. On the subject of smudging, I agree at that time it was a common term for smoke cleansing, and I don't recall anything cultural appropriation like in his description of the practice. I have nearly everything he's written and most of the books he put out through llewellyn publishing had meditation cd in the back. They're really good accompaniments for the subjects of each book if, like me, you have a way to play them lol. Not sure if they are available for streaming in the newer printings. There are a few, very few, things he has put out that I don't really resonate with, but he is definitely an author and teacher whose work will carry on long after his time on earth.

    I love Christopher's books. The Inner Temple of Witchcraft was the first one I read, and it's amazing 💚

    It's a great book. While I think it's wild that you have to put a disclaimer on this book, I do understand. It seems like the people who'd have a "meltdown" lol as you described are quite young in years, have limited life experience outside of social media, or they don't read an extensive amount of books or across generations unless for school or something. Context matters, folks who don't get that miss out on gems of wisdom from great books, so that makes me sad. Anyway glad it's you explaining it to them because I wouldn't have the patience for all of that, lol. Thanks for the great video.

    The Table on Contents and Index prove to be of extensive research that lend itself to a body of abundant knowledge within this book. The Authorship is stellar devoid of trendy headline speak. Blissful Abundance and Harmony ✨JulMar

    As always, I love your reviews. And I appreciate that you cover books that may lead to a conversation. When we pull together to talk about things/practices/terminology, etc. that have changed for good reasons, that may make us uncomfortable- it teaches us something about ourselves and hopefully pulls us closer to each other! What I really love, is that you assume we are adults and can handle sometime hard things. Love you.

    I just got this book in the post today from Ebay. So disappointed that the CD is missing with my copy 😢 Anyone that has the CD, is it worthwhile me trying to seek out a copy with it? Or is it just the author reading out parts of his book?

    What is the matter with the term "smudging"? Pls can so fill me in? Thanks 🤗

    • @stillarobyn
      @stillarobyn 3 роки тому +4

      Smudging was used broadly to describe any form of smoke cleansing, but the term smudging specifically refers to a closed Native American practice.

      Thank you! In german there is no difference in that term as far as i know.
      So is it inappropiat to Use it or is it still kinda "okay"?

    • @stillarobyn
      @stillarobyn 3 роки тому +3

      @@katecroy because the term is in reference to a closed practice, it's generally asked that you use cleansing/smoke cleansing instead.

      Thank you for that answer. I am still a beginner, so all that stuff is soooo "much" to learn that i don't know. As for english is Not my first language, there are many terms i kinda know the meanings of, but no special differences

      @@katecroy It's hard even for native speakers sometimes! I'm sure you're doing great, much better than my own handle on any other language. Keep it up!

    Sorry, but I gotta unsub because of the ridiculousness of your smudging dissertation.
