Which part of the body controls the launch angle? Another way to phrase the question? What prevent popping the ball up or hitting a fly ball when you tilt your body at launch?
Well, first off, launch angle is a byproduct of connection we don’t control launch angle other then to say we commit to getting on plane early, then we can establish what type of launch angle the ball is going to have at connection based on where the ball enters the hitting zone to said connection . Based on where the ball enters the hitting zone and based on getting to the contact points is where the launch angle is created . When you’re talking about tilt, we are talking about the snap of the barrel to connection. Again launch angle is a byproduct of connection and where the ball enters the hitting zone. Keep in mind every ball hit has a launch angle.
It’s called a Power Swing Stix. I developed that training bat for Trevor based on his swing metrics right now we’re looking at a new bat manufacturer to develop new ones. We didn’t market it to the masses but now after seeing the results it’s given to several athletes we want to bring it main stream. I’ll let you know when it becomes available for sale.
These videos are great, but the most important thing is that 99% of the coaches/ parents out there don’t understand, or know how to “unlearn” all the nasty swing habits your player currently possesses and then completely change it from the foundation up and implement all the mechanics this teacher is teaching. You must be able to do all that, plus, be able to identify whats going wrong / right when all the moving parts are firing together at the same time too. If that isn’t enough, you must identify, correct, and implement the proper changes each time as well over the course of 5,000 + swings, or better. If you do not know how to do that properly, this video is in vain. Baseball dads, please don’t ruin your relationship with your player, or son trying to fight through all this either. Hire someone.
I agree with most of what you said. But I also believe there’s a way to teach people that are not professional trainers, how to teach their sons, daughters and teams how to train correctly or at least give them base knowledge and foundations on how to train correctly. A while back, I launched a coaching certification which was a level one certification that helped working dads and moms little league dads and moms who don’t know how to train correctly the foundations in the tools to do this and we are going to launch a new course hopefully in the fall of 23. They there is definitely a need for good coaching at an early age and will continue to work hard to do that. Thanks for your feedback.
Great question. He was a part of the Joey Gallo deal. The Yankees made a mistake in my opinion to get rid of him. Especially with a short porch in right field. Time will only tell if it was a good trade or not. We’ll see what he does in Texas.

If you could model a young baseball players swing after any current or former major leaguer, who would it be?
There’s several players that you canmodel your swing after, but I like personally Mookie Betts or Manny Ramirez.
