It must be good, look he enjoyed it….he even gave it a thumbs up!! 😂😂😂
I love that you go straight to the recipe & don’t go on & on like some tend to do, perfect!
Thank you! I agree those videos can get dull quickly
I love that too not a bunch of yakking but did I see him poor orange juice in it ? ?
What did you watch, he spent more time moaning, groaning and nodding than actually cooking, and then rushed through the important part! I came for the recipe, but that bad acting now makes me question his cookery skills.
There is nothing more delicious on this earth than chimichuri on a steak.
Amen
Lordy lord I found my tribe!!!
Let’s bee bee keuw brothas!
Bro just got a follow for being concise 🔥
Oliv oil is a common mistake, they use sunflower oil in South America, and it's better. Bitterness of oliv oil, garlic and pepper is too much, that's probably why you had to put that much vinegar to balance it.
Also red wine vinegar is the authentic version but apple vinegar is fine too.
In Brazil they also add a spoon of sugar, great version !
Depends where you are. Argentina uses olive oil, due to their heavy Italian influence in Buenos Aires
What about avocado oil, that's what we have at home
@@RegesterForDinneryeah I prefer de olive oil. Also prefer the red wine vinegar and dice onions. People said it doesn’t have onions, I be like I don’t care 🤷♂️ that’s how I like it 🤣
You’re absolutely right. Olive oil has its purpose but not in a classic chimichurri. Not hating on how others choose to make it but argentinians don’t go out of their way to add olive oil to it. Argentinians give you the side-eye if you add evo. Stick to something neutral.
Good quality olive oil is not bitter, it's only the store bought one because they pick the olives too early. And olive oil is more healthy than sunflower oil because it contain a lot of antioxidants.
Sunflower oil instead of olive oil. Keeping in the fridge in a jar to mature is the Argentinian way. Also triple that amount of red pepper flakes.
sunflower oil is unhealthy🌻
nah i fw olive oil
Olive oil/ avocado oil/ coconut oil > any other oil
Looks packed full of flavor! Thanks for sharing RFD!
You’re welcome!
Jesus saves bro. he has all the righteous heavenly ingredients 🙏✝️❤️
@@RegesterForDinner
This is definitely a brighter and more vinegar-forward recipe. I made it and, while tasty, the dominant flavor was vinegar. Next time I’ll add half and see how it is before adding the rest.
Absolutely. That’s the beauty of cooking! Everything is to your personal preference. Thanks for watching
Same I should have read your comment before making it lol it is good though
Yes I agree two vinegary for me as well
Same happened with me! The vinegar taste and smell was too strong.
Whatever recipe you use it's important to remember that you need to let it rest for at least 8 or 12 hours. Freshly made it taste very different.
That is very true
Just did this. For a new york strip. It was the bomb
I tried this. Delicious. Gets significantly better after like 3 days. Gotta let it rest.
Thank you! People just don’t know
Steak sauce has never been my thing. I'll definitely be trying your recipe on my next Tomahawk.😋
Let me know how it turns out
Nothing is better than A1
Blehhhhh!! Worked in food processing 7 years. Stopped eating for 7 yrs. Saw with ma own peepers how it’s made.
If you add fresh oregano it tastes even better. But great video!
I’ll give that a try next time! Thank you for watching
Mexican or Italian oregano?
With fresh oregano does it have to be steeped?
@@rebekkaamanda3805 I would think you don't have to, since its not dried out.
Going to try this.
It’s delicious! You won’t be disappointed
I love cilantro I want to make this
You should! It’s incredible
...but it's parsley n not cilantro. I love cilantro too😋
Nice....so delicious...❤❤
Thank you!
@@RegesterForDinner you're welcome
Super good, but I'll still use A1 lol when I need it lol
Pffft… foolish americans and their questionable paste in a dark bottle all purpose “sauce”
Ají crushed instead of chill peppers is the original recipe.
Nice❤
I was going to comment on how you should never stab your knife like that into a cutting board but I see you already know that now since you snapped the tip off of it. well done.
Don’t do the Nick digiovanni knife drop
Red wine vinegar instead of apple
Less garlic and add shallots
Thank you for your time
To each their own my friend
Can't wait to add this to my steak sandwich 🤤
Tried it. If I wanted to drink olive oil I will use it again.
Or you could just drink olive oil from the bottle. That works too
@@RegesterForDinner😂😂

sauce is good af with steak.
You savage
lol. Used to dig it. Til I worked in food processing for 7 yrs. Saw with my own peepers way it’s made. Made my guts rethink life.
(Stink #ss fermented raisin paste from China anyone??)
my mother always makes this with cilantro
Yes, I’ve heard cilantro is a great alternative too
Do u add the water?
I don’t think so, I added the warm water to mine and it tasted way different, I think the water was for the oregano only “seep the oregano in warm water”
Nick called, he wants his intro back.
I called him back but he didn’t answer
@RegesterForDinner hi there I feel silly asking but with this sauce can you use fresh chillies instead of crushed red pepper?
Absolutely. If you want a little more heat you sure can!
How long will it stay good for in the fridge?
Well over 1 month because the vinegar helps preserve it
Do we include the stems when chopping the parsley? or take them out?
You certainly use the stems. I personally didn’t but it’s completely up to you. Thanks for watching
@@RegesterForDinner thanks for confirming. My pleasure
Can we put regular white vinegar?
Yes you can.
I guess you are a for real chef because those knife skills would have had my finger in the bowl with the other ingredients
Haha not a chef just someone who likes to cook… a lot
😂😂😂😂
Just got back from the store. Here goes nothing . Tried it in aruba at moomba beach . Im hooked
You won’t be disappointed!
@@RegesterForDinner Wife and kids still prefer a1.... they have bad taste lol. It was amazing
@@mainethings haha to each their own I guess
Do you use fresh or dried oregano?
I use dried
I kinda like A1 though. Why not both
Steak sauce will ruin a good steak, this will enhance the flavor. Delish
Not too good. I’ll stick w/ mushroom sauce or onions if I put anything at all. Sauces are for people who can’t prepare steak correctly
That's way too much vinegar. 3 parts oil to vinegar.
Everyone has their own version. You should give mine a try first before saying it has too much vinegar. I promise you it's not too much.
@RegesterForDinner did try it. That's why I came back to comment.
It's good, just too much acid.
@@joekunedo to each their own I guess. Thank you for watching!
I agree. I put less vinegar the second time. 😋
I wished I had read the comment comments before I made it. Yep, too much vinegar.
What if I only have white wine vinegar?
Flavor will be slightly off but you can still use it
*Pepper corn sauce enters the chat: Did you forget about me?
Great sauce too!
Could you substitute lime juice for vinegar?
You could, it will definitely affect the flavor but if you don’t mind a citrus component to your chimichurri I don’t see why it would be bad! Great thinking!
I am a Chef by trade and I just assumed the vinegar was to add acidity to the sauce so I thought Lime or Lemon juice might be a good substitute, but i’ll definitely be making some it looks delicious.
One cup of apple cider vinegar, thats bonkers
It works trust me
Why steep the oregano?
It makes it more fragrant
How many day that chumichuri sauce shieflife
A couple months
I made this and it was disgusting. Way too much red wine vinegar and oregano was over powering. I’ll be trying a different recipe
Try apple cider vinegar
I don’t use red wine vinegar.
Don't forget to just put it in the most random container.
Noted
He means a glass jar. And pop it in the fridge to ferment (aka let the ingredients flirt, the argento way che, entendés?)
Can you swap the ACV? For lemon ? Is the apple cider vinegar the” authentic “ way to do it. I loathe acv
I’m not sure if ACV is really the authentic acid to use but I’m my opinion it tastes the best. But yes, you could use lemon juice or even red wine vinegar.
@@RegesterForDinner red wine vinegar ! Great suggestion. Thank you!
@@trevor_corey8037 my pleasure! And thank you for watching

only things that touch my steak are S&P oil, Houses of Parliment on occasion if wanting fermenty tang, need to grab the stuff for Chimichurri
It goes great on fish, chicken, pork. Really any meats
Use some cutlery for crying out loud
No thank you. I prefer to eat like a barbarian
Hahaha!!!
Canada = cutlery
States = silverware
Looks like a dressing, I thought was like salsa lol. Anyways I can’t eat it because the acidic of vinegar hurts my mouth.
A1 is better
You’re a monster
SMH… Bunch of questionable ingredients in a dark bottle. Foolish Americans
(I worked in food processing ,so I know)
How long will it last in the fridge?
For up to 2 months
The vinegar is strong with this one
May the force be with you
Chimi or horseradish. Never a1
Agreed
Stop ruining knives and cutting boards
Don’t tell me what to do mom
A1 steak sauce is terrible, if you use that you most likely know nothing about good steaks
Agreed
I’m with ya snook!
Did the recipe and thought it was just okay noting to major about it to be honest.
Give it a day for the flavors to develop. Then let me know what you think.
I let it sit and I just wasn’t a fan of it. I’m probably just used to restaurant chimichurri.
Chimichiri taste better on chicken and rice
Can barely hear video at max
Thank you for the feedback. I will work on my audio volume!
Chimichurri has no oregano.
Revolting! Worst chimichurri ever! Better off just pouring a bottle of vinegar on your steak, you’ll get the same result without all the steps.
lol thanks for watching
No lemon? 😮
No the acidity from the vinegar does the trick
@@RegesterForDinner looks Delicious 😋
That’s a lot of liquid. Are we making a salad dressing?
It’s meant to be runny
Dominican
How does a1 ruin a steak ? a1 taste good to me
It’s all a matter of personal preference
i veered away from the recipe on accident but it still turned out good
i couldn’t get my parsley fine enough so i put all of my dry ingredients in my blender and used the grate setting, but it only grated the bottom no matter how much i shook it, so i said fk it and added everything in the blender and hoped it would mix. it did, but it liquified it and i was horrified since i had been up for hours prepping dinner 😭 so i strained it and saved the herbs thank god. after i just added the oil (someone in the comments said use sunflower oil instead so i found an olive/sunflower oil), acv, pink salt, pepper, and crushed red pepper. my family loved it 🙌🏾
it’s not authentic but it worked for us. hopefully next time i won’t mess it up 😭😭
That's waaaay to much vinegar! I had to do it again with less than half of the vinegar
It’s a personal preference. I like the acidity
He forgot to add some water to the sauce 🤔
No I didn’t. It was mixed in with the oregano.
He steeped the oregano in it.
STOP THROWING KNIVES INTO THE BOARD!!
It’s an addiction
@@RegesterForDinner respect the timber, muchacho!

I love chimichurri but it is not the best sauce for steak. Taste Cambodian steak sauce and give me some news.
Why steep the oregano in hot water?
It intensifies the oreganos flavor and makes it more aromatic.
Shut your mouth! I love A1! Nothing wrong with it.
