These small plants can measure around 5 to 15 cm in height, they catch their prey with their tentacles, also known as "sun dew"; so called because these hairs or tentacles found on their glandular leaves glow like morning sun dew.
The glands present in the sundew leaves produce mucilage, which is a thick and sticky substance composed of microorganisms that covers the surface of its leaves, which it uses to attract, capture and digest insects such as ants, mosquitoes and flies.
