But the kinds of businesses in the den don't have that kind of proven growth, and if they did, they wouldn't be in the den

I don't see why they continue to have a problem with this scenario. Granted, the guy didn't have a track record on leasing or selling these sheds, which was the biggest problem.... but why do they always have a problem with entrepreneurs starting a new business that plays off their old one? Like you would have to have them manufactured somewhere, and because he's got a business that already deals with this scrap wood, he can get the stuff cheap because of that. What's the difference between dealing with another manufacturer for your product and dealing with him?

She doesn't have kids maybe this was a choice or maybe it wasn't, perhaps if it wasn't that would explain. And some people just don't connect with kids 🤷♂️
