John Deere USA Setting the tappet in six-cylinder the firing order is 1-5-3-6-2-4 .

IN 360 degree method you can adjust the tappets very easily in two rounds. First, bring the number six cylinder at valve overlap condition this can be done while inspecting the valves of the number six cylinder. when your exhaust valve is closing and not fully closed your intake valve starts opening this condition is the valve overlap condition for the number 6 cylinder at this stage number one cylinder will be at TDC of the compression stroke. Numbers 1 and 6 are paired together these pistons travel together similarly 2 and 5 are paired 3 and 4 cylinders are paired and travel together.
