I had to jump on here to tell you I've collected my first eggs... 12 in total so far. I have them in my white yogurt container floating in my indoor pond! Your videos are so helpful and I'm following them as closely as I can. Wish me luck!

I just set up a new temporary indoor tub and I used your strategy to separate the red and white from my solid white and orange medaka. I also created mops with the same materials you used. My fish aren't producing eggs yet because it is still too cold here in Canada, but I'm getting ready and excited for when I can move them outside!

Keep up the content I just took my medaka tubs out from covered areas now that temps are up! Looking forward to a new season!

Love it as always! For your pots- are they glazed on the outside and inside? Mine was glazed on the outside only, so I sealed it with liquid rubber (fish safe). I'm paranoid about it leaking.

My pots are glazed inside and out but all have fine cracks and chips which will allow water to be absorbed by the basic material of the pot. Some pots are earthenware which absorbs more water than others which are stoneware. For me that's OK because winter temperatures at my location don't go below freezing. I think that earthenware pots are at risk of cracking when the absorbed water turns to ice when it freezes and expands.
