Welcome to Glasgow, Scotland. Often considered as up there with the best, loudest and most passionate fans anywhere in the world! The reason gerry gets such a warm reception from them all is cuz hes a working class guy from Glasgow who writes and sings songs about real life things that strike a chord with every day people. Hes like the Scottish equivalent of Noel Gallagher and hes actually supported Liam on tours before too.
On the topic of Liam, he did a great set in 2018 when he headlined this festival in Glasgow as well!
I concur but also bias. When I'm with people outside UK they usually think I'm most party/wild on a night out.... I'm like shiiiit I'm so tame in Glasgow 😅

I'm not sure Gerry Cinnamon would tour America, especially as he doesn't get too much involved in the music industry. He doesn't do interviews either. It's all about him, his music and his fans. He doesn't need anybody else. By the way, he's Scottish and Ed Sheeran is English. Also, TRNSMT is just Transmit without the vowels. Æ 🙏

'Head in the Clouds' by Gerry got me through the first year of lockdown. It is on his album which he released last year and put on youtube for all to download free (the songs off the album are on his youtube channel and he released them all individually). The image for the video is a black and white of a young woman holding a wee toddler in her arms whilst standing on a high rise balcony on a rough arsed houseing estate (project) in the 70's or 80's..amazeing image for an outstanding song.
I promise you the song won't let you down.
The weird thing is, he has only got 108k subs and has been singing to large crowds for a couple of years. Before that he was singing in pubs and selling drugs (Hash). He might sell out his venues in a couple hours now but the vast majority of the public don't know who he is. He's a very well kept secret mainly up here in the north of the UK
I can't wait to go him live and sing along with him when this is all over.
Canter from this same festival by Gerry is absolutely nuts and a must watch. Please get a few more of these in. Love the Gerry reactions!!!!

TRNSMT is Scotland's largest Music Festival held in Glasgow each year (pre covid) normally holds around 50,000 . Fingers crossed it will be back in 2022 . It used to be much larger it used to be called " T in the Park " with 70,000 & used 3 venues in it's 22 year history at Strathclyde Park , Balado & Perth from 1994 to 2016 . The Festival was renamed TRNSMT in 2017 . In 2019 Lewis Capaldi came on stage as Chewbacca from Start Wars lol . Lewis is a local lad who rose to fame with his music and plays all over the world , he is also the nephew of Actor Peter Calpaldi the 12th Dr Who .
The Capaldi's are distant cousins .

Gerry truly is one of the best. Fearsly independent. Can’t stand the music industry and how it’s run. He was told by record labels they couldn’t sell his music because of his Glasgow accent so he went and done it all by himself. Incredible song writer. You need to check out how Gerry opens his shows. ah i remember this, i work as security and TRNSMT (pronounced as transmit) was the first festival i had ever worked at, 12 hours shift but 14 to 15 hours of standing non stop in the blazing sun for 3 days.
