Honestly it's a good thing we lost, as this will serve as an eye opener, there's alot of things we need to improve on or else we are f**ked up this season. The earlier we work on our weakness the better. Kudos to Arsenal, they really played as a team 🙏

I'm worried that Mendy made a lot of saves and Arsenal still got 4 pass the post. Kudos to Arsenal. Mendy really stopped Arsenal from scoring 7 or 8. Our back line but Mendy were so confused.
He also made one error leading to goal mate.

Fans who love the game can appreciate other teams without being bitter and negative. Rivalry is a bit of fun but it should stop at friendly banter between fans. Violence and abuse should have no place in the sport.

It's actually very concerning given how last season ended and how the transfer window is going. There are only 11 days left until the season begins and Tuchel has only signed 2 players who are 30ish. And he no longer has the ominous aura of Abramovich's strict and high expectations to spur him on. If I was a Chelsea fan, I would be very worried.

It’s pre-season and I understand that we aren’t match fit but this match showed that not only are the boys not fit but we also lack the mentality. The amount of 50/50s we lost and how many times we gave the ball away is testament to how much work we still have to do to compete for top 4 this season. All things considered Arsenal played very well and we have a whole season to make up form and Koulibaly is a beautiful man at the back so I still see tons of positives even from a 4-0 loss

Hey I know it's just pre season but this is still shocking. I hope Chelsea can turn things quickly before the season starts.
i felt like this a week ago as a liverpool supporter getting hung out by united for 4 nil but no one to blame in both games but the teams who lost, just sloppy pre season play. hopefully chelsea just had a bad game as i like them playing well to keep the title race interesting and they usually do bits in actual competitions.

Whereas chelsea actually have ongoing issue in attack and now defence, these are issues we saw even in the last half of the season and we havent really resolved them.

It seems crazy that arsenal got 4 goals past us and people in the comments somehow demands Tuchel to get more attackers. Low intensity and small defensive mistakes cost us a lot here. We can't attack if we can't even get the ball. We still need a solid defence and hardworking players, that's our priority
Honestly the whole team needs weeds like Sarr, Barkley, Batshuayi, etc to be removed and replaced with talent that can work for the manager. These people are treating it like a job they can do the bare minimum to do.

this is the same formation we use against Brentford last season and we lost 4-1 and now 4-0.
This is on the team. They are taking pre-season like it’s a second holiday. It’s not a holiday it’s warming up for the season and being on form. We are doing exactly the opposite. Raheem,Kalidou and mount are performing well but the rest aren’t. It is also Tuchels fault for not closing deals sooner. We better get more signings through the door and get back on form or we won’t finish in top 4.
Why is it Tuchel's fault in terms of deals? He isn't leading on negotiations. Similarly, it isn't his fault that the club was getting a takeover deal finalised while other clubs started laying down the foundations for their summer transfer business (we weren't allowed to contact clubs while say Edu was already chatting with Gabriel Jesus' representative), nor is it his fault that the new owners wanted to deal with various internal things before addressing incoming signings. Maybe naive on their part, but not TT's fault in the slightest

We started incredibly strong last season and ended up declining once the new year arrived until the end of the season. Our strong start meant that the decline stopped at third by the end of the season. This time round, if we play like this from the start, we’ll be looking at mid-table come May. And this time, with this squad, a new owner and no sanctions, we really have no excuse to not be challenging for the top three again…

Of course, we miss Rudiger but he's not irreplaceable. Koulibaly is a quality replacement and it will be unfair to judge his contribution to the team after his cameo in a preseason game. While the overall performance was awful and the team has to improve, we need to understand that Koulibaly and Silva didn't start this game together in defense. In the coming weeks, the usual below-average players will be sent on loan and we'll begin to see stronger line-ups and hopefully more consistency in team selection from Tuchel. My primary area of concern is our lack of cohesion in attack. Timo needs to be Dropped going into the season. We need more intelligent players upfront.

@@tekk9007 the drop off between Koulibaly, Silva and the rest of the centerbacks like Chalobah, Sarr is still quite alarming. One injury to either of those two would spell disaster; not to mention, Silva at 38 might not be able to play every game this season.

Biggest concern for me right now is that we only have one more game between now and Everton. Is that going to be enough to address the clear issues we have? Hard to see it to be honest but know this. It isn't unheard of for teams to sometimes lose all their preseason games then still smash it when it counts. I hope we'll be ok.

Some great respectful comments from many Chelsea, for the first time in many years I will confident of competing against you instead of a predictable loss. I still think we a lacking in depth especially if we get injuries to our main players during the campaign.

Since Alonso started playing in chilwell's position,we have been conceding lots of goals, Chalobah too has been having some blunders not to forget malang sarr,,,, imagine that back line with an additional forward of Timo Werner, pulisic and odoi,,,, we are so done

Tuchel-ball needs adjustment. Currently, every game is just a blanket of Chelsea players vs a low block, with passes wide and hopeful long balls. We can blame the players, but the system needs to be more ambitious. Its leaning too much on individuals making the most of half chances because instead of setting up to receive vertical passes and buying time and space for our strikers, we are set up to waste time sending the ball wide, giving the opposition time to organize their defense, and then swat the ball to our strikers hoping they do all the work. Lukaku might be a waste of a footballer, but his touches per game have a lot to do with the system as well.
Chelsea needs a CAM. Not an "oh he can pass" like Mount (love the player tho), but the type like Fabregas who can play passes under pressure that seem to give strikers hours to decide where to tap it in. A Moutinho or Isco or Neymar.
