This place was where I started on my journey across Japan, you probably will see Mt Yotei , the twin of Mt Fuji , Hokkaido is a special place because of it's seafood and rustic feel and Lisa and Josh will be blessed by setting foot there
I’ve been loving watching all of your videos. I remember when I went to eat at the Sapporo brewery it was during the snow festival. All I remember was the whole place drowning in snow and not being able to see any color outside except for the red on the building 😂. Then going inside from the cold and all the smoke and wonderful smells. Watching you guys eat just brought back soo many memories of that trip. I really do want to go back to Hokkaido during their lavender season in the spring. Side note, I love Japanese cheese tarts and my absolute fav is from a chain called Pablo. I only know of them in Tokyo so not sure if you will run into one of them up north but if you do run into one during the rest of your Japan trip could you give them a try and let us know which was better. 🙏🏼 One other treat in Tokyo that I highly recommend is a place called Croquant Chou Zakuzaku. Why I mention it here is because it is a treat made with Hokkaido cream. I’m especially sad about this place because they were doing so well pre-pandemic but slowly over the past 3 years the chain in Japan has slowly closed till they are now left with their flagship shop in Harujuku. They appear to be doing well outside of Japan in other parts of Asia though so I hope they are able to start reopening new shops. You should definitely give them a try if you head back to Tokyo.
Sapporo is one of my favorite cities in Japan. It's a great place to visit in the humid Japanese summer to escape the heat. Although I wish the public transport was a bit easier. A good all you can eat choice. However, I avoid those because I always get sick from eating too much! I want to get the value you know! I loved the segue to skillshare lol. You chose an excellent ramen spot. I'm enjoying Busan but I'm on my way to Thailand tonight to escape the cold!
Love the quality and humor, idk much about editing but I especially enjoy your videos, definitely added to my Japan related playlist You guys look so happy I can’t stop feeling jealous and excited for you guys doing every activity 😂❤
This ramen snob nearly had a heart attack when you said you'd only been eating tonkotsu ramen. I get it, it attracted me the most at first, and it is amazing, but there are so many other styles. I thought shoyu ramen was boring when I hadn't been to Japan, but I quickly discovered that I had been so wrong. Miso ramen is fantastic too. But my heart kind of belongs to shio ramen now, which I would never in a million years have thought, since "salt based broth" sounds so generic on paper. But it turned out to be stunningly beautiful and complex.
Hi, I enjoyed your content. May I ask when was the videos taken? We will be back in Sapporo by end October wondering if it’s already autumn there by then. Thanks!
we were in Otaru for 1 day and in Sapporo for 3 days. We felt the 3 days in Sapporo was a good amount of time, but we wished we had more time to spend in the Hokkaido area, outside of Sapporo, actually!
It is TonKotsu not tonkatsu based ramen. Tonkatsu is a schnitzel type dish :) Also If you have time, you should go to Hakata where Tonkotsu ramen originated from :) Also your video makes me want to Sapporo even more!
Hello guys, nice video. I have few questions for our next travel. 1. what is exact date you are in Sapporo? 2. Is it already snowing when you are there? 3. What is the temperature?
we stayed at the Karaksa Sapporo Hotel and loved it :) it's a chain, apparently and find it to be affordable, basic, nice hotel in great areas. And some of them have the bonus public baths, which was a nice option :)
I'm just wondering if this is your full time job? How are you able to travel so much in a year? I've watched a lot of your videos and I'm like, wow I want to travel that much!
just a question for Josh, what is your wedding ring made of? I'm probably wrong, but it looks like NZ Greenstone, after all you did propose to Lisa here in NZ right?
Rice! why japanese rice is so good and sooo expensive?? We heard that the rice paddies in Hokkaido follow a unique harvesting technique...or is it the water? any clue? In any case I get less hungry when travelling around Japan and Asia in general
At the end of the vlog when you total up the costs you should include the total calories consumed...probably longer than your phone number. You would think with UA-cam Premium you could at least smell the aroma of the food. I managed to eat half a pumpkin pie watching that vlog, now that it's ended I need ice cream. Thanks for another great chapter that is Japan.
Again with the epic ad transition! 👏 Oh, and Sapporo looks really fun, too! 😂
Haha thank you :)

That was So Much Fun! Now...I'm starving...🙂
Special guest appearance from Tia and Cheveyo to close a great adventure! 👍👍
There is ALWAYS room for dessert…especially for the Hokkaido soft serve (also hey Tia and Cheveyo!)
Can I just hire Josh to describe all my meals? Hilarious and informative: Another great video guys!

such an awesome gem!! editing this made us crave the ramen for days! :)
There was also a vending machine on top of Mt. Fuji when I went ages ago :)

There's always room for ice cream. Looks amazing.

Travel Thursday, Travel Thursday exploring Sapporo, Japan 🎙🎶🎸
I've been to the Sapporo Bier Garten a couple times. It remains one of my favorite restaurants in all of Japan.
Hi, I enjoyed your content. May I ask when was the videos taken? We will be back in Sapporo by end October wondering if it’s already autumn there by then. Thanks!

What's the date you are visiting Sapporo?
I want to see the golden leaf too
How many days do you recommend in Sapporo/Hokkaido area? I love your videos!
we were in Otaru for 1 day and in Sapporo for 3 days. We felt the 3 days in Sapporo was a good amount of time, but we wished we had more time to spend in the Hokkaido area, outside of Sapporo, actually!
@@LisaAndJosh thank you. Happy Holidays!

Whoops! That’s my Wisconsin accent slipping through :)
Great video! From japan

Hello guys, nice video. I have few questions for our next travel.
1. what is exact date you are in Sapporo?
2. Is it already snowing when you are there?
3. What is the temperature?
hello! we were in Sapporo the beginning of November. It was not snowing when we arrived and it was a cold brisk temperature, around 40-50 F
Hi! Around what time/month of the year did you visit?
You guys really know about Japan more than me! I am from Japaaaaaaaaan!! 😂
H, just wondering, what dates were you in Sapporo, would like to see the autumn leaves
I'm in Sapporo right now and leaving for Osaka next Monday. I would like to know where you ate the miso paste based ramen. Please advise, thank you.
Josh looked so dejected at the end of 120min. 🤣🤣🤣
it's a hard job, but someone's gotta do it haha
What part of November were you in Sapporo? (Early/mid/late)
we were there in early November
9:15 for y’all to know next time, if you struggle with a crane game, you should be able to ask the staff to lower the difficulty!
Had no idea! Good to know :)) for now, they have our money 😂
y'all should check out shio (salt) ramen and shoyu (soy sauce) ramen too :)
would love that!!! thanks!
What hotel had the sauna/onsen? Would you recommend?
we stayed at the Karaksa Sapporo Hotel and loved it :) it's a chain, apparently and find it to be affordable, basic, nice hotel in great areas. And some of them have the bonus public baths, which was a nice option :)
Thank you both for this video. Lisa, thank you for being very beautiful!!!!
Josh, I don't know if you get this a lot, but your voice and mannerisms remind me so much of Will Arnett
haha I haven't heard that one before, but can see that!! :)
17:47 I would judge you if you SKIPPED dessert! Enjoyyyyyyy. 🥰😍🤩#WhenInJapan
great video!
what is that place called at 8:00?
I'm just wondering if this is your full time job? How are you able to travel so much in a year? I've watched a lot of your videos and I'm like, wow I want to travel that much!
Was that actually vanilla ice cream? Or was it milk flavored?
just a question for Josh, what is your wedding ring made of? I'm probably wrong, but it looks like NZ Greenstone, after all you did propose to Lisa here in NZ right?
Did you get the meat sweats after that meal?! It looked like a lot of delicious food! Sapporo looks amazing!
definitely meat sweats! even the onsen couldn't help us--we smelled for a couple of days😂
Rice! why japanese rice is so good and sooo expensive??
We heard that the rice paddies in Hokkaido follow a unique harvesting technique...or is it the water? any clue? In any case I get less hungry when travelling around Japan and Asia in general
Which hotel did you stay in?
We stayed at karaksa Sapporo and loved it! We have a link in the description too
The sauer is not the taste. It's a mix drink with Alkohol. Like vodka lemon and so on. Great drinks. Great video!

Be nice to her!
At the end of the vlog when you total up the costs you should include the total calories consumed...probably longer than your phone number.

hahaha oh man, that would be such a bummer for us to have to tally up!!! enjoy that pumpkin pie! :) more food (sans the smell) coming your way!
