This is one of the few recordings I've seen where the shot of Young Norma's head is clearly visible in the background at the very end. I've always thought that was a brilliant artistic touch... totally creepy and unsettling.
Yeah, I have it. I should say that even though I never really enjoyed Petula in Sunset Blvd, she's really good in that concert. She gave her best performance as Norma in the Cork Opera House concert imho. :)
Okay guys, I'll look for my audios but it might take some time since I don't know where exactly I put them (I kinda dreaded the task of locating them in over 200 unlabeled DVDs lol). I believe I have audios of both the London (Jill Martin & Alisa Endsley) and the Broadway (Karen Mason & Maureen Moore) understudies/standbys. I promise I'll post them as soon as I found them. :)
I'm uploading them right now. Sorry it took so long. It'll be up soon I promise. You'll get to hear four understudy/standby Normas in all (including Karen and Alisa)! Oh, and happy birthday! All the best. :)
Update: I found the Sunset audios with Alisa Endsley and Karen Mason! There is at least one audio of Karen after all! I'll post them all as soon as I find the Jill Martin, Maureen Moore, and Debra Byrne bootlegs. :)
Oh I forgot, I'm not sure if you have seen this before but there is a video of Karen's performance of 'With One Look' in SB on Broadway: /watch?v=UvpeDDzl2I8 I don't know who uploaded it though. It could be Karen herself or someone really close to her since it looks like a proshot footage.
Though Miss Buckley is good; Very GOOD in the role of Norma, better than any OTHERs that have played or 'play-acted' in or at the Role; STILL can NOT accept as a 'oh, gee...what a LOVELY Costume, demented Norma is wearing'---in the Finale. Whomever imputed into the Brain of the Costume Designer, (and copied ad nauseum ) this most silly, piece of Folly. As a Gay Man, who assisted several Drag Queen friends, in my time...NONE of them would have ever done such a dis-service to themselves OR their audience with this outfit. Seriously,, Not even a Spazzed-out Sister Drag at Carnival in Rio de Janeiro would wear such a get-up....LoL..
Treasure!!! So wonderful! Thank you dear Betty Buckley!!! ♥️Xxxooo
Best Norma ever. So few clips include the screen Norma. THANK YOU, thank you for filming and posting this most treasured of my theatre moments. x
I love that growl at the end. It's brilliant.
Yes, still fan-bloody-tastic after all this time. Best theatre experience ever.
I have watched this over and over again. It's so wonderful!
This show was SO good. Betty and Glenn were absolutely brilliant as Norma.

Taka Ono agree! I think is so sad to see her last smile, saying goodbye to his youth and hapiness.
@@raymundorivas9536 agree!
the BEST Norma!!
Outstanding. Never bettered. Thanks for the memories. xx
Absolutely the BEST Norma!!
Phenomenal!!!!
While I have never seen Sunset Boulevard in London or on Broadway, from these videos, I think my favorite is also Betty Buckley...
There is only one Betty Buckley!
Thank you for the link. I have seen it before, but I enjoyed watching it again.
Brilliant choice ALW - her madness is unaccompanied, complete unto itself.
Thats alright. Thank you so much for all of your fantastic uploads! I cannot express my gratitude enough :-)
Thank you so much! Greatly appreciated!
oooh i would love to hear that!
Update: I'm currently uploading four finales by various Norma understudies and standbys. They'll be up pretty soon. Hope you guys enjoy it! :)

i would love to hear Alisa in the finale! i would love to hear her rendition of With One Look as well! :-)
You're welcome! Btw, I believe I have an audio of Alisa Endsley (Patti & Betty's understudy) somewhere. I still have to look for it though...
thank you!

I am dying of anticipation to hear the finale audio of Karen Mason and Alisa Endsley. Can you upload those please? (it's my birthday!)

Sadly, there are no videos or audios of Karen Mason in circulation as far as I know...
There's one going around on UA-cam right now. It's very good, but it's cut off at the end.
do you, by any chance, have a finale video of Karen Mason, Glenn Close's alternate?
Oh I forgot, I'm not sure if you have seen this before but there is a video of Karen's performance of 'With One Look' in SB on Broadway:

Have you got something of the concert with petula clark and Michael ball?
