Because of the rotational limits of the 14 inch per diameter wheel, combined with standard bike drivetrain parts, one of the only ways to easily make pedaling at higher speeds better on this bike is to move to a larger chainwheel, a 70 tooth for example. However I think I will leave mine as it is.
You wouldn't be able to get up hills if you did that lol
@@niteblaster1 it goes up most paved hills all by itself...the legs are just assistance....it absolutely would go up hills with a 70 front chainnwheel.
Great deal for the summer! Because of removable battery you can charge it in any place. 🤔
Agree. Easily removable battery is a huge advantage! It's also possible to have and use more than 1 batteries if you are planning to rent those ebikes ;)
Battery Rattles on mine and neighbour's 2 bikes
We put big jubilee clip around
Battery to stop Rattles and prevent it getting stolen when locking it up lol
Black duct tape over clip
I've had my L3 1 year
I was getting about 46 miles using just throttle
After 167 charge cycles
The Range has now gone down to about 27 miles
I had no problems with it
I fit full hydraulic brakes
And kenda 2.125 Tyres
The price of the battery is more than £400 😱
That's a brutal drop performance... Must be low quality battery, I guess.
Hey mate!
What’s your comment on it now?
Is it worth buying for a long ride? And sometimes for delivery job too!
Thanks
Thanks for the info bro
super helpful
After 2 Weeks!; I want to know after '2 YEARS'!!!
Unfortunately I don't own this bicycle anymore, however you could go through some forums, facebook groups to check long term reviews & insights.
My wife has bad feet and needs exercise as she can’t walk very far we thought about this bike, would she get much exercise peddling without power? Would the gears be a problem?
Thanks for your amazing reviews 👏
Well, you can freely choose how much you want to pedal yourself and how much power / pedal assistance you wish to get from the bike itself. You can still pedal while pushing the throttle, and if you feel too tired - you can 100% rely on motor power, with no pedalling.
If it is sure that that the speed limit Will be unloced in the new version I will buy it tomorrow.. Is it sure?
I’m waiting too ,so soon as they proclaim that the bike goes at list 35 km I buy
Been using the L3 for a week and there's still no need to charge it lol. Also, can anyone recommend some good 14 inch tires? The current CST tires are fine, but I had CST branded tires before and they disintegrated after a month of summer riding
Haha, massive battery in L3 model :)) Not sure about better tires replacement.
3:52 ride on the battery alone (harry potter meme song plays)
Good idea, didn't thought about it :D
Czy po wyczerpaniu się baterii jazda jest bardzo trudna, czy zupełnie niemożliwa?
You can still ride a bike if battery is dead. Not as smooth as regular bike, but possible.
__
Nadal możesz jeździć na rowerze, jeśli bateria jest rozładowana. Nie tak płynnie jak zwykły rower, ale możliwe.
best fiido its with suspension 16 alloy wheels and l3 battery no need other fiidos
20" wheels would be even better, 500W motor and 20Ah battery. That would be nice combo.
The breaks Handlebar's is not basic and cheapYou are clueless.
Hello, compliments for your review! I have one question, i am 181cm tall, it’s confortable to drive L3 also for 30-40 km trip or I am too tall? Thank you
Hi. Thanks for your comment. For 181cm - this Fiido L3 will be fine ;)
Unplug front light and handlebars go much higher
You can buy extension to plug it back in
I'm 6ft and my knees touch handlebars
Every review one these type of bikes is so suburban-oriented where the question is; will this foldable bike fit easily in the trunk of a car? What I want to know is: can this bike be pushed/dragged easily in the subway when it's folded? I want to reduce the carrying part to a minimum.
it's awkward to handlewhen folded. I put it in a friend's honda odyssey by simply lowering the handlebars all the way and leaning it upright in the rear cargo area. With a subway, i would roll it in intact, stand next to it on the escalator, then fold it if needed once i got inside the subway car, if you dont' get stopped. it's really small, people dont seem to mind it when i do things like just park it, at "full size" in the side of the entreance vestibule at my local cvs.
The L3 is amazing punk.
So, which bike is now the best from Fiido?
Best is the one you need based on your individual preferences. I personally like the most Fiido M1 Pro, because I like to ride on off-road tracks :))
@@NiuxTech what is the difference between l2 and l3? Thx
@@monikanasufi2868 hi, Fiido L2 used to have suspensions and Fiido L3 doesn't have it anymore. However due to that - Fiido L3 is ligher ebike and it also has a bigger 23.2Ah battery (compared to 20Ah on L2 model).
Hi. I am currently looking to buy FIIDO L3. The discount code did not work. Is there any that if you could please suggest. thank you 😊
my fiido L2 is 1 year old this month and i've put an estimated 5000 miles on it.
Very good detailed review and bike! I'm glad you talked also about the speed unlocking. S o when i order now a bike from banggood. It will be the version i can unlock?
Hi, thanks for watching and your comment! Yes, the new batch of L3 ebikes can be unlocked up to 35km/h.
@@NiuxTech Hi, please can you explain to us how to unlock this bike up to 35 km/h?
@@NiuxTech Please can you inform us when the new version comes with the top speed of 35 km or faster L3 Fiido are available? Regards from Finland.
I will reduce your range a lot
But it is more fun lol
@@Stanovo102
Press both buttons until the screen flashes once
then press the left button
and then the right
Really hope this ebike can come to Singapore
Will you do a video on the Xiaomi ax9000?
What is range on full throttle?
Never tested full throttle, but I would guess it should get around 50-60km.
Hi, can you do a review of himo z20 a compare it to Fiido d11 or L3. Thankss
Unfortunately I no longer own those ebikes so I can't make comparson review. Although if you want longest range - pick L3, if you want best design and lightweight option - get D11. If you want more sturdy & solid option with wider tires - then Z20 is the one :)
Can you review Xiaomi Mi 11 5G please ? From Viet Nam, I am a new fan of you . Paece !
I wish I could get Mi 11 for review, will do it if I get :))
Is the Fiido L3 display wireless ? Or does it have wires to connect to the controller ?
Hi. It has wired connection.
How to unlock 35km/h? tell me please...
Check my guide, but it's for the new gen L3's
Sad they took the shocks front and rear away. Really sad.
I think because those shocks were really cheap and basic and might cause just more problems and repair/upgrade in longer term. I mean, I wouldn't mind having shocks on L3 as well, but not sure how much they are effective at the end of the day. I have tested M1 / M1 Pro and suspensions are not very effective, cheapest in the market.
Hi. I was wondering if you could help me? I have the Fiido L2. And I want now to upgrade to the L3. But there is something I am stumped on. The connectors on the controller has 4 wires(grey white brown and black) into 1 for both the brakes and the throttle. And the grey and white are supposedly for the brakes. And the throttle is a Julet 3pin. I bought the extension cables Julet 3 pins. But I dont know exactly where each of the 3 wires connect to. I was hoping maybe you could look at yours and tell me or make a short youtube video showing ? There is not anyone for at 300 miles around here that will even look at my bike, because they do not sell it. That is why I am asking you. Please and thankyou.
Sorry, I don't have this bike anymore, so I can't check it for you. Sorry.
i would cut into the motor harness and hard-crimp the connections using marine grade butt connectors. That's the simplest way. Dealing with julet connectors is a whole religion. label everything clearly before you start.
I have a Fiido L2 and I want to upgrade the back motor wheel with the Fiido L3 motor wheel. And it was said in another video that the motor on the L3 is more like a 400w. I have a controller that is compatible with both a 250w and 350w. (I need it for the higher speed you can get out of the L3 once you do the speed hatch with the display.) So,, I was wondering if you might know if I might need more than a 250w - 350w controller ?
Honestly, I don't think you will feel more difference with such an upgrade. As far as I remember L3 use 350W motor.
i think the l3 must have a different motor winding than the L2 for higher speed. see my comments above.
Can you correct me with my understanding the maximum speed of pedal asst mode 1 is 18kph? Or mode 3 at 18kph? Thanks you
Mode 3 is around 18kph
That's only 11mph😰
@@niteblaster1
You dont pedal.this unless you are.on a steep hill. The L3 is basically a scooter with a SEAT..That's how you have.to look at it.
Thanks for the review
How durable the tyres are?
Can we feel for even little bumps on the road?
And its been an year with it whats your comment on it now. Is it worth buying?
Hi. I don't own this bicycle anymore. You can feel the bumps (smaller as well) on the road, because the wheels / tires are not big & there is no suspension system build on this model.
But this is a still great compact bicycle with large battery, however most pleasure you will get riding on smooth even roads.
@@NiuxTech thanks for the advice
@@NiuxTech and can you suggest me a good long range bike which i can use it for delivery and commuting on uk roads
Hi and thanks for your review! :) Do you know what maximum grade this thing can climb only with throttle? What was approximately the steepest hill you climbed and with what weight on board etc...?
Hi. Thanks for watching! Appreciate your comment. I didn't measure maximum grade for hill climbing, but it should be just fine for everything up to 15%. The load around 80kg.
@@NiuxTech thank you!
@@NiuxTech I got mine today and it climbed all the hills near my house with ease! (I'm about 60 kg)
@@Wigwamwish yeah, with less weight it will climb easier. Did you also unlock more power and max speed to 35km/h?
@@NiuxTech No I didn't! How can one?
I just bought this bike, do you know if there is a way to unlock the speed to 35km/h? I have seen it's possible to reach this speed....
Turn off Fiido ebike ✓
Hold both brake levers + Max Throttle ✓
Turn on the bike while holding ✓
After 5 sec release everything ✓
Restart the Fiido ebike ✓
@@NiuxTech thanks for that, unfortunately it doesn't seem to work! Is this the method you used on your l3?
@@NiuxTech Please can you do a video unlocking the speed on the Fiido L3? Regards
Hi. What range can you get with L3?
Depends. Only using full electric power & no pedalling - I can get 60km+, with pedal assistance - up to 100km.
@@NiuxTech my Fiido D1 can only go about 20km range. So i'm looking for a better range bike
@@NiuxTech Really? Thats shocking I weigh 202ibs I got 74 miles on full electric. Strange it can't be 60km+ should be more range for you. I mean it is a 23 AH battery will full electric mode.
the battery look too low? look easy to hit.
I think the battery is okay. Not too low, never had hit anything.
@@NiuxTech what about if riding from the road to the footpath that step ,that about 4 to 5 inches high.
and a lot of UA-cam video D11 are little be short for tall people, I fought out we can adjust the seat forward and backwards.
@@alanw5812 you can adjust the seat height (up and down) only, not forwards/backwards. I am 185cm myself, I have been riding Fiido D11 with no problems.
Of course, it's a smaller size bike with 20" wheels, so don't expect the same feeling as riding full size bike with 28-29" wheels... But in terms of comfort - D11 / L3 are good, because main thing is to adjust the seat height based how tall are you.
Sorry, I didn't understand your question: "what about if riding from the road to the footpath that step ,that about 4 to 5 inches high."
@@NiuxTech I mean the curb, and that is two 5mm allenkey bolts to tighten the seat and the battery, on one side you can see the ruler mark.
@@NiuxTech I just didn't try to adjust angle with that two bolts, may need to loose more.
