These rules are perfect! I especially appreciate the first one as a manager who's been told many times "you need to be louder". While there is obviously a need for volume and the ability to be heard, in terms of yelling it's no way to skip past respect from those working under you. Once again, thank you for the very useful video
@RossetBespokeButlers no problem at all! Also, if you wouldn't mind answering a question I have. Do you have any knowledge on the International Butler Academy in the Netherlands? I was considering attending and wanted to know, from someone in the industry, your opinion on the subject
I have recently accepted a job as household manager, I will start in 2 weeks. One of the questions I have is how do I manage breaks and lunch breaks? I’m managing 3 housekeepers, 2 nannies, and one houseman. When should they take breaks, how often, etc. Could you please help me?
@@RossetBespokeButlers thank you for taking the time to reply, and I would love to watch a video on this subject. It would also be beneficial to understand about conflict management amongst staff
I don't particularly want to be a butler or a house manager, but I am still drawn towards their nature, and this video partially explains why. It would be great to just hang out with a bunch of butlers just to assimilate to such a grounded persona. That is my selfishness.
As someone who's had a manager who couldn't control their attitude, I can definitely agree that nothing will make you lose respect for someone quicker. It caused the entire team, who were all initially very eager, to become jaded and apathetic with their work. All of your other points were just as poignant!
