👑We love the vibes and HAPPEA to see how much you two are enjoying the Austrian Alps vanlife. Ever thought about doing the Bavarian Alps? Looking forward to more travel beans!💛
I'm a Brazilian guy. I learn English from your videos and I say it's amazing because you are nice and fun people. Of course, I also like that UK accent. I hope you enjoy this trip and I also hope to meet you someday. This snowy weather is so cool! Thanks! See you later.
I totally get it when you say what would an alien think? I do that when I go to amazing places like Yellowstone National Park or beaches with amazing stone formations. I laughed out loud when you went tobogganing, I grew up spending a few winter breaks in Boston, MA and we would toboggan every day that there was snow. Darn, I just bought 3 Myheritage kits a few weeks ago. I haven't done them yet.
Did Al have to wait until those vegan Jits had gone before he could get his beloved sausages? I see that you have a 360 camera. Some great views from that!! Also enjoyed your laughter from sledding, brought back many memories of laughing after epic crashes when I was younger and with our children.
Bloody love your video's so inspiring. All the shit in the uk and you too are out there having the times of your lives. Well done both of you for just living life !!
Although it might be counter-intuitive, consider visiting the American west in winter. Plenty of van rental companies and unbelievable snow amounts and quality. You were spot-on in your assessment of snow that is ugly and slushy and sloppy and gray versus snow that is light, dry, fluffy and brightly sun-lit. Most of the snow in the Rockies is either the latter or not there. What do I mean by "not there"? When the atmosphere is so dry, the sun causes the snow to sublime which is the process of snow going directly from solid to vapor without all that ugly mucking about as a liquid. I'm a Colorado native, but also recommend Utah powder.
Narnia .....Funny when people see the world thru another perspective . Like winter growing up in Canada we take it for granted as just meh snow again .
Hi Alex and Emma, how nice to see photos of my parents on your video (yes it is the same 2 people haha) it was a bit of a shock but in a good way. Love the colourizing too. Impressive) - videos are great, keep 'em coming.... Xxx
Interesting you like Family History. I have, in the past year, researched my family history. I can now trace it back to the 12th century to Northern England, Ireland and Scotland. The Austrian Strudel looks delicious. Its hard to believe how "Shitty" your van was when you bought it from the garage. I enjoy your wonderful travel videos very much.
What a lovely time. WOW. I feel that there more winter options in Austria then the Canadian Rockies. Is there Tubing there? Much faster then tobogganing. Not much control either. But hilarious all the same. Another calmer activity is snow shoeing. Stay safe, keep laughing.
Within one minute of this video you somehow managed to perfectly sum up the TRUTH about vanlife. Filthy, but beautiful coffee spots. We are here for it!! Loving seeing your T4 tucked away in snowy spots. x
Many years ago, I got to "Rodelbahn" at night in Nendaz, Switzerland. The crispy night air, the clear stars above, the twinkling lights down in the valley, the absolute stillness, and then - the "SHUSH" as we flew down the hill - utterly exhilarating, will never forget it. If they offer nighttime sledding anywhere on your travels - DO IT!
Best activity in the Alps? A torchlit descent on skis.. I used to lead them in French Alps with the French ski school with military grade flares (pre health and safety days)! Well worth a go if you can find somewhere that will take you on one.
It is so hilarious watching you kids discover snow. I just shovelled 18 inches of it out my back door so the dog can get out. I didn't notice any special crystal effects.
Cross country looks fun ,but yes looks heavy on the legs etc. But a Great workout 😅 ( not the shooting ). The footage / scenery is absolutely breathtaking 😍 could look at it all day. Looking forward to to your next adventure. Take care .
Great video! We loved watching you guys sled down the hill! Alex, your eyes were like tiny blue galaxies!!!!! Emma, you rocked at shooting! You're a natural!
Hi, it has been wonderful to see you both enjoying Ramsau\Dachstein, and now Filzmoos. Great to see the new Sixpack Mooslehen lift in action. So many memories for me and family from that area of Austria. For the ultimate Rodelbahn head to Bramberg am Wildkogel in the West of Salzburgerland. 14 km of pure joy! Hire a Rodel from Kaspar's Smaragdrodelverleih at the bottom of the slope. How are you coping with the with the temperatures heading to the minus teens, that I think you now have.? Stay safe.
By this time, it's like watching family members having a very good time in holiday season and let us be part of it by sending footage from their journeys and adventures ! Thank you, Emma and Alex, for all your time, spontaneity and fun to do more and more things "out of your comfort zone" ! I'm so glad i found you a long time ago and can be part of your big little world. Beste Grüße aus Hamburg !
I'd love to try biathlon. We watch it all the time here in Sweden, but I've never actually got to try it myself. And to comfort Alex a bit, x-country skiing is not easy 🙂
Hey Emma & Alex...once again a very cool vlog, especially being half German, I am ever so jealous!! We are still waiting on our T6.1 Swamper conversions, with an ETA of May for delivery and mid June for completing the Conversion. All the best for 2022 and many more vlogs hopefully!!!
Frozen rain is hail. Snow crystals are formed in the high atmosphere at low temperatures, hence our wet and large snowflakes as the high winds over us here are often too warm. Stay safe. 👸🧔
I know you both think it’s strange how Americans are so interested in our heritage and ancestry. It’s because we (Americans) are all immigrants to our own country, so we are curious about our origin. You are British, the same as your parents, grandparents, etc. We are often of mixed ancestry with European, Native American, African, etc. decent. We are “The Great Melting Pot,” all mixed up together. It’s more fun and more difficult for us to trace our lineage. 👍🏻
Wow, what a film! The biathlon was cool to see. After seeing y'all having fun, I might add that to my bucket list. The sled riding on a proper mountain is on there for sure. I wish you a lovely day!
So guys from where you are you could go Mittenwald in Germany which is a totally chocolate box town (been there many times skiing), Zugspite is high and good for the railroad through the mountain, Kuhtai in Austria is very high just south of Innsbruck or come south and say hello to Slovenia and checkout Lake Bled Solcava Valley and many more places
Your videos are amazing! How did you film both of you sledding? You should consider doing an instructional video showing how you are able to film all the things that you do. You are very talented, but your personalities are the best I have ever seen! BEANS OUT!!
Looks like a lot of fun Beans. Be careful. Don't run each other over . Thank you for taking us along for the ride. Sending you lots of love.😍💗 Harriet and Jim. Richmond, Va.
So applely 🤣🤣 I’m soooo bloody bloody jealous, we were in Austria 2 years ago just before COVID hit, we want to be THERE, you guys look so happy, have fun guys, love your work 👍👍stay safe.
My dad while in the army learned cross country ski while in Norway (with training with Norwegian army) and downhill skiing in Germany and Austria. We always said we wanted to go as a family but never got round to it :( really nice to see it looks as much fun as he always said it was!
Hi Emma Alex wow you are haven’t the time of your life when I went to Switzerland I done toboggan what it was just don’t go near the yellow snow ,lol so how long are stopping there hope you don’t run out of anything mmmlol well great blog till next time take care keep safe , John 🌹👌🔥😍🙌🐕🐕🐕
This video closely resembles my conception of a winter wonderland. Truly gorgeous scenery, and perfect videography. And an intro to shooting with Anschutes. Nice! Living vicariously thru your channel Beans. Another great one. Thank you.
I lived in Milan Italy for while and would drive to Cortina each weekend and ski,I always thought that it was a lot of effort to get to the top, but the down hill run was made it worth it
We have recently found your channel and just love it. Currently we live in Texas, USA . in the winters in Colorado, USA we would go tubbing. Which is using and old car tire tube and over inflating it and "sledding down the mountain!!!!". We would pick up a tube at the local mechanic for $2 dollars (40 years ago) and off to the mountains you go. We would uses the same tubes in the summer and go tubbing in the local river. (Boulder Creek.) Love the videos. Thanks so much. 😀

Try doing that in the dark, 2 up , throwing snow balls , after a really good dinner plus a few beers. It was hilarious!!!!!
I totally get it when you say what would an alien think? I do that when I go to amazing places like Yellowstone National Park or beaches with amazing stone formations. Tobogganing looks good & the cross country with shooting
You really nailed it in this video. That is what winter life is all about.

You guys are doing January in style. Big thumbs up.
Watching this video on my smart phone was like viewing it in a theater. Beautiful! I seen a post about an action camera???

Bloody love your video's so inspiring. All the shit in the uk and you too are out there having the times of your lives. Well done both of you for just living life !!
Cross country skiing is really hard. You look as if you are enjoying it. What a wonderful experience.
