Good video bro! Just found that my idler pulley was worn bad and so I wanted to understand what to do to get the thing out before doing it. Definitely subscribing for help with any other issues I've got on my car.
This channels gonna blow up man, Yo have you ever changed the hydraulic tensioner on the lower pass side? Hold a stethoscope on the belt itself U can feel/hear pulses that matches the tick/knock. All pulleys sound great so thinking the hydraulic tensioner lost all fluid. Thoughts?
it is possible, does the belt squeak under full load? I am editing a belt tensioner replacement Right now Actually. I would pull off the belt and rotate each pulley by hand to make sure they spin freely and properly. but it is possible that it leaked out all of its fluid, I would think the belt would slip and squeak instead of making a ticking noise
M3NACE will follow your advice. The only reason I think pulleys are ok is I touch each with a stethoscope and they all sound the same, no odd ball screetch from any pull.
M3NACE oh def will check 1 by 1. No squel at all under load or any rpm condition. My belts are shit got do both then I'll scope each one out. Thanks bro!

Yeah true that, wouldn't hurt to pull the belt off and spin them by hand though

+1 belts just might be bad. best of luck brotha!
My lazy ass thought it would be harder than that😂
lmao
My e36 doesn’t have a pulley on the alternator
Some cars didnt, dont worry about it
@@M3NACE I bought a kit and the pulley came with it. is there any way to put it on?
Could I buy a longer bolt? because the bolt that’s on the alternator is not long enough
@@anasuddin5684 you can try, you will need a bolt from a car that has the pulley from factory.
