I wish they make submarine fleets not just submarines, call it escort fleet, you can slot destroyers/light carriers and able to call them into battle just like subs. Even with the DD buffs, still lacks of a reason to use them. Every vanguard fleet is better with CA+2CL right now, and i don't want anti-submarine to be the only future for destroyers.

@@kkgc5760 What's the point? Subs already do a bunch of damage on bosses and trivialize any mob battle. The main problem with subs is that they cost oil. If they brought the oil cost down low enough that it was a free damage button no one would be complaining.

TBH i wanted to be able slot in CVLs more than DD because in chp.13, right now only my 120+ ship with super high AA can survive the fight, which is very limited. Imagine you can call in some CVL fighters to help with killing the aircrafts when subs can't kill the boss fast enough. So basically subs = dmg, dd = large smoke screen + anti submarine, CVL = boost AA + launch fighters. After like 30 seconds they would retreat just like the subs.

They are trash tier. Shima and yudachi are both rainbow so they are expected to be good…I mean they are rainbow. If you take other DD, I’m sure they will underperform

However since we're absolutely abusing the oil cap with End Game Fleets... yeah, I think DD's could get some more buffs since I don't see both Torpedo Spread and All Out Assault buffs combined would be enough for OpS. Yostar/Manjuu should create an Auxillary Gear that increases DD Oil Cost at the exchange for insane buffs.
There are lots of bad DDs,maybe there are more bad dds with high gun power.But this also applies to every other ship type lmao.Every ship in the game has a purpose.

Shimakaze, Jintsuu and Retrofit Yuudachi is also a good combo for torpedo fleet? Or Noshiro is way better than Jintsuu?
I used Noshiro here because she's the tankier option while still offering a vanguard buff.
