Calling it a cold open is criminal, because these are 🔥.
but they missed one key detail - it's doot universary* 😓
*Cody and Noel*
“yeah people trying to unalive themselves because crypto crashed”
*Next sentence*
“We like to take a quick break to thank the sponsors of today’s episode BETTER HELP”
Omg right?
Came to find this comment
Had me cackling
Could not have been better timed
And that’s on product placement
the tag still being on Cody's hat was just icing on the cake

I need a whole golfing session from Cody

Cody and noel do golf
We need this
Good think they mentioned duke.
@@yootd3m that’s what i was gonna say
Cody and Noel do: Golfing
Honestly glad you guys talked about crypto. Not enough people know how much this shit can destroy their lives.
The problem isn't that people don't know, they do. The problem is that they decide to gamble and risk it anyway thinking it won't happen to them specifically.
people never manage risk and didnt take profits when they had the opportunity
He lost £3 mill which is like $5 mill in wearier currency.
Overall KSI has flushed about $10m down the shitter on crypto.
@@iDealMedley yup, it’s just like going to a casino, winning a bit and then eventually losing all of it because you didn’t know when to get out
25:10 😂😂😂😂😂
Cody was waaay too convincing as the pretentious golf dude in that cold open. Acting on point!
you mean hes a white guy?😂
@@thewholecircus2792 😐
@@thewholecircus2792 no i meant like how pretentious he was lmao
definitely agree with Noel’s sentiment about loss in investing. every website will say “understand the risks / volatility / etc.”, but I almost feel like it should be as blatant as the fair credit reporting act made credit card info. literally a giant “YOU COULD LOSE ALL OF THIS MONEY” before you’re allowed to buy. it could protect hopeful, but uninformed buyers.
Underrated comment
Slick transition from “Luna crashed and people are feeling Really Bad” to the Better Help ad lol
noel thank u for describing exactly why i won’t get into crypto. the anxiety of loss no matter how small
I related to that wholeheartedly. I don't know about you, but I contextual money loss in hours worked and I feel it in the pit of my stomache.
Honestly, despite KSI’s reckless financial, decisions I do respect him being open and public about things like struggling with purpose and meaning on the daily. That’s huge for an influencer. I just started therapy and seeing him post that brought me comfort.
Completely agree. Like I think it might have been responsible to separate those tweets from each other but I respect that he's transparent about the fact that his life (and the lives of people who live like him) aren't all sunshine and rainbows, and that financial stability doesn't guarantee happiness.
Yo I get what you mean but this comment has me rolling
"This rich influencer lost a fuck ton of money and that brought me comfort."
@@troglodytebrain it’s nothing to do with him losing money. It’s the fact that he’s openly talking about him dealing with depression and getting therapy to remedy that. That’s immensely comforting given that I grew up with him on my screen playing fifa.
@@troglodytebrain You should probably read his comment again because name checks out for sure. It wasn't about money, it was about KSI struggling with meaning in his life despite having money.
Did you guys read the very first thing I said? I just think the comment is funny OUT OF CONTEXT. That's literally why the first thing I wrote was 'I get what you mean'.
KSI's tweets are still probably good su*cide prevention if we're being honest. Yes, he's much richer than the people on the subreddit seriously contemplating but they need to hear positivity from someone who went through it. Absolutely none of the celebrity ambassadors are ever gonna admit anything. Friends, family, etc. are still a reason to stay alive, even if it's no financial solution...
I get what you mean, its his way to cope but for the average person. You lose over a million you no longer have a family
@@aaaa-xf3hx i guess i meant more like ur parents or siblings and i hope they’d stick around for most people in some way regardless of money loss. i get not everyone’s family is the same though. i understand what u mean, marriage & kids would be extremely strained. KSI is absolutely speaking from privilege & the perspective of someone who didn’t lose everything. i do think giving up & giving in to depression/anxiety is a surefire way to guarantee your relationship will never recover after extreme financial difficulty like this though. a lot of marriages went through even worse in 2008 & made it out so it is possible.
@@pabuy5766 I think we agree but youre just underestimating how much of their life people put into this, if youve lost your house, car, lose your job because you cant afford to get to work it would take an extremely strong individual to look on the bright side
@@aaaa-xf3hx oh yeah definitely, i mean mostly i mean regarding s* prevention which in this case i think is mostly centered on preventing extremely impulsive decisions & spikes. im not referring to the long term mental health ramifications really
Chruch yo
Noel loving Hamilton and then getting sponsered by Redbull is the funniest shit.
Kudos to Noel for being respectful about the whole Luna thing. I think it's very easy for people to revel in the schadenfreude of seeing crypto bros lose everything but Noel is mature enough to realize that for some people this is a massive deal.
Separating your dislike of crypto bros from your feelings about people who didn't have that money to lose and simply didn't know better is big and I think it speaks volumes about his character.
Definitely do the video on each others channel. Watching Cody do a stand up bit with a mic and big ass headphones while Noel sits and reacts to fallout shelters for house cats, that’s good.
The last segment of them being like “ so cool” is how me and my friends talk to each other everyday I was dying
I’m a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER (CFP) and also a millennial, 26yrs old. One of the first things we do with clients is take them through an exercise showing them how much they could lose in the stock market. Not to scare them, but to gauge their level of comfort in risk.
You’re right though, too many people are wanting to just rich quick and the harsh reality is that it’s a slow grind. Stick to the s&p 500 index if you’re young and call it a day. It gets more complicated when you start to enter retirement. Wish i could get this message across all gen z and millennials
loud and clear// bump
@James Iron hell yeah man, some trips around the sun and I'm out lol
Thank you CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER.
cody's acting here is giving very Jason Sudeikis
oh yeah. Noel’s form is what blessed him here, cody wouldn’t even know where to begin. You can totally tell he is all in his head. Noel, on the other hand, hell- the other SPECTRUM- is calm, cool, and collected. He’s calculated. He’s ready. He’s here. He is preparing for the worst but hoping for the best. He succeeded in outshining the competition- even with faulty gear. It is revolutionary- this moment, it will live in infamy. Cody won’t live this down. As a community, we have to hold him accountable. He cannot be allowed to move forward with his golfing career. #CodySucKo
This is now a copy pasta
The hashtag made me laugh out loud

Dude the finance talk in this episode is so huge for me and represents my mentality towards financial education. I’m a Finance major with a concentration in Investments and I had a hard time coming to grips with the fact that simple concepts i had to wait until being an upperclassman to learn. The shit I learned should be taught in high school in my opinion.
It's hard to feel any kind of schadenfreude over the whole crypto crash in the reality of it - it's just incredibly sad and unfair, and I completely agree with Noel that the reality check of 'what if you lose everything' should be emphasized at the start rather than like...when it's actually happening. Really really sucks.
can’t imagine the crisis Cody would be in if he ever got invited to an A-list movie premiere…a lose-lose situation for him really
It’s okay, because he’ll be reassured by the fact that he’s not surrounded by poors
@@TheOtherChosenOnes the peasants 🤢
That would be a really funny story actually
"Cody Koladesiac" lmao
Honestly kind of shame Cody didnt choose to go by "Cody Kola". He could've been one of those youtubers that chugs soda.

No witty comment, just gotta say I look forward to all TMG studios podcasts and I never imagined we would get so much great weekly content!
Now please make 8 ball weekly as well :’)
Couldn’t have said it better myself!
“Let me explain it for people who are not into Crypto.”
*starts speaking Swahili*
Lol
36:30 It'd be the idea of stoicism. That you have to be ok with the absolute worst possibility, and still be content; regardless of outcome
@Nonaya Bidness Yeah, other one is to feel worthless just changed it now haha
Noel want lewis’ skin so he won’t have to deal with eczema.
Honestly, I really appreciate it when you guys talk about things like crypto. You taking the time to start these conversations makes your podcast more valuable than just the laughs. You’re talking about goofy things and also things that are really prevalent in our society today. I appreciate these episodes so much
Is it just me or is Cody getting some gains back? He's looking kinda jacked
He’s so handsome!!!!! King!!!!
ik he's reading this rn like☺️
I know that the crypto segment was a serious one, but to be honest, I’m glad you guys did it. People need to know how risky that shit truly is
ive litterly been hoping yall would do the each others video thing that shit would be hilarious
Same
We know that they will
Cody and Noel need to do a boxing match. Not necessarily against each other. Separate fights against different people.
I can't picture Cody fight lol
@@breezemansker3366 He's in pretty good shape. He could beat a lot of influencers.
@@Sam-Lusk I just don't think he really has a fighters body or mindset lol he seems so sweet

Crazy how they got JackSepticEye to be Cody’s caddie🤯
I think noel said it the best, as much as i cringe at crypto bros, shit is so tuff out here i don't blame them for risking all of it for the chance of a better life. I mean that one guy was gonna buy a house because of it, now mans homeless.
That last segment was HILARIOUS to me bc my oldest & favorite insult to people is “oh, ur cool” sarcastically and people get SO mad 😂 it’s just a learned reaction for me atp 😭
dude Cody is wearing a Saint Maud A24 shirt, mad respect. that film is so underrated
When Cody speaks Spanish he sounds like Dora I don't make the rules
Thanks Cody and Noel, you guys have fully convinced me to get a Prince Albert. Wish me luck!!
I really liked this podcast specifically because it does still have that same TMG feel, while also being intentional with the message and trying to have a genuine conversation regarding crypto. Great job guys! Love the videos as always.
not the better help ad after the trauma from that money crashing or whatever happened 😭
that idea of doing a video on each others channels is genius
I’m here to FULLY SUPPORT CODY I’m not going to a movie theater! We didn’t give Noel heat for not wanting to eat mustard + watermelon and etc.
I’m the cusp of Millenial/Gen Z that had gunman shooting drills in elementary school so … I EXTRA support anyone not going ♥️
“Leave [Cody] alone” vibes^
A little bummed y’all didn’t talk about creator clash lol
yeah, i was looking for that too (in the transcript), especially since Noel tweeted about Michael. Maybe next time?
@@veravye I hope I wanna hear his takes lol
They said this was filmed the same week as the last episode so it probably just hadn’t happened yet
The little high five after tan these balls made my heart burst I love these fools
Even if any investment seems secure, hyped up, and you feel you're ahead of the curve. Never invest more than you're willing to lose, the #1 take away from my finance classes in business school. Also, diversify, so you don't lose everything at once. It's really unfortunate to see something like this happen again with uninformed investors.
Cody is always on point! Never fail to put your fans/viewer’s thoughts into words whether he’s being serious or funny.
My brother had a lot of money in crypto and he’s 19, just graduated high school. Everything he invested in has plummeted and he’s been really depressed. I knew this was going to happen eventually, you shouldn’t invest a large part of your finance if you’re not ready to lose it all. To everyone who is a young adult and is hurting from crypto, I love you and it will be okay. Life does this thing where it brings you down and it brings you up again. Don’t lose hope.
Hope he's doing better
the problem they dont manage the risk and take profits
Thank you for this. Best wishes to you and your brother.
Actually thankful they talked about it and proud they still know when to be serious. I got of crypto when I made some money (not much) and realized I just didn’t know enough to keep playing the game. So them talking about it helps keep me informed. Sorry for those who got the shaft for this. Shit is fucked.
I'm with Cody on refusing to go to the theater. Last time I went (for The Batman and Morbius) the entire theater was dirty, stunk, someone kept ripping ass (smell-o-vision for Morbius) and we were in one of those surround sound cinemas but a good 4 or more speakers were shot so the audio was shoddy.
Vouched to never go again and just wait for streaming/rental. The biggest plus being we can pause to use the bathroom, closed captions, and we can eat/drink whatever. Cheaper than the cost of a ticket and concessions.
I found a hair in my bowl at the chipotle down the street, so now I will never visit another chipotle location, nor any qdoba locations. Cheaper to make burrito bowls at home.
@@joeayres6648 True true, and you can add as many hairs to your bowl as you want at home.
Noel needs to make a jubilee video and cody should do weird dms vid
im just glad codys hair is back in style ahahah
Can we take a moment to appreciate their fits? They've been really good lately.
missed out on the “doot university” during the cold open.
Crypto aside, Cody have you ever been to a drive in? It’s the best part of a theater but with the privacy and space of your own car.
I wish we got a tmg show with skits and bits throughout episodes sorta Tim and Eric style.
I’m so weak at this intro 😭😭😭 Cody’s dripped out
I'm conflicted about the whole crypto situation. On one hand, I can't imagine how difficult it must be realising that everything you have is essentially gone. But also, no-one does their research on crypto. Most people wouldn't spend their life savings on Tesla or Apple shares, and yet people will do it for an unproven, unregulated cryptocurrency that has only been around for a few years. They don't deserve to have this happen, but also they made dumb financial decisions without doing any proper research or planning.
i think for some people it's sheer desperation, trying to find a miracle fix. But i agree throwing your life savings into something you haven't at all researched is a terrible idea :/
I agree, but I think what he said is important tho, the part of we seeing it everywhere. Everybody are promoting it, everywhere the news talk about how much money they make, damn even my friends are working on crypto companies and making money. When you see it on a Superbowl ad it makes it seem like a reasonable thing, so people trust. Turns out its the biggest scam in history.
I'm ngl.. I have no sympathy. They invested everything they had into a risky digital coin investment and they lost. I don't have any issue with people who invest in crypto, matter of a fact it's probably best that you do/did, but you have to be fucking stupid to put everything you have into it. You never do that no matter how "safe" the investment looks.
@@thomaschristensen9469 I feel the same way
@@thomaschristensen9469 yeah I'm kind of in the same boat. One of the first things you're taught in any high school economics class and just general life advice is diversification i.e. don't put all your eggs in one basket. I'm conflicted. I feel terrible for the normal people who fell for bullshit Larry David Matt Damon crypto ads, but what are you doing putting all of your money in one thing? Crypto or not.
These cold opens feel like two actors trying to get each other to break character
The saying goes "don't put all your eggs in one basket".
These intros are awesome!

Cody and Noel Do: The PGA Tour
the fault is on the founder of Luna, he copied the algorithm of another coin that was just a straight up rug pull it was always going to go to shit unfortunately. dude literally said there’s also a “doomsday protocol” which would instantly drop the value down to 0 at the flick of a switch tbh the worst part is people still defending this man after destroying so many livelihoods of utterly innocent people

Me about them sounds hilarious 😂😂
I'm with Cody, fuck theaters. Watching stuff at home on your nice comfy couch with no people around, you can pause whenever you want if you need to go get something to drink etc. Plus it doesn't smell or feel claustrophobic!
Why an audio podcast has so many visual only gags is so funny to me

What makes it better is that Noel doesn’t know the whole skit before hand hahaha

I mean, I want to believe that because it's funnier, but he obviously knew he'd be pretending to hit the hole in one, it would be edited, and then it would zoom out to show the ball in the hole.
