- HEY GUYS! I filmed this kip tutorial since a lot of you were asking for one! A kip is one of the hardest skills to learn in gymnastics and takes a lot of time and practice. I'm probably late to the party, but I've been struggling with the kip for months and just found your video now. I've watched many others but never really understood how it works, and yours is so well explained... I will try it with these tips and hopefully I'll get it this year!!

@@masha_feraoh my goodness, THANK YOU! It always seems to me that people just try for 3 weeks or so and get it. I got ao frustrated, but you trying for 2 years and eventually getting it keeps me motivated!
@@sannas9321 thank you!! I'm glad to hear that :) just do it in your own speed. It usually takes me long to learn a new skill. E.g. I needed a couple of years to learn pull ups and I'm still working on my back flip which I started practicing 6 years ago, despite a heavy knee injury. Meanwhile there are videos of people in UA-cam who learn it in one week 🤣 so don't get discouraged by this, enjoy the process instead 🙏🏼

do we have to be able to do some minimal amount of pull-ups to do this or this is only going about timing ? ( I can do 2-3 pull ups and some Muscle Up with resistance band (-/+ 15kg) Thank in advice :)

I can do my lips at gym in competitions but after the competition in my gym that I did in December I could do it nearly everytime so I’ll use your advice to be able to do it everytime !!!! Love you 😘🙏🏽💗💕
I know it is probably too basic, but any tips on doing a back pull over? I can do pull ups but I just can't get my hips up there
This is how I got my Kip A student was spotting me and I just easily got it

Courtney Usually the best way to do a pullover is with a chin up! There are beginner ways to run into one on a lower bar but best practice is to utilize a chin up

When doing knees to chest (you call them tuck ups), try to maintain hollow body position at the bottom. By doing this, you can avoid swinging and keep proper hip alignment.
I never tried, but I can do muscle ups. Is this easier or harder? 😅
