  • HEY GUYS! I filmed this kip tutorial since a lot of you were asking for one! A kip is one of the hardest skills to learn in gymnastics and takes a lot of time and practice.     I'm probably late to the party, but I've been struggling with the kip for months and just found your video now. I've watched many others but never really understood how it works, and yours is so well explained... I will try it with these tips and hopefully I'll get it this year!!

      @@masha_feraoh my goodness, THANK YOU! It always seems to me that people just try for 3 weeks or so and get it. I got ao frustrated, but you trying for 2 years and eventually getting it keeps me motivated!

      @@sannas9321 thank you!! I'm glad to hear that :) just do it in your own speed. It usually takes me long to learn a new skill. E.g. I needed a couple of years to learn pull ups and I'm still working on my back flip which I started practicing 6 years ago, despite a heavy knee injury. Meanwhile there are videos of people in UA-cam who learn it in one week 🤣 so don't get discouraged by this, enjoy the process instead 🙏🏼

    This is beautiful. I learned the kip as a 10 year old kid without any instruction and nothing better to do. Just lots of torn calluses. :)

    Hi Gina congratulations on your gymnastic skill can you do some tutorials on various skills on the bar such as shrimp catch,360 hop overs, standing on the bar,straddle step and spin over .Very much appreciated

    do we have to be able to do some minimal amount of pull-ups to do this or this is only going about timing ? ( I can do 2-3 pull ups and some Muscle Up with resistance band (-/+ 15kg) Thank in advice :)

    I can do my lips at gym in competitions but after the competition in my gym that I did in December I could do it nearly everytime so I’ll use your advice to be able to do it everytime !!!! Love you 😘🙏🏽💗💕

      Courtney Usually the best way to do a pullover is with a chin up! There are beginner ways to run into one on a lower bar but best practice is to utilize a chin up

    When doing knees to chest (you call them tuck ups), try to maintain hollow body position at the bottom. By doing this, you can avoid swinging and keep proper hip alignment.
