When I was a kid, I used to think about how those paintings were made when they appeared at a public transport (like on the Buses). I still can remember the name of the artist who created a painting of Laksmi Devi (i am incorrect, please make me correct) called 'Jothi'.
So i tried myself drawing them just as they did, on paper (since I am an Artist, it was not that hard at that time, though).
Anyway, i really feel happy about those hardworking artists.

I also grew up looking at Calendar images of this artist, they are very colourful and pretty to look at even though i was never a big fan of his way of painting faces, those small and narrow pinched noses he painted. I loved the art of Sapar Bros, they were my favourite "Calendar Artists" Iwished there was a video of them at work. I loved this video, it was so interesting seeing how the whole process came together. The goddess was painted beautiful but he spent too long painting that ugly lion thing, he should have painted a real lion, it would have looked better, anyway a great video and I hope and wish the artist all the best, and please try to post more like this.. THANKYOU..
Criticism has its limits. Many times is better to keep opinions to ourselves. That man most probably has raised his whole family with his talent.

That's not an ugly lion, we find all these faces of lion in almost all hindu temples, that's the sculpture style created by the ancestors, which he painted, otherwise he can easily paint a real Lion!
Every sculpture, paintings have their very own big reasons & history to work like that!
