    Thanks for sharing. I love seeing real families use their TT compared to a sales walk through. The only thing that concerns me is kids storage/ pantry space. I see that you use the space under the TV. One side for clothes and one side for pantry. We have 3 kids and they are a litle bit older. So obviously we have more and bigger clothes. And maybe more food. I'm just curious how the storage works out for your family so we can make a guess about our own. Thanks.

      We actually have plenty of room to spare really. As the kids get older they need less stuff, haha.

    Love how your kids play on the outside rug. Mine do the same thing, as it is more living area. However the worst part is when they leave a toy out, and you step on it at night.

    You may have mentioned this, what is your tow vehicle? I know it's an f-150, but what's it's Max tow and how do you find it?

    • @WanderingWeekends
      @WanderingWeekends  4 роки тому

      Chris organ we actually tow with an F250. In this vid we had a 6.2 liter gas truck but now I am in a 6.7 liter diesel. Honestly the diesel is overkill for our trailer and in hindsight not worth the extra money in this particular situation. I would recommend a 3/4 ton truck though. The stability a 3/4 ton truck provides is night and day vs a 1/2 ton. To find your towing capacity one would need to subtract your trucks curb weight from its gross combined vehicle weight rating (GCVWR). A bigger concern is payload and that is found on a yellow sticker inside your door jamb. I hope this is useful. Thanks for the question!

    • @Cbo575
      @Cbo575 4 роки тому

      @@WanderingWeekends thanks so much. We were looking at the 2800, but looking at the payload and combined GVWR of my 1500 Sierra, I think it would be best to get the 2400BH instead.

    You mentioned those screens a lot. Been thinking about putting those on our Keystone Passport.. lots of trouble with stink bugs up here in Oregon in the summer. Do they blow off when you are on the road or are they pretty locked in.
    Love your channel.. Keep it up! Great stuff

    Don't forget your water pressure regulator. You don't want a campground high water pressure to blast any seals or connectors.

    • @WanderingWeekends
      @WanderingWeekends  6 років тому

      cullinan18 no doubt. It’s the first thing hooked up at 5:14 in the vid. I keep it attached to our filter. Best $7 you can spend for a rig!

    • @cullinan18
      @cullinan18 6 років тому

      Wandering Weekends sorry, I must missed it. I thought I saw the filter directly hooked up to park faucet and didn't see the regulator. I'm now seriously looking at the Imagine 2400BH. How do you like universal docking station? I'm concerned about water drips and spray in the baggage compartment.

    • @WanderingWeekends
      @WanderingWeekends  6 років тому

      cullinan18 oh don’t apologize! We’re glad you’re watching. So far no drips or sprays in the storage compartment. Even if you had one it would drain out the bottom where the hose inserts through the floor. We love the Imagine so far. No complaints yet.

    Do you like your surge protector? I think I found the one you all have on Amazon. Also, what brand water filters did you all get? What all did you buy right away when purchasing your 2800 BH? We are new to RVing and pick ours up soon.

    • @WanderingWeekends
      @WanderingWeekends  6 років тому

      Crystal Ten great questions! Yes we like our surge protector and it actually saved us last trip out. It’s all you need. We use the CAMCO TastePure filters. They seem to work great. Never any funny smelling water. Here’s a link. Camco TastePURE Inline Water Filter, Greatly Reduces Bad Taste, Odors, Chlorine and Sediment in Drinking Water (2 Pack) (40045) www.amazon.com/dp/B0024E6V30/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_GEaQBbY48FS7X. We had a previous camper so we didn’t need anything really. We did buy the surge protector and upgraded our sewer hoses to the rhino line of hoses. Of course Brooke wanted to make the 2800 our own so we purchased new linens and a few little decorations. That’s likely a great video idea. Thanks for watching and commenting!!

      @@WanderingWeekends First off, really enjoying the channel. My wife and I are shopping for our first RV now; I'm hoping we'll find our deal in Tampa this year. ...About the surge protector... How did the surge protector work, did it trip like a breaker that you can reset or did you have to replace it? Was there a storm or just a random spike?

    Thank you for sharing this information about your camper! We have a family of 4 as well and are seriously looking at this model. Quick questions: what is your tow vehicle and what do you put in the bed of the truck? Thanks again!

    • @WanderingWeekends
      @WanderingWeekends  6 років тому

      Michael Overley great question! We started with a max tow package F150 but decided to move up to a gas Super Duty. Check out our vid on why we made that decision. ua-cam.com/video/XHv-6ka9zKk/v-deo.html thanks for watching and commenting!!

    • @WanderingWeekends
      @WanderingWeekends  6 років тому

      We generally put bicycles and firewood in the back of the truck. Possibly a genny one day but we always have power so that’s not a priority. Having a tonneau cover is nice as well but it limits us to only the kids bikes.

    • @Moverley33
      @Moverley33 6 років тому

      Wandering Weekends Thank you. I just watched your comparison video and appreciated the information that you shared. We currently have an F-150 Eco max tow (for towing vs. daily gas mileage balance) but I can appreciate the strengths of the 250 and that will be our tow vehicle upgrade in the future. New subscriber too - looking forward to following your adventures!
