So the gimmick this go around is actually to do with the stadium itself. If you look on the bits you can see essentially one part of a rip chord. That part latches onto the side of the stadium and just rips it around at an insane speed. It's super cool and honestly terrifying at first lmao
As long as you avoid the green x stadium bucket. It doesn't let the x dash gimic. When I was child I used to make a stadium by stretching a piece of stiff cloth over the top of a bowl or bucket loosely and securing it.
2:02 - there IS a gimmick, it’s in the name, X for “Xtreme” in which the Beyblades now have gears on the bottom portions to allow them to accelerate when they hit the edge of the new stadiums
Plus I believe they are trying to go for a competitive vibe with this one. I mean, the competitive side has always been there, but the X series before release in Japan mentioned being more focused as a sport. XD
@@rolfthebolfit does, it x=cross over all generation of beyblade including metal, burst, bakuten itself.. all of they speciality are combined then become beyblade x
Just came across this channel, and you just gained a sub! Beyblade has been a special part of my life ever since the metal saga, and I absolutely LOVE seeing people get into this franchise I highly recommend getting the stadium with the rail, since the lines in the bits make them accelerate faster in battle. Beyblade X so far has been a great generation, and some OG and Metal saga beyblades are going to be remade in X form for the 25th anniversary of the franchise!
It's so insanely funny watching someone who never played beyblade trying to explain what they understand about the game. Hope you're enjoying it man, you're hopping on board at the best time possible.
The gimmick is the fact that it's metal like the metal series, has bit beast inspired faces from the plastic series, and can burst like the burst series. And to top it off, it has gears on the tips that ride the edges of the whole stadium. That's a whole gimmick itself
Gotta say, the sound of metal clashing in a plastic bowl does take me back. We didn't have a stadium as kids and anything bowl or dish shaped is pretty much all we had for a stadium.
There was actually a system between Plastic and Metal Saga. The Hard Metal System took a lot from the originals design-wise but performed a lot more like its successor, with the upper section being made of metal. There were also some early releases in the Metal Saga that excluded the plastic wheel that I don’t recall ever being localized by Hasbro, nor were they ever featured in the anime.
Technically HMS was still Plastic Generation. It was introduced in G-Revolution which was the last season of the original series. The early Metal Saga wheels that didn't use a plastic layer were from the manga, and even there they were replaced pretty much right away.
For Beyblade, there is kind of a rock/paper/scissors mechanic with Defense (rock), Stamina (paper), and Attack (scissors). Then there's Balance types that are basically any multi type and their performance depends on how they incorporate those types. Arrow Wizard is a Stamina Type while Scythe Incendio is a Balance Type. Scythe specifically has a fairly aggressive Attack tip while also having a lighter Stamina wheel. So it has a slight edge over Arrow Wizard.
I'm really into these things right now, especially thanks to the new generation, and it's always cool to see someone who's videos I already watched trying them for the first time. Much love!
Funnily enough, I just got some new beys the other day to add to my collection I’ve had throughout the decade, so I’m glad to see someone experience their greatness for the very first time.
I had a Beyblade growing up, back before they were metal. Mine was cool looking but my brothers' almost always won. Also nice graphics for your Beyblade battles.
Not to try and sound nitpicky, just trynna help with some context, but here are some footnotes I got from watching the video: -The Metal Fury series was the 3rd (technically 4th) series of the overarching Metal Fight series. It started with Pre-hybrid Wheels which were exclusive to Takara Tomy (the Japanese Beyblades), then we moved onto Metal Fusion, then Metal Masters, and finally, Metal Fury. There was also the Shogun Steel series, which was a sort of half-evolution/half-successor, but were still compatible with the previous Metal Fight generations. -The "monster" on the Blades for Beyblade X are called Gear Chips, also sometimes known as Gear Bits. -The proper name for each bey in Beyblade X ignores the part names. They're simply on the front of the box to let you know at face value which parts the bey comes with. -The names for the Hasbro versions of Beyblade X products are different compared to the Takara Tomy (Japanese) releases. For instance, Scythe Incendio, in Takara Tomy lingo, is called Hells Scythe, and Arrow Wizard is called Wizard Arrow. Hasbro is essentially swapping the words around and changing any words they might deem as insensitive. -The launchers that came with Scythe Incendio and Arrow Wizard are pretty weak compared to the string launchers and winder launchers, with the winder launchers being the most powerful for now. -The grooves on each bit are intended to be used with the default stadium, allowing the Beyblades to perform what is known as an Xtreme Dash, when colliding with the Xtreme line. In addition, the Xtreme battle set that Hasbro provides contains this type of stadium, but note that it is slightly narrower than Takara Tomy's standard stadium, by a couple of centimetres. -Scythe Incendio is a balance-type Beyblade, and Arrow Wizard is a stamina-type Beyblade. There are also attack and defence types, and the usual rock-paper-scissors system takes this into account. Specifically, Attack > Stamina > Defence > Attack, etc. Balance is intended, as the name implies, to be a user of all, master of none. Hope this helps! It'll be cool to see you evolve into an expert akin to the likes of Zankye. And as a bonus note, 9:12 You'll be happy to know that Hasbro released some Beyblade X beys that cross over with Transformers, which use modified versions of some of the default beys.
I love how the title and video is about Beyblade X, but the thumbnail has Storm Pegasus from Metal Fight in it (And yes, I'm aware that there will be a Storm Pegasus in the XOver line).
Btw yes they do have gimmicks. They require a special stadium for Xtreme Dashes. Takara Tomy makes the originals and the real names for them are HellsScythe 4-60 Taper And WizardArrow 4-80 Ball
X's gimmick is the "X-treem Dash" mechanic. Basically the tips have gear spokes, and so does the outer ring of the arena. Beyblades can ride the rail, and that will have them speed up and get launched toward the center of the arena. Opposite of this is a huge pocket that is worth the most points...like three I think? It's fun because if you knock your opponent into it with an X-treem Dash, you've basically won. But it's a risky move because you've lost if you miss and launch yourself into the same pocket. Some beys, like Dran Dagger, are designed to spam Dashes.
As for the naming. It usually goes Blade name. For Scythe Incindio, that's the part that's going to be hitting the most. Breaking it down further, the "Incindio" line currently has three iterations so the next two will be "Chain Incindio" and "Hammer incindio". Ratchet name. The first number, 4, is how many contact points it has. I think the highest number of points right now is 9. The second number, 60, is it's height. Currently ratchets come in 60, 70, and 80 height...I THINK it's mm, but don't quote me on that. T is the shortened version of the Tip name. For that beyblade, it should be "Taper", which has a flat tip and (as you probably guessed) a Tapered edge. It's a pretty good tip, in my opinion.
yeah the designs are pretty cool. The one I have is "Keel Shark 3-30 LF". It's got a whole gimmick of sloping blades that are supposed to launch opponents when combined with its low height... But honestly it's a spinning top with sharks on the blade. I've been calling it "Sharknado".
No in Beyblade X there is a gimmick and it doesn’t look there is any but believe me with the Stadium the battles will be of another level. The most fun battles you will ever have
Ok so part rundown. The blade is what makes contact with your opponents beyblade and causes the point wins. The ratchet determines height and the amount of points determine the burst chances so the less points of contact the better. Then the bit has 2 purposes being the thing that makes contact with the stadium and the x-line or X-cellorater rail
The stats more so play into the rock paper scissors of the game ! Defense beats attack, attack beats stamina (like what happened here), and stamina beats defense and of course there are exceptions but for the most part that's how the stats play into the game !
Welcome to the Beyblade community, my friend! BeybladeX started in Japan about a year ago and now they’re being released worldwide including America which had already been released.
Theres a gimmick for X. Highly recommend getting the X Stadium. What happens is the tip hits the gears on the stadium and they get an Xtreme boost of speed which hits beys in the center HARD! also Scythe Incendio's name from the Takara Tomy line is Hell's Chain. And I very highly recommend checking out the Metal and burst anime if you haven't watched em.
I'm sure I'm not the first to say it but I totally recommend the Winder Launcher that you buy separately. Much more powerful. And if you don't get the official stadium. I recommend a round sled. You may have to order that if your area doesnt have snow or water play accessories.
Beyblade x If it has a system at the tip, it has a gear that makes it propel itself at super speed when it hits the stadium rails, giving strong impacts.
Since the gen 1 which was really great I've only played with a few others, but the gen 1 you could take apart even further to customise them even more.
Battling X beys in a glass bowl, the courage of this man, good thing these proto launchers are weaker than the winder and string launcher or that thing would have been nuked in the first round
X kinda feels like specifically a reboot of the Metal generation. That wrapped up back in '12, so it makes sence that TT/Hasbro are taking another wack at in in '23/'24.
The yellow beyblade(wizard arrow) is a stamina type. Stamina types are weak to attack, and some balance beyblades like the one your girlfriend was using, which is why you lost. If the battles were in the actual bey stadium, it would've been more of a 60% win rate for the red beyblade(Hells Scythe)
It’s gone pretty far in just a year already they remade Dragoon from Beyblade ORIGINAL series when Tyson owned Dragoon, it’s also the FIRST left spin bey of this generation and comes with a left spin string launcher that’s blue You should get it!
I just got into beyblade x and the first 2 I got were wizard arrow and hell scythe just like you. I swapped the ratchets to make wizard even better. Excited to get more beys
They both come from the "children's game that summon monsters" genre. Plus the most recent Bakugan has some that have ripcords and spin like Beyblades.
I recommend getting the stadium set, along with getting better launchers than the little ones you got from Scythe Incendio and Arrow Wizard, Speaking of The bits names are, T for Taper and B for Ball
2:58 You don't need to say the Parts at the end. That's just so you know what combination it is. It's like how you don't need to say "Pikachu Electric Type" every time, you just need to say Pikachu.
If you want to keep buying you should know there are big launchers which have twice the power compared to the small ones that come in the pack. Big launchers are 8$ and there is a bey Soar Phoneix which comes with a big launcher.
After getting a stadium eother pick up soar phoenix cause it comes with a string launcher or spend the extra money for the better winder launcher. I'm telling you those basic light launchers are a pain to use lol
I had one forever ago. It was original and the ring snapped. Guessing that’s why they went to metal. I loved it though. One Christmas we got a station but before that we use to have a kid church thing and we’d battle in a lil plastic cart lol. Never watch the show though and only had the one.
First off, welcome to the world of Beyblade. Second, As far as the series goes it's Beyblade, Beyblade V-Force, Beyblade G Revolution, Beyblade Metal Fusion, Beyblade Metal Masters, Beyblade Metal Fury, Beyblade Shogun Steel, Beyblade Burst, Beyblade Burst Evolution, Beyblade Burst Turbo, Beyblade Burst Rise, Beyblade Burst Surge, Beyblade Burst Quaddrive, and finally Beyblade Burst Quadstrike. That's not counting spin-offs. This is in order to the best of my knowledge. Oh and if you think battling in the punch bowl was fun. Just wait until the stadium. The stadium will make those seem like baby taps.
I remember seeing random beyblade tournaments happening behind my school….for some reason I think my school banned beyblades so we had a little fight club I guess Oh yeah, FYI, I’m just commenting on the beyblades and I actually never got into it….yep I’m screwed. Damn because me we had all beyblade metal and burst our day care literally had to make a day when you can use them it was that much also you need to get the x dash stadiums makes it much more cooler
As someone who was introduced to Beyblade all the way back in 2000, Burst was a ton of fun! I think a lot of Metal Saga fans never gave it a fair chance, and some of them even just completely missed the point.
Glad you had fun with beyblade x. The toys are better than they've been for a while. I'm excited to see how you'll react to the crazy battles that happen in the stadium. For some friendly advice, get the black stadium set that comes with 2 beyblades. The alternative cheaper green bucket stadium you can buy on it's own is basically a safety hazard. Edit: I just realized that I've seen some of your transformers videos before. Subscribed now and excited to see what's to come.
The Burst Pro Series toys were excellent - basically just the Japanese versions in English packaging. The average weight of the later ones was even heavier than the heaviest Mega Saga Beyblades.
@@OtakuUnitedStudio Pro series was quite expensive and made of a cheaper material than the Takara Tomy ones, resulting in easier breakage. These X beys are exactly the same as Takara Tomy and keep a lower price point like the regular releases of burst. I had a lot of fun during Burst, but I'm glad that we're moving on to X.
@@gwynn5510 That was only true for the first couple of waves. And it only really affected the ratchet teeth on the Attack Layer, making them easier to burst over time. Later ones, and later issues of the earlier ones, fixed the material issue. It wasn't that the material was cheaper, just that it was made to different specifications. Most of the plastic used in Beyblade is either ABS or POM, but it's not always exactly the same and has little to do with cost. I have had the same issue with 3D printing where two brands selling the same grade of filament will sometimes have slightly different properties because the manufacturers use slightly different standards. As for the price, they were better made than the normal ones and were actually basically in line with how much the Japanese ones cost to begin with. You get what you pay for.
@@OtakuUnitedStudio I didn't say that burst was horrible, just that X is better. Getting the exact same thing for normal retail prices is amazing. I grew up with burst and loved it until later on, where it was becoming very apparent how there was a decline in quality. By the end of Surge I fell out completely, until X was starting it's pre release in Japan. I heard rumors that we would get the same things as Japan and I got hyped, so I waited for X. Edit: Opinions are opinions. Don't get too heated trying to prove a point that the other person probably won't ever agree with.
@@gwynn5510 I'm usually the guy who has to remind others "opinions are opinions" so I appreciate that you said that. I have found that a lot of the argument around Beyblade in general and Burst in specific (especially in comparison to Metal Saga) is misinformed or at the very least extremely biased. I've seen far too many people make the claim that Metal Fusion was the original series, which it obviously is not. I don't want to get heated, I just want the other person to at least have all the information even if they stand by what they think. And I fully agree that X IS better. The design and materials were very well thought out to be able to sell them at the same price as Hasbro Burst but without having to cut corners this time around.
When burst started they were maybe 10-15 grams at most compared to metal series averaging at 30-40. When burst ended they were maxing out at *70-80 grams* and were downright massive like it’s wild.
@@HeyItsFreeman427 I remember in Metal Saga when some players argued that over 60 grams (in the Shogun Steel line) was _too heavy._ It's kind of funny to me how that wasn't really even true. But then, a lot of theoretical claims were taken at face value without testing back then.

The ratchet determines the durability and agility of the bey, more points make it a bit less aggressive each gained point makes the beyblade more passive. For example notice how scythe won almost every time by burst or flying K/O? It’s due to its blade shape and T the Tapered bit is INSANE its balance as the name entails, but the 4 side ratchets are honestly terrible they have too many judding points that cause it to have a high K/O% and since they both had 4 it was down to the blade and blader’s skill

it’s essential to get a takara tomy beyblade x stadium. you can get one from beyblade premier.
don’t get the shitty green box stadium. it’s rlly bad
Whats funny is the red one is the balance type
The ratchet goves the bey additional weight and is what allows the bey to burst.
It's also how the Blade and Bit are attached to each other.
Ah, watching you play in a bowl brings back childhood nostalgia. Also, the scythe blade is top tier, wizard is like c tier
It's type advantage. Arrow Wizard is Stamina while Scythe Incendio is Balance type leaning towards Attack. Attack is usually strong against Stamina.
@@OtakuUnitedStudio types don't matter in x trust me. For example defense types never beat anyone in x, let alone attack types .
@@GyopiDaFish I have certainly not had that experience at all. My first match with a friend was Helm Knight v Dagger Dran and Helm Knight won.
Welcome to the world of Beyblade X 🎉
I had one forever ago. It was original and the ring snapped. Guessing that’s why they went to metal. I loved it though. One Christmas we got a station but before that we use to have a kid church thing and we’d battle in a lil plastic cart lol. Never watch the show though and only had the one.
zero g stadium at home
Beyblade x has upgraded versions of the original Beyblade, generation one.
They rattle because the bits free spin underneath the top
I remember seeing random beyblade tournaments happening behind my school….for some reason I think my school banned beyblades so we had a little fight club I guess
Oh yeah, FYI, I’m just commenting on the beyblades and I actually never got into it….yep I’m screwed.

Welcome to the community
Welcome to the hobby! Make sure to not put your face towards the stadium or suffer the consequences🙃
And the metal ones will teach you that lesson even harder than the plastic ones.
Scythe incendio is called hell scythe😭
Damn because me we had all beyblade metal and burst our day care literally had to make a day when you can use them it was that much also you need to get the x dash stadiums makes it much more cooler
I only had beyblade burst
As someone who was introduced to Beyblade all the way back in 2000, Burst was a ton of fun! I think a lot of Metal Saga fans never gave it a fair chance, and some of them even just completely missed the point.
The Gimmik is the cool new arena 👍
Second Beyblade X review video?

awesomeee hells sythce is such a good starter bey
Yes get a stadium. The hasbro stadium is good to have as a starter (not the green bucket stadium) but go it makes the game fun.
Get some Takara Tomy Beyblades and definitely get a TT stadium
New Avatar. Not Bad, but the old one looked more Like a dumb jack❤
Wait a minute he lives in Kentucky? I live in Kentucky
Can you make the Jake avatar look dumber?
you think they hit hard now, wait till you get a real launcher, those little entry launchers are a fraction of the speed they play at in tournaments 😂
Let me give you the real names of the beyblades you got
Hells scythe and wizard arrow
bro japanese beyblades in the burst era were so heavy and durable being able to burst was considered bad design
When burst started they were maybe 10-15 grams at most compared to metal series averaging at 30-40. When burst ended they were maxing out at *70-80 grams* and were downright massive like it’s wild.
@@HeyItsFreeman427they looked like fat golden hockey pucks and barely fit in the KO zones 😭😭
@@HeyItsFreeman427 I remember in Metal Saga when some players argued that over 60 grams (in the Shogun Steel line) was _too heavy._
It's kind of funny to me how that wasn't really even true. But then, a lot of theoretical claims were taken at face value without testing back then.
Your new profile is cute ❤😊
Poor guy doesnt havr a stadium yet

The ratchet determines the durability and agility of the bey, more points make it a bit less aggressive each gained point makes the beyblade more passive.
For example notice how scythe won almost every time by burst or flying K/O? It’s due to its blade shape and T the Tapered bit is INSANE its balance as the name entails, but the 4 side ratchets are honestly terrible they have too many judding points that cause it to have a high K/O% and since they both had 4 it was down to the blade and blader’s skill
