These films, unnarrated and all,are absolute gems,Iwo,Peleliu, were crazy meat grinders.Thank you for these, hopefully you have more. Okinawa would be cool, thats where my dad went!
Always a balancing act when building a video some people like the background music others do not. This video the background music is very quiet. Thanks for watching the video.
My late grand uncle fought at Peleliu, Biak, the Philipines and later in the Korean War in an army Sherman. Can't help but wonder if any of these tanks might have him in it. Thanks for posting.
My ac stopped blowing cold 2 days ago. In the August Texas heat and humidity is killer. It was over 100 degrees on Pelelu most of the time and i couldn't imagine being in a metal box.
I think your sound track provides just the right amount of tension without being overly down…..unless there was actual sound track the very would still be great but lacking something.
Thanks for watching the video and making a comment. I will be posting more from the National Archives. Heading to Peleliu in 7 days for the 80th, I will post video of the trip when I get back.
Thanks for watching the video. The video is on Peleliu, the first section is the attack on the Horseshoe, next is the airfield and the remaining is areas around Peleliu.. Again thanks for watching, I hope you have had a chance to watch some of our other videos.
First time I saw the film I was thinking drone also since I use one when out filming but it was 1944 so taking a very close look it is birds flying around that area. Thanks for watching the video.
We won't even talk about JD- that guy has become a walking cartoon. But here's some interesting reading on the Trump family- Trump received four educational deferments. After he graduated, he was classified 1A (fit and able to serve), then 1Y (temporary physical deferment), and finally 4F (permanent physical deferment), all due to (alleged) bone spurs in his feet. Fortunately, this condition does not affect his ability to play golf today. However, it is rumored that the daughter of Trump’s deceased podiatrist said it was “family lore” that her father helped President Trump avoid the draft. It is also rumored that Trump acknowledged to advisers that he concocted this fake injury to avoid military service, because he “wasn’t going to Vietnam.” Some might call this draft dodging. It seems that this lack (or avoidance) of military service is not unique to Donald Trump. For three generations, Trump’s paternal line has neither offered nor performed any military service, voluntarily or through the draft. They all chose not to contribute their services to the U.S. military, the most patriotic and honorable manner in which to display one's patriotism and love of country. In Donald Trump’s case, he was uniquely qualified to serve his country, having graduated in 1964 from the New York Military Academy, where he was an officer in an officially established ROTC program. From the date of the birth of Donald Trump’s grandfather in 1869 to the birth of Tristan Miles Trump in 2011, we see zero military service. This also includes: Frederick Trump (1869-1918); Henry Trump (1899-1900); Fred Christ Trump Sr. (1905-1999); John George Trump (1907-1985); Fred Christ Trump Jr. (1938-1981); Donald J. Trump (1946 to present); Robert Trump (1948-present); John Gordon Trump (1938-2012); Fred Trump III (1962-present); Donald John Trump Jr. (1977-present); Eric Frederick Trump (1984-present); Barron William Trump (2006-present); Christopher Trump (1995-present); William Trump (1999-present). There are 6 other below-age-18 Trump males- one doubts any of them will volunteer either. This list covers 147 years of Donald Trump’s direct male ancestors and successors who have lived in America during these 147 years. And during these same 147-year span the following military conflicts occurred: Spanish American War (1898); Philippine Insurrection (1899-1902); Boxer Rebellion (1899-1901); occupation of the Dominican Republic (1916-1924); World War I (1914-1918); World War II (1939-1945); Korean War (1950-1953); Vietnam War (1968-1975); invasion of Grenada (1983); invasion of Panama (1989-1991); Gulf War (1990-1991); Bosnian War (1992-1995); Kosovo War (1998-1999); Afghanistan War (2001-2014); and the Iraq War (2003-2014). During these years, tens of millions of American citizens served our country as members of our armed services. Countless thousands died. No Trumps are to be found within this group. This is most unusual. I challenge readers to review their own family history in America since 1870 and not find a single veteran or serviceman.

@@SFRProductions Personal preference I suppose, and painless to address on my end. Glad you are posting these.

Were those tanks with white stars all Army’s? Or did the corps’ have the stars too?
Thanks for watching the video and making a comment. Tanks with the large white stars were US Army tanks
Surreal.
Is this what Pelelu looks like? Okinawa or N. Luzon?
Thanks for watching the video. The video is on Peleliu, the first section is the attack on the Horseshoe, next is the airfield and the remaining is areas around Peleliu.. Again thanks for watching, I hope you have had a chance to watch some of our other videos.
@SFRProductions Thanks for covering this and setting me straight. Regardless a chilling campaign. Thanks!
How hot was it inside these tanks?
I think air-conditioning was an optional extra......
i see the white things flying and for a moment i think 'drones'.
😊 what were they 'birds'? Or paper from the shell wrappings? Please let me know sir if you know. Thank you and have a good day and a better tomorrow.

Yes, correct.
He would be the one on the front, leading the troops.
