I get that the way he said it came off as ignorant, and they kind of just cut him and laughed without him finishing, but he obviously means that this type of gatekeeping seems hypocritical compared to how black people have been excluded before. Of course, the comparison is extreme, but the core principle remains. The basketball example wasn't the best. Should black people be gatekept from classical oil painting because they weren't integral in it's creation or original usage and doesn't play a historical significance in their history and culture? White people have been in Europe for tens of thousands of years, built their countries and traditions, settled their lands first before anyone else; should they then have the right to exclude black people because they "didn't build" Europe or weren't involved in its inception and cultural traditions? By Mouses own definition, black people are just mere guests and tourists in Europe and don't truly belong; would he feel okay with Europeans telling him this, or would he fight for freedom and openness?
this whole quote "black people can't be racist" is upsetting... what they MEAN TO SAY... is Black people (on average) can't ACT on their racism... because to ACT on your racism it requires power... However, Black people CAN be racist..anyone CAN be racist because to be racist is to look at someone and judge them based on their race and treat them differently.. If you're going to try and change definitions and change words you need to keep that shit 100 across the board... By saying white people only can be racist, but when Black people (or someone other than white) can only be prejudice its misleading...because the word RACIST has earned a very ugly stigma (as it should 10000%) but being prejudice is not as ugly.... so if a black person looks at a white person in the same disgusting way as a racist white person looks at a black person and you call the white man racist but the black man prejudice it makes it seem like 1 is worse than the other...its not... Judging ANYONE or treating ANYONE based on the color of their skin is wrong..

If racism is systematic, you have to evaluate “power” from that standpoint. So no black people cannot be racist, only prejudice. There have been many studies from credited professors and philosophers both black and white analyzing why the dictionary definition is not entirely full or accurate. Ask yourselves the question, if White America is able to teach us false information about history, what else could they lie about? The textbook industry is a business/institution in itself, which is why standardized testing affects lower income neighborhoods.
If Em was black, you absolutely would know who he is because he wouldn't have endured all that racism who despite being WELL above the threshhold of a great rapper, was overlooked and put down the entire time he was coming up until he got Dr. Dre's attention. He had to be twice as better than everyone else just because of the color of his skin. I'm fucking tired of these ignorant opinions being so highlighted when the majority of people in hip hop see the truth.

The Oxford Dictionary defines it as, "Prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on the belief that one's own race is superior."
They tried to weasel out of it by bringing in economics lol. The definition is there for a reason. Black people can and have been racist. Someone from every race has been racist towards another, it exists and will always exist. Case in point, Mouse.
They tried to make up their own definition of the word ...shits crazy bro ...I'm so glad I'm a mixed 43 yr old I grew up dealing with all this crap
Because our history gives us a right to feel a way about white ppl while whites just hate us for being black

@mouse Jones Twitter 😁
People that belong in REAL hip hop: Rakim, KRS One, Tupac, Eminem, Jay-Z, 50 Cent.
People that belong in IGNORANT hip hop : Mouse . Never heard of this Mouse dude, He claims to be hip hop but to me he just sounds like he is more of a trip hop dude. This dude acts like his words are the law but his arguments are easily to debunk. To crush this dudes silly arguments I will only say this: Everybody that loves hip hop knows were it came from. Everybody knows that hip hop is global and thus for everyone to see and to like. Everyone that knows hip hop knows that there are black people that are going to hate that a white rapper could be considered the best rapper ever. Claiming that he just takes space from black rappers while in these times with all the social media avaiable you could easily gain some succes IF YOU HAVE SOMETHING THAT IS HOT. Mouse is NOT hip hop. He just a dude with some limited knowledgement and a high ego that thinks his thoughts are the truth. Mouse, just open your third eye and do not be an ignorant know-it-all.
I wonder what Mouse thinks of Fat Joe...
He’s taking up space too
These conversations are twisted af, there are things created by other race and blacks are taking space (as per their language) but I think if u have talent and respect u can choose any art u want. Take all of that u got a broken community. Far as mouse goes he is a clown, dude said he do research and speaks straight subjective trash
Mouse is a racist and another pissed off rapper who never made it.
Who tf is mouse ?
If Em was black, you absolutely would know who he is because he wouldn't have endured all that racism who despite being WELL above the threshhold of a great rapper, was overlooked and put down the entire time he was coming up until he got Dr. Dre's attention. He had to be twice as better than everyone else just because of the color of his skin. I'm fucking tired of these ignorant opinions being so highlighted when the majority of people in hip hop see the truth.
Who the fuck is mouse?
One of the first Hip Hop music video: - The Sugar hill Gang- - Rappers Delight . They put white women in it . How is that fighting white supremacy lol
the ignorance in this chat is crazy. Page is absolutely right.
Daaaaamn! I'm feeling it
I'm confused, does anyone look at sports today? I feel like the majority is black so that's not relevant today. Yes years ago I'll agree to that but not today, it's 2021 correct culture has been here.
So surely if you have a problem with Eminem being in the culture, then shouldn't you take umbrage with Dr Dre for giving him said space in the culture? and those who brought in The Beastie Boys, MC Serch, Lil Dickie etc.

Hip Hop is something you live. If you understand where it came from, the conditions that created it, and you practice the discipline, YOU ARE HIP HOP. However, Racism- White Supremacy pollutes all major institutions including the music industry. You can’t be Hip Hop and ignore that.
" Because they're validating something"
Hit the nail right on the head. Co-signers is one of the greatest tactic to use when trying to infiltrate. That person that has credibility and trust, will walk you through the front door and put you in front of people that the loyal days one have yet to see.
We've seen this in war movies all the time, yet people want to pretend that it's not practice in other areas of War.
This is why Marshall fans are so stressed out, when MCs don't speak highly of him. The more co-signers the more acceptance, and power. This is why they name drop legends so fast when people of the culture deny Marshall.
They can't name drop an album, because the whole point of denying him, is due to his music, and its content. So they name drop established legends, and act like they are fans of his music, when they really just fuck with his rapping skills specifically. I've never heard any legend name drop an Marshall album on their list, or even said they like his albums. Its always the same thing WE ALL SAY....we rock with his rapping ability, but can't get behind his whack music.
Prove me wrong.
To each there own
11:10 said it all niggas mad cause Em became better than most of the black rappers in the game cause he's white... Everthing he saying is wrong he just reaching for that race card if white rappers had it so easy in tha game why is Eminem the biggest white rapper out wouldnt their be more
Mouse may not be racist but he sure as fuck is prejudice
