I am always fighting tears when I sing this song in church, but I never knew your story. I lost my wife to cancer in July of 2011. She was only 39. I always think about this when I sing this song . God was faithful to me and comforted me during my pain. He didn't remove it, but he held me close. I relate to you in that the best thing to do in our times of pain is worship God in song, prayer, and service. This song will be a little more meaningful after hearing your testimony. Thank you for sharing. Death is a lie. We live forever, thanks to Jesus. That is worth singing about!!!

Jill, thank you for being real and honest. though i may never meet you, i thank God for allowing your story to encourage me as i go through my own difficult time.
I always watched the DVD recording of This Is Our God and never knew that Jill was singing in the midst of brokenness. The devil was shamed that night! God bless you both Jill & Brooke!
I had my daughter at 24 weeks, after 14 horrifying months in the hospital she came home. One thing I learned through all of heartache, pain, fear, and grief I endured during that time. Is when you feel the least like praising God, that is the time you most need to praise him. Give your situation, your problems to him and praise him trusting that no matter what the answer is from God, its going to be the right answer for you.
This song got me through so much last year - my father's death, my car being stolen two months later and my new car being totalled two months after that. These words helped me realise that in every single situation: God is unchanged and unmoved by circumstance. He is steadfast in His love and faithfulness toward us; and worthy to be praised despite what I happen to be going through. He is God and He is good, from everlthasting to everlasting His faithfulness endures.
Jill's testimony touched many! God bless her more.

This song is so dear to me. I was going through a really tough heartbreak and transitioning period in my life, and it's through this song that God slowly started to heal me and I eventually found my joy again. Thank you Hillsong for your never ending relentless love for God and for reaching a generation that is so broken and in need of God's love.

After just having a miscarriage,I have been singing this song all week. It has been my hearts cry and declaration. A friend just shared this back story with me. It makes this song even closer to my heart. Thank you Jill for persevering and praising God. Your praise and faith has made way for mine in times like this.

My dear sweet friends, you have touched a place deep in my heart and I hardly know what to say. You are so precious and I know that God is so pleased with your sacrifice of praise when your heart is breaking! I just heard this song for the first time in church and I wept my heart out. This is exactly where God has me right now in my walk to praise Him, even though my heart is broken, We lost our first baby, a son, during labor this spring. Choosing to worship in grief does something to your soul
Courage is not courage unless it stands in the face of fear. Very courageous what she did. It is stories like this that touch people so deeply and heal those hurts. God is so amazingly good....all the time.

I am in this situation wherein, I don't understand what is happening in my life and what His plans are, and in the midst of these, I have to play music for Him tomorrow... I don't feel like playing music for Him but I know that He has placed me here and He is still God no matter what happens. I will trust in Him...

Honestly,I'm at a point where it ain't easy but I thank God ,He always meets us at our weakest.
Im not bashing other religions because many of them do have great preaching BUT you can never feel so loved so in the arms of comfort as to when you are praising God. its as if at the exact moment God just grabs your hand and you know he's is there with you through the thick and heavy parts of your life and to me that is why i know my God is there for me and why i believe that Christianity is the only true religion because you can just feel his presence when Christians can come together and praise God.

I really felt to share it: I am a rainbow baby, my cousin's first born is a rainbow baby... So whoever faces these things, loosing their first, no other child replaces that lost baby. So what I am trying to say, that the next baby usually makes it though. For whoever needed to read this.

At first I really love this song and I don't know why I just like the ambiance and worship they created and hearing from the testimony of Sis. Jill I was so moved and feel that In this world whenever circumstances we are in, we are not alone. God is here he sees us in every situation we are dealing with as of now I'm undergoing some circumstances but I know God will never forsake me nor leave me because, He has the answer to all our needs and I believe. She went into labor in her sixth month of pregnancy and her baby, MAx, died. She was told she could "skip" the recording of this album but she took the chance to praise God through all she was enduring, she found her reason to praise even if she was hurting. Could you please tell me what language do you speak? maybe I could help you... English is not my first language either.
