In Armenia, the inside of the pumpkin is stuffed with boiled rice, dried fruit, nuts, and honey for a dish called Ghapama. South African pampoenkoekies are tiny pumpkin fritters made with cinnamon and nutmeg. Here's how pumpkin is prepared in 13 countries around the world.

No actually India made curry with pumpkin chiken with pumpkin is my fav with roti . Also pumkin fry like french fries and many more. It's just half video.
In Malaysia, we steamed whole pumpkin with coconut milk and palm sugar with pandan leaves. Its aromatic, sweet, creamy, chewy & tasty 😋
I need the recipe. In South Africa we make Pumpkin cookies
Woow just like here in Zanzibar Tanzania 😍😍, but we boil it after cutting it in pieces then we take out the hot water put a coconut milk, sugar and add chopped cardamon
That would be so delicious! But it will be soft lol, not 'chewy'!

In Italy pumpkin is used as a filling in a few ravioli (dumplings) recipes, expecially in the North. Pumpkin is bashed, added to cheese (sometimes mashed potatoes), sweet mustard, nutmed and after boiling they are sautèed with butter, cheese and sage, or crushed "amaretti".
This feels like it's a part of an after Thanksgiving meal. Sounds tasty!
@@gavind351 It IS! A little surprising, for those who doesn't associate pasta with sweet flavour; first time I tasted them, "Tortelli alla Mantovana" really surprised me: I thought they were fit for a dessert, not the main course!

Moral of the story: Please dont buy a pumpkin just for Halloween doorstep decoration. 🙂
Those pumpkins are purposely grown for decorating
Decoration pumpkins don't actually taste good.
Our pumpkins from Halloween decorations are eaten by some very happy squirrels and our chickens. No waste. I see completely good pumpkins being tossed. We waste so much food in the States. Some farmer would be happy to get them, because most livestock will eat them.
Yes😭
so we have to eat them because others do?
It's regional in my country so few people knows it but we make pumpkin börek (börek is a big layered pastry with filling also as a layer) you just put pastry layers, then shredded pumpkin, sugar, cinnamon and hazelnuts/walnuts and then pastry layers again. It's one of the most delicious thing I've ever had in my life if not the most. My grandmother used to make this all the time when she was alive. Greetings from the Black Sea Region of Turkey
