I’ve had those Rubbermaid for years. They all spider crack if you use the microwave. I got 6 replacements for free which was nice but now they are all cracked too. How does plastic crack like that?
Pyrex has a great reputation for quality, as far as the glass goes. Having to replace a lid after 2-3 years, is not a deal breaker. It also depends on whether you hand wash the lids or use a dishwasher. Hand washing the lids extends their life far longer.
Rubbermaid Containers are Awesome!! I really only use rectangular storage containers because they take up less room in the refrigerator. With that being said, Rubbermaid makes the only containers that are 1 gallon, that I have been able to find. There also rectangular shape like the glass Pyrex you viewed on here. The more expensive rectangular Rubbermaid containers and lids are phenomenal!! Haven’t been able to destroy or crack one yet 😂. I have always put them in the dishwasher with heat drying, not to leave out- the microwave oven which is set to it’s highest heat power level #10. Nothing has destroyed these bad boys yet!! Just to be clear, I’m not talking about the Rubbermaid take-alongs container’s either. Not being glass, they are “SO MUCH LIGHTER!” Especially when they’re filled with a gallon of gumbo. 🤣. Should be mentioned, that they don’t scratch my refrigerators glass shelving like the glass Pyrex containers do. And all Rubbermaid containers won’t shatter either like glass containers will! Just a warning, those plastic Pyrex click down tops will soon crack and break off, rendering their glass bottoms useless!! 😳🤓✌🏻

Wrong! If you read they say microwaveable bowl and lid
Can confirm that Pyrex lids will crack around the edge.

My Pyrex lids have never cracked. I love my pyrex storage containers. I especially like that the lids don't have the flip down seals. Hate those.
Thanks for the video
The RM sealed lids sell the product for me
'Promo sm' 😍
