I can't see clouds, mountains, or trees anymore without thinking about how Bob would paint them. I suppose that probably means I should try to do some myself. I think I'll get crazy.

I was only like 8 or 9 years old when I started watching his paintings very fun and interesting Now after a long day at work a hot shower and just before bed 30 minutes with him and a painting you’ll drift off into the canvas dreaming you in one of his pieces.
Not that it's any less amazing, but this is the third time he does this same painting. He would always do 3. The first one to figure out the composition. Then when he was happy with that he would paint it again to test for the length (so it would fit in the episode). And then he'd do it on camera.
Minor correction: one of the paintings (i believe the second) was done for the books he sold, giving step by step instructions on the painting/techniques.
lmao I always wondered the same thing...who the HELL keeps giving all these videos a thumbs down?!?!? It's usually between 10 and 20 as well each video. Even if you don't appreciate the painting techniques and styles, it still turns out great at the end and he is the most friendly, relaxing, happy person I have ever encountered in my entire life and makes me feel better about humanity any time I feel that there are no good people left in the world. I'd be willing to bet that the people giving all these thumbs down ratings are all fans of the lame types of modern art; hipsters with long pony tailed beards, man buns deep-V undershirts and tight yoga pants who think amazing art is something like throwing red paint at a 10ftx30ft canvas with a green square in the top corner or something like that....you know the ones that look like a 3 year old swallowed all the paint and threw up on it while someone spun the canvas around on the floor and are somehow selling for $3 million?
you must be a liberal...a conservative moves on from what they don't like to something they do...I think bob ross is amazing...i've painted beautiful paintings and made some good money off of what i've learned from him...

For some reason I never liked the way the ocean scenes turn out. They just don't look right to me. They are great just not for me. I love the waterfall scenes though.

Yeah for real . I am painting using wet on wet right now and it's not as easy as it looks but you do eventually start to get it.
