I've looked through about a hundred Triumph exhaust vids and this is one of my favorites. Your bike sounds as good as it looks. That is an awesome header/muffler combo!
best looking retro bike on the market and damn good color. I wish they make the RS in this color bummer for Triumph
Spotted the Nolden led headlamp and recognized your name from the triumph rat forum. You are my hero for posting that mod. Got my eyes on the dark chrome finished one for my thruxton RS. Wish the exhaust shopping was as easy(stupid welded cats on RS) got me all twisted on what route to go 😐
Sound perfect
I come to this video every 3 months or so for a smile😅. What clip ons are those? I notice they don’t have the 1” rise.
I've since sold this bike, but I miss it enough to where I want to buy it again!
As for the lowered clip on, it's a Triumph OEM accessory:
A9638108 for R and RS
A9638129 for Regular
EDIt: just be warned that while this reduces the height by only 70mm, it's enough to drastically change riding position. Hope you have a strong core and back!
@@StarManProduction It's really the best sounding Triumph on the internet. Hope the new owner treats it nicely.
Thank you very much for the part numbers 👌🏽
Haha yep, all that powerlifting is going to finally prove itself useful.
I have a thruxton R and I love my bike and I'm looking at exhaust options. I love the combination that you have going on, the sound is exactly what I'm looking for.. can you tell me which products exactly you put on, who did the work for you? Did you decat the bike and add the xpipe as well? Thanks!
It sounds awesome! I ended up putting an xpipe in and got the V & H silencers. It doesn’t have that awesome throaty rumble that yours does but i do love it. Also improved the performance for sure! Thanks for the reply though! Cheers!
Hello mate, just wondering if you remapped the ECU for this setup ?
I’m buying a speed twin with the v&h slip ons already fitted. How does the sound compare to this? Do you think arrow headers are a must if you want this sound?
Hi there, I just bought these headers for my Thruxton TFC. Will leave the Vance and Hines slip on cans on the bike, which have baffled welded in. Very excited about getting them fitted. Do these slip on cans in your vid have the baffle in or out? How was the performance increase? Cheers Michael
Congratulations in owning the TFC! I've seen one in person and it's a stunning machine. Yes, the headers are built so that it matches how the factory headers end. Therefore, it can be used on virtually any Aftermarket and Factory cans. I honestly don't notice the power increase, but I know it's there since you're eliminating back pressure created by the catalytic converter. You'll notice some nice crackling when decelerating :)
StarvinMarvin Productions thanks for the response! Yeah loving the TFC, only just done 600 miles. Real head turner. Out of interest do your slip on cans have baffles in them or is your system straight through with no sound deadening?
PS love your Thruxton, looks (and sounds) stunning! If it wasn’t for the TFC I would have got silver for sure.
@@AdmrbleCrichts mine is just straight through.. while the volume is not deafening when I'm riding, anyone listening behind the muffler it's pretty darn loud if I go 70% or more on the throttle.
Michael Crichton Hey Michael how did you go installing the headers on the TFC with the original cans ?
Are these the Arrow headers that delete the cat?
These are the versions that"bypasses" the cats.
71658MI (Bypasses the cats - cats remain on but are capped off - easier to install) and 71664MI (deletes the cat -- saves weight)
Needs a cleaner bass note and less clatter. my lawnmower sounds like this when the muffler has rotted through
