They both look great! I still love watching M*A*S*H reruns all these years later. Loretta Switt and Jamie Farr still looks great! The show got me through many a surgery growing up, i pictured my doctors as Hawkeye (Alan Alda) and my nurses as Major. Margaret Holahan (sp?) I watched the reruns the night before surgery and i was relaxed. The show is still so funny. I recite the lines all the time. I have heard that story that Jamie recalls about his first day one the show countless time in interviews and it's still as funny as the first time i heard it.

MASH is special to me. I am Canadian and my father was in the Canadian Navy and served in the Korean Conflict. When MASH came on, he would start talking what went on in Korea. From listening to his stories, and watching the doctors from the Real Mash talking, I think there were quite a few things from the show that was correct. The Captain that was in charge of the ship that my father was on, acted exactly like the character of Frank Burns. The real doctors who actually were in 8055 MASH, talked about some of the medical procedures done and remarked "I wouldn't want to be that patient." They also talked about 5 o'clock Charlie but in Korea, he was known as bedtime Charlie. My father also talked about one of the sailors who kept bending down picking up pieces of paper and then he would remark "that's not the paper I'm looking for" so they gave him his discharge papers which he remarked "that's the paper I've been looking for". As a consequences he was discharged from the navy but the army was waiting for him, so he still in the Armed Forces. My husband down loaded all 11 seasons from MASH and every night I watch those episodes before I go to sleep.

Margaret getting married hastened Linville's exit from the show. He said one reason, other than the character didn't grow was that Frank became the sole heel and the butt of jokes and didn't have a "partner in crime" anymore.

The interviewer is young. I remember MASH first run though I was a bit young for the first seasons.

I thought Jamie's first appearance on MASH had nothing to do with him wearing women's clothes. His character got in trouble for a bandana he refused to stop wearing.

I remember that scene but it came after we his first scene was him in a females army uniform on patrol at night. I remember they said his legs were great for the scene all hairy.

@@knightrcer Oh yeah, I see you're right, I remember that scene, Sorrell Booke (aka "Boss Hogg") was an officer confronted by Klinger in drag who calls the officer "Mary" then skips away.
