Hey Josh great video as always , just wondering when it comes to pressure washer should I have a higher GPM? I have the Ryobi 1900 PSI model with 1.2 GPM but I find it doesn't knock the dirt of the car like in most car detail videos I watch like Vermijl , Pan the Organizer , and Stuaffers Garage . So in your opinion do you feel like I need another washer with a higher GPM like the Greenwork's 2300 PSI model with 2.4 GPM although it has that 5 sec delay , would that give me the same knock off dirt feature I'm looking for. Besides that I can clean all my family's cars perfectly with the 1900 PSI Ryobi and paired with everything I learned from you , I get the job done well. So I guess the main question just is the higher GPM a better focus for a pressure washer unit although I'm not a mobile detailer guy at all just a regular at home DIY'r
yea say 2 gpm at 1100psi will clean more (rinse away) that a 1.2 gpm at 1100psi... The greenworks doesnt actually get 2.4 gpm I cant remember the actual numbers but it definitely wasnt 2.4 Honestly, i would stick with the ryobi 1900 you have until you can upgrade to a pro unit that actually get the 2 gpm. But again, not necessary, its just nice to have!
@@imjoshv Josh, I have been looking tirelessly for a very good quality electric power washer. You mentioned a pro level electric power washer. If price is an a huge option and I just want a very good quality Electric power washer what would you suggest? I looked at the Ryobi 2300 you mentioned and there’s a ton of bad reviews on it’s build quality so I’m willing to step up to a pro level power washer and not have to deal with substandard build quality. Thanks! You’re right about the hose! I have to bend each loop in the hose in the opposite direction to get it straight. It’s a tough hose to bend. It's probably the same motor, different pump. From an engineering standpoint, it'd be pretty easy to modify pump design to increase psi by sacrificing rate. I'm sure that's why the gpm is slightly lower on the 2700 than on the 2300. I do the same thing all the time for pumps in oil wells. You generally have a handful of motor sizes to choose from and then you have a lot more selection for pumps to get it dialed in for your application.

What would be the we difference from the ryobi 1600 psi 1.2 gpm vs s 2300 psi 1.2 gpm both having auto off feature? Regarding car detail and personal use? Please let me know 😅
The 2300 is an induction motor that lasts longer. It also comes with the wheels and storage. With that said, the 1600 at $100 (or right around there) is a fantastic value
If you're aiming for a sweet spot of say 1000-1200 psi, with as much gpm as you can get then typically having a higher max psi initially CAN be nice because it usually gives a bit more wiggle room to tweak things how you want to by using different nozzles. For example if you threw the exact same bigger orifice nozzle on both units you may get it up to 1.5 gpm or something (just throwing a number out there btw not saying that's actually accurate or obtainable) but the unit with 1600 psi may now be underneath that 1000 or so psi threshold and be practically unusable, while the 2300 psi unit may still be giving you 1100psi, now with more flow. It all depends on the unit itself though and how the manufacturer ended up tuning the unit and reaching the numbers they listed on the box. That's why these videos from Josh are so helpful, it gives an idea of what the unit is really capable of and how much it may be possible to tweak the parameters and get more gpm or psi. Matt Moreman over at Obsessed Garage actually has a spreadsheet showing the data from several pressure washers including most of the Ryobi line and the 1600 PSI Ryobi is actually the best rated one and most capable according to his testing. With a 3.0 orifice nozzle it puts out 1.4 GPM at 1025 PSI which is more than you can tease out of the rest of their lineup.

No issues at all. Very happy with it.UPDATE: After 6 months of use and over 70 uses I would still highly recommend this pressure washer. It does vibrate a decent amount but never had it “walk” like others have mentioned. No oil leaks, still seems to run like the day I bought it. Still cranks within 2-3 pulls every time. Very happy with my purchase!Have used it about a dozen times now. Plenty of power, cranks up on 1-2 pulls every time. My only complaint would be I wish it was a little taller to make it easier to walk with it (hits my ankles a lot) and that the two hose connections were a little further apart but it hasn’t caused me any issues. Seems to run a good 1-1/2-2 hrs on a full tank, overall a well built machine and definitely worth the money in my opinion.
Alright. Now let’s be honest, on a real mobile or at home setup. Would you recommend anything bigger than the 1800 psi small Ryobi unit?? Or anything larger??? Idk I would personally go for something smaller so it doesn’t take that much space
in my opinion. synthetic injector. for higher psi , because it has an outlet for less water. true to the power of the machine. while the other, larger nozzle will put more water, but the psi is reduced
Great video and review as always. I didn’t realize until you mentioned it that the flexzilla hose is the same as the uberflex. He basically hates the ramp-up of the greenworks despite their numbers being basically the same. And it seems, for most here and him included, that the total stop feature on the new Ryobi 2300 holds a lot of value. The greenworks do not have that feature
@victorvek5227 he said in another viedo that he reached out to greenworks and they told him that long delay is for the longevity of the machine making it easier for the motor and for the money and the specs it's the best pressure washer on the market for the price
just got the 2300 not happy so far used it yesterday for the 1st time for like 3 hrz no problems today from the start i can use it for like 5-15 min then no pressure pressure turn off for 5 mins workz for another 5-15 min and the process just repeats
Just look for the box that looks like it has a newer design on it and if I remember correctly it's the bigger box. Same model # and no advertising of this upgraded feature on box itself.
So if you don’t really care about the total stop feature, the 2700 is still good? I’m impartial to it, I don’t care if the motor runs. I just purchased the 2700 but can still return it.
@@imjoshv ended up returning it anyway. Was going to buy the Dewalt 2400 because of the nozzles it comes with but they were out of stock. Ended up with the Ryobi 2300 with total stop. Plan on purchasing some 2.5 nozzles for lighter use.

Have you tried the Ryobi 3000 psi Electric pressure washer
Just the intro is worth the like
Thanks I try and get the main points out quickly!
Great video and review as always.
I didn’t realize until you mentioned it that the flexzilla hose is the same as the uberflex.
That’s awesome.we sell those where I work so I can get those at wholesale cost.definitely gotta score one of those.
Personally I prefer 1,200-1,800 psi for car detailing and washing mowers.much more manageable and plenty of psi for those applications.
Please keep the videos coming
How does it compare to green works pro 2700 or 3000 in your opinion
Thx love the videos can’t wait for 1800
He basically hates the ramp-up of the greenworks despite their numbers being basically the same.
Giving you a like and comment for the quick overview at the front! I appreciate it!
👍👍
Thanks a lot for this amazing review
just got the 2300 not happy so far used it yesterday for the 1st time for like 3 hrz no problems today from the start i can use it for like 5-15 min then no pressure pressure turn off for 5 mins workz for another 5-15 min and the process just repeats
Another outstanding video, Thanks brother 👍
Thank you
Can you do the ryobi 2900 gas one they have at home depot for $329 plz
Hi Josh...Could you please drop a link to the 2300 psi unit that has total stop? Thanks in advance!
Just look for the box that looks like it has a newer design on it and if I remember correctly it's the bigger box. Same model # and no advertising of this upgraded feature on box itself.
I watch this same video every day😂
Haha thanks
So if you don’t really care about the total stop feature, the 2700 is still good? I’m impartial to it, I don’t care if the motor runs. I just purchased the 2700 but can still return it.
Yea if you don’t care about the total stop it’s a good unit!
@@imjoshv ended up returning it anyway. Was going to buy the Dewalt 2400 because of the nozzles it comes with but they were out of stock. Ended up with the Ryobi 2300 with total stop. Plan on purchasing some 2.5 nozzles for lighter use.
They give you the black nozzle with this pressure washer maybe use that one to get the most pressure out of this maxhine
Is this safe to just wash a car with or is it too strong?
Which one is better with gasoline
Dam just got the 2700 gonna have to return it tho for the 2300
Would you buy a Ryobi or Greenworks 2700 electric power washer???
He’d recommend the new Ryobi 2300 because there’s no ramp-up and it has total stop system.
do a 2700psi vs 3000psi bro
Great review! After using a pressure washer with the total stop system, that constant noise is no fun.
i assumed the greenworks 2700/3000 would be similar, but the gw pumps look much more robust. i have the gw 3000 and i to get lower psi with a 3.0 orifice, but not that low. also gw doesnt have total stop either
Man, if GW could just do something about that ramp-up and include a total stop system, we could all stop watching these damn videos! Lol
WOW! Thank you for the warning on this POS!
Yea it does what it says (pretty accurate ratings) but the lack of total stop and steep drop off on performance is a bummer..
Masterforce™ 2700 PSI 1.3 gpm vs RYOBI 2700psi 1.1gpm ???
Please do the 1800 psi tmr
I wouldn't upgrade from my 2300 psi until it breaks but the 2700 is only 20 dollars more
id stick to the 2300, it will work for the driveway as well! Im going to test the variable nozzle that the 2700 comes with on other units to see if it gets more psi on those
@Donald 2300 makes short works of mildew and algae
Maybe a 2.0 nozzle would hit 900 psi
Quite disappointing I’m glad I bought the craftsman you did the test on
Bought one. Stopped pressurized the water after about 10 uses. 2nd one I've bought. Thing is garbage for longevity....
A little disappointing in my opinion, thanks Josh 👍😁
just buy 5gpm motor and modify replacement.
Could i wash a car with this?😊
You’re the spit of Nick Diaz bro lol
why is this MOSTLY about YOUR FACE? Is your mom watching these videos; cause honestly SHE IS THE ONLY ONE WHO WANTS TO SEE YOUR FACE THAT MUCH!
Hater🤣🤣🤣
Way too many "go ahead's"
