A Chinese father has trained his three children, between the ages of 8 and 12, into local kung Fu champions. Liu Long says his children started copying his moves as he practised the martial art. He's been training them since 2017 and leading them to victory at local competitions. Li also says kung fu has improved his children's health and helped them develop good habits in life.

@Tyrell Johnson I wasn't analyzing the whole video but who said they were gonna be fighting some grown people. Besides they might improve when they are older. Not everyone is a Perfessional fighter either. Also, kung fu, Taekwondo, and Karate all have their different aspects but somewhat a little similar. If they are doing it for self defense. Then there ain't nothing wrong with it.

Aha I wielded a sword when I was eight too haha- so I find it kinda normal??? It’s normal to me when I see kids younger than me wielding swords and wooden sticks and spears.
I first wielded a sword when I was 7/8? Same as the boy, first used a wooden stick as a weapon when I was 9/10? And then a spear when I was 11/12. I still have my weapons aha. These kids remind me of me when I was still practicing Kung fu.

The world needs more dad's like this. Some may not agree with his methods but they work. His kids are growing up in an environment filled love and discipline while also learning respect for themselves, their elders, and their environment.

I am in my 50s and I still train in kung fu that I learned in Taiwan in later in mainland China. It’s the one thing that keeps me in shape mentally and physically. And I do enjoy training my children in different aspects of martial arts. This father in the video seems like a great guy

I hope the children do not depart from their lessons when they are adults, as to me martial arts should be mandatory to learn. Teaching self defense should be a required life skill, to help with a child's self esteem and knowing how to resolve conflict if he or she encounters a problem.
I wanted to learn martial arts, but my mother could not keep up the payments sadly. And being a victim of bullying, learning how to defend myself would have benefited me.
