JCC is always one of my favourite 8OOTCDC guests. He's so upbeat and positive about the players poems. Mind you, he's not been the same since Joe's poem, but then again have any of us?
He's a very good sport.
Joe's poem is one of the great TV moments of the last twenty years. It deserves to be trotted out every Christmas like Morecambe and Wise.

I can never understand how John Cooper Clark manages to appear so frequently on comedy based panel shows. Guy writes interesting poetry but he's about as funny as a used teabag.

I immediately recognised JCC's poem earlier on this programme as ' I wanna be yours' -Arctic mokeys
I did too! Googled it and JCC has a writing credit on it!
The first Arctic Monkeys album is probably one of the top 10 best albums of the last 20 years. Everything after that is pretty average.
@@PaulWinstanleyPhysio JCC wrote the original poem for his 1982 album _Zip Style Method_ (as well as writing the original music with Steve Hopkins and producer Martin Hannett), the Arctic Monkeys wrote and performed new music to the poem along with additional new lyrics by frontman Alex Turner.
@antster1983 yeah found this out when I looked it up, didn't know of the poem before, but knew of the Arctic Monkeys song. I'm just glad JCC gets royalties for it!

I lasted less than 10 minutes. Who is that decrepit looking old bastard in the shades? He looks like a medical experiment that went horribly wrong, but not so wrong that he didn't actually die from it. Back to QI for me!
