Just ordered one for $150 from Best Buy. Couldn’t pass that up considering it’s cheaper than a Charge 5. Upgrading from a Charge 3 to the XB43. Super hyped
@@pemalama23 I haven't tried the SoundCore Charge 3 so I don't know for sure. I know I've liked SoundCore products in the past as they tend to have more balanced sound. I think the design of that soundcore also looks pretty cool. Usually, when I find myself in these positions (if I can afford it) I will buy both of them and then the one I think is better I'll return. Which is why I like Best Buy as their return policy is excellent.
hi from Mexico! I am kicking tires on these speakers, and similar, and thanks for your review. The XB33 is for sale here in Mexico, and is rated at 100 watts RMS. I imagine the XB34 is the same. How did you find it when you crank it up?? Does the BASS break up? , or is it smooth?? Also, what is the XB43 rated at?? Have you tested how many watts it puts out?? Also, how would you compare this speaker to the JBL flip series?? They are less expensive as probably they have less bells and whistles.
Oh heck yeah! When I cranked it up the bass held steady. But I think it depends on the song/mix. Also, if you're EQ is adjusted (custom) sometimes that can cause it to break up as well. I don't know what it is rated at and I have not tested how many watts it puts out. I also haven't tried the JBL Flip Series. So can't comment on that. My apologies. But from what I've heard from my comment section (of people who have tried multiple bluetooth speakers) and random articles that I've found online this still seams to be one of the best large wireless speaker on the market. it's not perfect though. But I found for what it is that it performs well. I'd suggest checking out RTINGS (www.rtings.com/speaker/reviews/sony/srs-xb43) review of it as they go more in-depth than I do. They also compare it to the JBL Flip
They sound nice paired up. Good crisp high and low end. I use them all the time, morning until, and often during bedtime 🌙 for me the only issue is charging time LOL.
@@ThomasMuehler Ya that's pretty much how to avoid the problem. But it also works perfectly as an amp for my Korg modwave. Again the hi and low end sounds are really crisp, it's more than loud enough, and much cheaper than buying an amp with that quality of sound, big time. They also sound great listening to my favorite band tangerine dream. I've heard things I never heard before even with hi end earphones ?
I got this instead of a jbl 5 because it was 10$ cheaper being on clearance. Absolutely worth it, only complaint is the jbl would be a little more portable
That's awesome! Definitely still the best wireless speaker I've personally tried. Not saying that there isn't better out there just that this is still my go to out of the other ones I've tried. Is it highly portable... not really. But most of the time you just place it and you're done with it.
I don’t remember saying “exclusively made in Japan.” If I did, I apologize and am unsure why I would have said that. As I have a hard time believing that period. But obviously it isn’t true seeing as mine was made in China.
Hello, yes you did said it on 00:25-00:35 I’m not blaming you. I just trying to buy this speaker for my overseas trip but changed my mind when knowing it was made in China. Thanks for the review anyway, God bless.
@@robertle9526 I was mentioning that the fabric (and only the fabric) was exclusively made in Japan as that was one of the marketing terms that was in there. Not that the entire speaker was made in Japan. I should have been more clear there. And also researched that a bit more to make sure that is actually true. Also, not sure why I mention that as I don't see that being all that important.

Oh man I'm excited for you! I would love to hear your thoughts on it once you try it out.
@@ThomasMuehler thank you so much brotha. You were so awesome in the video. But do you think the Soundcore MotionBoom is better than the XB43 ?

Glad to see you posting more often.
Yeah, I've been testing a bunch of stuff out and finally have some time to get around to posting them. Hopefully you enjoy them.
Great explanation about a speaker mann like a news reporter ❤
I've had this XB43 since May of 2021, it is totally bad ass!
That's awesome! I'm glad you're still enjoying it.
You still rocking it or did you upgrade?
Still rockin it brother! @@deadthem
Great! can you use it without the lights for saving battery?
Yes, you can.
Try LDAC codec, otherwise you are not really testing its sound quality well.
Noted. Appreciate the constructive criticism.
great review, keep up the good work
I'm glad you liked it. Thanks for letting me know.
I definitely want to pick one of these up soon...
I'd love to hear your thoughts on it if you when/if you do.
@@ThomasMuehler will definitely do so 👍👍👍

That's impressive! If you use it that often could you just plug it in when it is stationary for long periods? As that charge time is brutal.

@@ThomasMuehler amen. I'm so glad I noticed the actual price of the speaker, because I got it for 134 instead of it's full price

Great video

Seems their Bluetooth speakers are becoming more like their Bluetooth headphones as far as software goes.
They are pretty similar.
Are you sure “it made exclusively in Japan?” I saw it “ made in China “ at 5:59.

Edit error at 6.25. Nice job overall
What error are you talking about?
Does it distort at high volumes like 80%?
No it doesn’t. I went to 100% and it was just fine.
I doupt anyone will be walking around with a massive xb43.
I don't know. Back in the day people walked around with giant boom boxes. This is still a massive step up from that. lol
Soundcore Motion Boom is better
I'll have to check it out some time. Thanks for the recommendation.
No, just got this speaker and its really not good, low end is very poor even with app tweaking
I appreciate you letting me know. Helps me with recommendations to others.
