It's disconcerting how some vocals disappear with the common filtering of apps. For example, without these stems, we would never be able to hear Normani even after filtering the song upside down, left and right. It's as if the filters erase some vocals that belong to a certain stem, since Camila's hidden vocals from the same stem are also nowhere to be heard with the common filtering. Makes me wonder which other songs have the same going on. I'm thinking, for instance, about Sledgehammer and Dinah's nonexistent vocals (at least that we can hear even after all the filtering over the years), but having said on interview she did record vocals for the chorus and it's stacked. Maybe the producers left them out, maybe they're really stacked, like Mani on this song. Without the stems, we would still think Normani just sighed in the studio this day
we'll have to wait until Sledgehammer's stems leak (also BO$$') - then we'll have every girl's vocals very clear!!! hopefully that day will come soon though

Surprised to hear Normani as I really thought she was not in this one or in a different spot in the chorus. The distribution is not just bad but doesn’t even really make sense. I’m assuming this song was recorded late into a session because the vocals are strangely rough at places. Ally sounds kinda odd, Dinah is a bit shouty and sloppy at the end of her verse, and Camila’s adlibs are dreadful. Thank you for breaking it all down for us.
