Oh man I think grandgale could have taken it by suspending itself, making it immune, suspend one 3 cost shoto to unsuspend grand, grand use vortex, and then redirect for game. New to the deck myself but I’m pretty sure that’s how you can do it. Oh just kidding I forgot that it’s not an on play like a card made from the Stone Age.
11:20 he did suspend the grand gale, then went into zeph to suspend the veemon then vortex. I think they both just forgot that it is until the end of op turn it is un affected, in the video he did say they were playing fast and loose and probably forgot about it
Imperial is genuinely one of Zephas worst matchups. You can just swing over their stuff but paildramon lock you out/make things awkward and you typically don't win fast enough and give them time to come back. Pomumon (BT9) is like your only hope in slowing them down!
Let's be honest most decks in this game are infuriating to play against, it's not just imperial. Dexdoru is also miserable, as is dominimon, magna still, leviamon still claps cheeks, both ancient decks suck, mirage otk's you after playing 4 trainings. The game is just like that these days
Some really are, like blue hybrid before ukkomon ban. But Imperial feels the most unfair to me. Has literally everything for the cost of nothing. Not too many sets ago, freezing a whole board was an effect owned by lv7. And they had NO protection. And now everything has jamming. @@enigmaticheart666
@@enigmaticheart666 The problem is how uninteractive Imperial is and how many tools they have. They freeze your board, stop you from doing anything (attack? You get ACE'd. Use training? Get fucked. Play by effect? Get fucked. Use your own ACEs? Get fucked) and now they have the broken AF option which also stops them from leaving the field so pretty much you have 0 options against Imperial unless your deck has access to De-digivolve. All this without even mentioning how clearing the board is also useless since they can rebuild from 0 (without a rookie on the back) and how they print memory. The deck is simply not fun to go against because you don't really get to play the game unless they brick super hard which... Oh look, they have access to 8+ searchers they can also play for free. :^)
Yeah, I agree, Imperial is by far worse than any other deck this game has seen. Overpowered decks in the past at least had one Achilles heel but it pretty much has an answer to everything. The one thing it had going against it was deletion by battle but now it gains advantage from that (lol)
You can't play Digimon Liberator with Digimon Liberator's second effect. It has to be a play cost of 3 or less and option cards don't have play cost.
that’s a very rookie mistake, but it happens
@@NewGenerationDuelist oh shoot yeah LMAO
On the card it says use cost not play cost
Read your cards digi players! But I blame both opponents for not catching it. Great commentary though! Huge fan of your videos!
