Thanks for watching John, I will be putting out a video on more of that GTO. I have some close up of it in the pits (interior and engine bay). TomEighty
tomeighty Thanks , it's what I have airbrushed on the trunk on the nova , figured would make a good user name. Great camera work by the way, enjoyed the racing as well as the footage in the pits.
Yeah that was amazing wrap or paint job on that car. I have some more videos of it with the front clip off to see the motor that I will release sometime soon. But it was pretty cool to see how bright the colors were in person. Thanks again for watching Ody! TomEighty
1/8th mile. With it being a non prepped track and the speeds that they can get up to, most no prep events are doing just 1/8th mile so everyone doesn't start smashing up the cars or killing themselves. Thanks for watching Keith! TomEighty
I wonder what Henry Ford and those early car makers would have said if we managed to take one of these back to show them how things progress? Just how we will if we saw what 'cars' look like in 100 years in the future I suppose. BUT will cars get faster or slower? Will there be fuel based engines or will they be electric? (That is IF the big oil/gas companies allow electric engines to progress - if they did I'm sure there would be more on the road NOW seeing as they can get some great speeds now and much cheaper, cleaner to run)
Turk,, these guys are not only racing for a purse BUT they're also bringing fans (with their wallets!) to the track,, Those long smoky burnouts are and always have been more for the fans than heating the tires,, they help keep the track open by spending theoir hard earned cash to go watch AND the smoke helps increase the fans coming to watch in person rather than what we're doing - sitting on our ass's at our laptop watching for FREE.

First comment
Why do they insist on doing funny car burn outs?
Just door slammer cars and nothing special or all that fast.
richard Turk you have a 6 second 1/4 Or a low 4 second 1/8 car?? .. clearly you're the only slow one around here
Some guys like it, I prefer to just right out of the water box on the line lock.
