Great topic, y'all! Woman are God's greatest creation in my opinion! So glad God has put some great women in my life, like Mom who's been in Heaven since the end of 2015, and some at Church which are stellar!! Thank You, Lord!!
Thanks for respecting and honoring women. I’ve seen a lot from the church about how women are seen as lesser or a person to avoid for potential adultery. I respect men that respect woman as human beings
As children of God; we must acknowledge the generic differences of accountable acts of both men and women and also, accept the shared responsibilities of these gender groups.
Took me a very long time to understand that my mother didn’t love me because she was incapable of doing so. When it came to the normal components that make an emotionally complete, balanced individual, my mother had several of them missing. Love, empathy and compassion were among the missing components. She had other components that were over developed like rage, anger, resentment and jealousy and I was her favourite dumping ground for all of these. I think she actually hated me and blamed me for all the things she thought she deserved in life and that my birth had prevented her achieving. Once I fully understood and accepted the person that my mother actually was rather than trying to make her into the mother I needed I was able to give up longing for a normal mother, know that she would never change and move on. I grieved for the mother that I should have had, accepted the womb donor that I actually had and emotionally detached from her. I didn’t love my mother but I didn’t hate her either. She wasn’t worth that kind of intense emotion. I felt indifferent to her and while I maintained contact with her during the times that she didn’t sever contact with me (periods of years in duration that afforded blessed relief) I kept the contact to a minimum. I am an only child and she was an only child so I felt a kind of duty to be there to assure her welfare only because there was nobody else. She had alienated all of my late father’s family and all of her extended family so there was nobody else. As with most difficult situations and people, acceptance is key. It is futile hoping that your mother will love you when she clearly doesn’t so accept it and move on. Ignore all the ridiculous memes and messages about unconditional mother love and live with your own reality. Stop struggling to gain her approval because it isn’t going to happen. Move on and in the absence of nurture from your mother, nurture yourself. Keep Jesus Christ first. Always. Amen
