Beyond just the lack of pulls, junk = half the cards having bent or dinged up corners. Brutal quality control.

I was so about to get a few boxes of this stuff, I even found a cheaper site at $160 a box, but after watching several videos, I am either going to pass or hope it goes below $125 someday.

Skybox is a tough product for the price point vs 'hits'. Still prefer Allure & OPCP over anything to date. Good luck to those who throw $200 at this.
I agree. It’s hard to justify buying this over other sets like Artifacts and Trilogy that are cheaper at the moment

I'd rather get the 2022-23 Skybox for $75 a box than this tbh. Can't justify the $220 price point even if Bedard is in it he's definitely SP.

How does UD keep producing soooo many cards of sooo many products. Are that many people actually buying this stuff?
I used to like Meatal Universe..used to. I will stick to getting a Rangers team base set and the Igor cards.
They changed how the PMGs work this year. They now follow traditional numbering. There’s 100 reds and 10 greens. The greens are literally numbered to 10 instead of just being 1/100-10/100 like in years past.
It's been like that for several years. The only pmg's that are numbered out of 100 with 10 of those being green were the 97/98 throwbacks bc that's how they were numbered back in 97/98.
@@PhilipFrench-ly9rm that isn’t correct. All PMGs in Metal Universe from 20-21 to 22-23 followed that retro numbering, whether it be the base PMGs or retro PMGs. This year it’s only the retros, with the base following “standard” numbering (separate print runs).

125.00 is still to high. Bad quality. Sticker autos. And non interesting inserts. Even at a lower price point of 125.00 that's still 8.50 per pack (ridiculous)
As someone whom collected the marvel comic cards n such back in the day ... UD should have left Skybox Metal for only the comic & wrestling cards ... to me these metal series cards shouldnt be used for " sports " like hockey & such ... They also got Fleer Flair which are also a holowfoil style series & would have been more suited for " sports " cards.
Thanks for the video's as always Zeeree. Btw took a chance on 5 packs from my 1 local crappy tims location .. I pulled out of them a " Timbits " of Jets Josh Morresey ... definately a very cool 1:100 packs insert in the 10th ani series of the cards.
They should scrap this set and return Black Diamond back to normal.

Been collecting football and basketball cards for a lil over a year now and having fun with it - hockey is my favorite sport and would love to collect as well but man it just seems like there’s hardly any value in any of these products… if anyone has suggestions of worthwhile hockey products lmk :)

The quality control/low quality paper stock makes this set unfortunately a pass. I like to get my cards graded.

Definitely don't buy this product lol
cheapest for beginners would be MVP, but best bet if you wanna start is series 1, 2 and extended series, though any hobby box for Bedard's rookie year will be really pricey unfortunately, so probably buy blasters over hobby to begin, unless you're willing to pay a lot and gamble then you'll get a better chance at a nice pull with a hobby box

Garbage product...Garbage quality control....ridiculous price per box....if everyone stopped buying this junk maybe quality and price would improve..... but as it stands now this is very expensive bird cage lining.
