- Today we visit Corvette Warehouse in Dallas to take out a beautiful 2012 C6 Corvette Grand Sport and I give you my opinions of the convertible as I have never driven a Corvette convertible outside of my C8. I also do a demonstration of how to lower and raise the convertible top.

Went from a jaguar xk to this. Best choice ever. I love everything about it. Even the rims are baller. I got the automatic. I'm sick of shifting gears, fun when racing, sucks when you're in downtown traffic
Yes!! I love the rims. I absolutely agree with you. I love a manual transmission but it’s just terrible in traffic. We have a few areas here in DFW that I refuse to bring my C7 manual through.

I gotta give you A BIG thumbs up 👍🏻 over the past 30 years I’ve owned five Corvettes and a 2018 Camaro ZL1 I have never gone through a drive-through or eaten fast food in any of them, never have & never will. If I happen to be out and about, and the wife and kids, tell me to bring home fast food, I will come home to get my hummer H3 🍻

A top down Corvette is the ultimate expression of the corvette line . I appreciate the lighter weight of a cloth manual top, since I don't put it up often.

I own 2011 GS convertible. I love it but dont have time to drive it because i have to work 7 days a week to stay above water. Maybe 1 day i can finally enjoy it. It has 18000 miles.

Compare the C6 ZO6 with the C8 Stingray. Both close to 500 horsepower give or take 5 hp either way. Yes, visibility in the C6 beats the C8. I find myself checking more and more with the C8 before changing lanes. I didn’t have a C7 so it’s not in my wheelhouse to make a comparison.

Hey FSD, wouldn’t mind a comparison of a C7 automatic vs C7 Z51 automatic. Wondering if performance offsets the Z51 cost and maintenance costs ex: bigger tires and brakes. etc. $$. Especially if I won’t track it … much.
That would be a good one. I’d like to get Steve behind the wheel of a C7 Z51 because he had a C7 non z51 for several years. He may be able to give good insight as to whether there is much difference.

Great video but was looking for feature review, Bluetooth, traction control, my corvette is automatic convertable but I see other corvettes like mine are a manual top.
Maybe I can do that type of video soon. They have so many nice C6’s at Warehouse.
An automatic is a "no go" for me. Has to be a manual or what's the point. Looks great though!
I tend to agree. My C8 is auto and often quite boring while my C7 is a manual. I definitely enjoy it much more. Unless I’m in traffic. Then I HATE IT. lol
