Once upon a time, there was a Starch-Lord. This Starch-Lord was so powerful that it could conjure an entire army of roots with just a flick of its wrist. It could summon so many roots that the entire board was filled with them, and the opponent’s zombies couldn’t even move. The Starch-Lord was so strong that it could even defeat the infamous Z-Mech in a single turn. It could conjure so many cards that its hand was always full, and it never ran out of options. But the true power of the Starch-Lord was not in its ability to conjure roots. No, the true power of the Starch-Lord was in its ability to summon the ultimate weapon: Cornucopia. With Cornucopia by its side, the Starch-Lord was unstoppable. It could conjure a never- ending stream of plants that overwhelmed the opponent’s defenses and destroyed everything in its path And that, my friends, is the power of the Starch Lord. May we all be blessed with its incredible strength and unwavering power.
*sigh* starch lord is the most overrated card in the entire game. I can't stand it when people think starch lord is good. You guys, this is a 4 cost card that has 2 attack and 4 health. It has garbage stats. Now let's look at it's abilities. When you play a root, it gets +1/+1. Thats almost no- think about it. In order to get this up to the actual stats that it needs to be as a 4 cost card, this would have to buff like 2 roots just to break even. It would have to grow 3 roots to actually be viable. The fact that people think that it is a good idea to start drawing cards on turn 5, it really means you have no idea how to play pvz heroes. It's way too late! This is- it's- you dont make a deck that has roots in it, that's not a good strategy, there are some good roots in the game but you just have to put too many roots in it. It's drawing cards on turn 5, the last turn you're gonna be drawing cards as a plant player is going to be on turn 3. it's so overrated, it's just a big piece of trash, just look at this guy, a big ugly guy. it's based on by the way the worst Marvel superhero in the entire Marvel Fra- actually universe of Superheroes in the entire history of the planet, star-lord, who is a simp, douchebag, has no superpowers, is the lamest, dumb. and do you know what, it's appropriate cuz this is the stupidest card in the game and it's based on the stupidest Marvel superhero ever. This is so overrated, It's so *grunts* it's so, I'm sticking this in F tier I don't even care.
So I've changed my mind about a lot of cards you know in the game over the years, um and you know Starch Lord is definitely not an exception Starch Lord is actually, if I'm being real, is a very powerful card. It can conjure an entire army of roots really with just the flick of its wrist because of its ability [...] If you are swarming the field with roots every single turn, the zombies really can't even move. It can actually destroy Z-Mech in an entire turn because it's conjuring roots every single turn, your hand is always full and you're never going to run out of options. Never gonna be good never has been good, cards get deleted if they ever make a set five of this game (?) absolute trash garbage I don't even care there you go I said it absolute trash chat GPT can take it to the bank.
For a second I thought for real you went through the Starch Lord redemption arc (I didin't remember full AI chat master creation). It's really great that you're making a renewed tier list a thing.
Garlic is unique because it's the only guardian card that trades up against basically any zombie 1-drop on turn 1. It's the reason you can't play genetic on 1 against guardian heroes. Even if it's a teacher, it at least even trades with the trick the opponent plays to answer it. I'd say high B tier honestly. I also disagree with the idea to rank hot date and water chestnut in the same tier. Hot date can drag amphibious minions and is a good way to protect your tempo plants, I'd say C tier. Water chestnut is basically completely useless, F tier. P.S.: why the heck is Marine Bean a guardian card and not smarty??
Oh no Fry started a new Starch Lord meme! Always entertaining and your advises actually helped more to learn and have fun experimenting a lot of stuffs! 😀

1/1 isn't much? You say that to people who thinks headstone carver is good. You just play starch lord in a dino deck. Simple. Extra card for dino roars.
Spinapple could be reworked to give +3 attack and cost 4 to be really strong in pecanolith decks countering rolling stone, probably a little busted tho
What is the purpose of preventing pecanolith from rolling stone, opponents should've used it in the first 4 turns, plus buffing plants on turn 4 is terrible
Sad i missed this stream, I’m determined to make it to at least 1 tier list stream because they might not happen anymore in the future (at least for a couple years) and they’re fun and more unique from normal content
Hi Fry, been watching your content since the very beginning so thank you for existing AND may I ask you to do a tier list of the sounds that the different minions make? When you click on them in the collection section and wait for a moment, some of them will start producing completely random and obscure sounds (cheese cutter may surprise you) Thanks again and may EA bless us with an update while we are still here.
I saw you put Gardening Gloves in f tier but hear me out, i've been using it in conjunction with a Wallknight heal deck and i swear it is not bad at all, and i have like 4 of them because they have helped me so many times. It works decently as small card draw for a turn 2 tricarrotops if it survives the zombie tricks, it's not gonna be photosynthesizer, but it'll be extra card draw (and if they used a space caddet or a summoning to try and kill it, i can force them to hit face and charge my block metter). Or better yet, you can trick sneaky heroes into commiting alpha base z then move it to heights, thats a 3/5 tricarrotops that is completely safe for that turn (you can still choose to use team-ups to protect him and such, your choice) and next turns they'll be continuing trying to answer the 4/6. Works great against smelly (ive seen many people use it nowadays as an answer to tricarrotops), or any dead zombie (just gotta get creative with deadly imp strats). This doesnt even need to be just a tricarrotops thing, it can be extra card draw for lated on, to activate aloesaurus' healing, or just to protect your Pepper MDs by either moving him himself or by moving a team-up. It's pretty flexible, i'd give you the deck list if you're interested in trying it
Smoke Bomb, Fruit Cake, Rocket, Bounce, Alienate... Adding extra threat is more reliable than trying to protect one card. I often see HG "Deadly Imp" with Teleport, or even Line Dancing Zombie is sufficient to answer the "clever" trick, while achieving its main purpose.
@@brownish4614 its not just that 1 thing, its more flexible than hes giving it credit. Usually i dont speak up about stuff cuz fry knows a lot, but gardening gloves really doesnt suck as much as f tier, i'd say around c
@@caoinhnamkhanh2795 As what Fry explained on Pumpkin Shell, so does why investing Gardening Gloves is less reliable than Photosynthesizer. Having the extra health on extra minion you could play really ruins a lot of opponent strategy, because the whole point of Triceratops is to act as a Tempo card. Being able to win games quicker with aggressive board help me a lot than sacrifice 2 Sun to keep a big Triceratops or Dr Pepper alive.
@@brownish4614 but moving it also helps. Im not saying its better than photo, it can help alongside the photos. And moving also deals with alpha base, or deadly minions which is another way to evade other than teamups fronting
@@caoinhnamkhanh2795 Kernel Pult and Banana Peel are sufficient to stop it, cheaper. Kabloom has various removal, and Smarty has Shrinking Violet/Citron Super. Moving is not necessary because there are cheaper alternatives. As what Fry experienced, most of the time the card that we tried to protect just get easily removed via Trick, very common Teleport, or even Sumo. That's why it was rated so low. I stopped using Gloves when I find sub class options are sufficient against common strategy.
Back here to comment again on Shamrocket. I think the other thing too is there’s basically no Zombie with team up, yet Plantd could team up. This can effectively mean that killing 1 Zombie with Shamrocket is equivalent to killing 2 plants with Rocket Science. It is broken because it is essentially 2 Rocket Sciences for the same cost in one card meaning the plants can have the effective theoretical equivalent to 8 Rocket Sciences.
Starch-Lord, the heroic plant from Plants vs. Zombies Heroes, is undoubtedly a formidable and versatile character that is highly regarded among players. With a plethora of unique abilities and an impressive set of stats, Starch-Lord proves to be an invaluable asset in any battle. Here are some reasons why Starch-Lord is considered an exceptional card: 1. Unique and powerful abilities: Starch-Lord possesses two exceptional abilities - "Kale Force" and "Mayflower." "Kale Force" allows Starch-Lord to create a random Legendary plant in a random lane, providing players with an instant advantage on the field. "Mayflower" empowers Starch-Lord to conjure a random superpower when played, making each turn unpredictable and exciting. 2. Versatile gameplay: Starch-Lord's abilities and stats make it a versatile card that fits well in various strategies. It can be effectively used as both a defensive and offensive plant, thanks to its decent health and attack stats. Whether you prefer controlling the board with powerful legendary plants or playing superpowers strategically, Starch-Lord can adapt to your preferred playstyle with remarkable efficacy. 3. Synergistic possibilities: Starch-Lord's abilities synergize exceptionally well with other cards, allowing for powerful combos and synergies. For instance, pairing Starch-Lord with cards that amplify the effects of legendary plants or superpowers can result in devastating plays that significantly turn the tide of the game in your favor. This versatility and compatibility make Starch-Lord a valuable addition to any deck. 4. Strategic value: Starch-Lord's abilities require careful decision-making and strategic thinking. Timing its play and utilizing the conjured legendary plants or superpowers can create surprising and effective strategies. This adds an exciting layer of skill and depth to the gameplay, making each match with Starch-Lord a thrilling experience. 5. Iconic and unique design: Alongside its exceptional abilities, Starch-Lord possesses a visually appealing design that stands out among other characters in the game. Its vibrant and colorful appearance, combined with its distinct starry headgear, makes Starch-Lord an instantly recognizable and memorable character.
I was the person who asked for him to redo the tier list and I was expecting a no but as you can see I was wrong. So my point is if you have a suggestion for a content creator suggest it and maybe it will become a reality.
starch lord is actually really good though. it can LITERALLY conjure any roots, including legendary ones, and it will buff every single root that you place down no matter what, starch lord is one of my favorite rare cards actually
Definitely late to the party, but I think Shamrocket is "balanced". Brainy Heroes themselves basically get a 2nd turn with Teleports, and the Zombie side has stronger environments(and environment priority), and better special effects (deadly/frenzy > Double-Strike). So, I think Plants' stronger tricks/more instants in return helps balance things out. Even changing the cost of Shamrocket by +1 would probably make swarm/aggro so much more powerful, and throw off the balance even more.
Day 1 of requesting you to make a deck around Petel Morbosis in OHIO It's BROKEN!!! It costs 8, gives you cornucopia / great Zucchini / Astroe Vera Just Ramp, play it on turn 3-4 and IMMORTALITY Easy 10/0 (Call it plant's Swabbie) Deck suggestion: twin sunflower, primal sunflower, 0-cost plants, IMITATOR and THE PETAL MORBOSIS
Personally I would put potato mine in D tier, but other than that I agree with this tier list - Potato Mine can protect tempo cards like tricarratops from deadly zombies
30:47 I find spinapple OK in budget mirror but decks but at that point just run three nut or pecanolith. I still think the card sucks but I found a niche purpose for it
If three nut is already better why do you think spineapple is not the worst card in the game, dies to weed spray and everything. Budget decks are terrible with spineapple, literally just use berry angry
I remember a time when shamrocket didnt exist and guacodile had way more value because people run more high stats zombies Running guaco right now feels like using a sniper inside a house -A guacodile fan :(
I was there spamming in the chat. When Fry puts the chat at the middle of the screen, you can see me on the pumpkin shell at 0:20 and the chat froze on screen for a second so i got my name in a Fry vid for a whole second! 🎉 Edit: It's at 0:21 and a half second actually.
I dont think he used them enough to make a proper tier list as of now, and either way they're all really unbalanced and can only be used against bots which makes them hard to rate

Starch may be overrated but i wouldn't put him to the bottom of the list, I'd say he is D, since he can carry if you are lucky (especially against players with less cards when every deck is mid/late game)

3 years later, and fry still manually clicks off the card and goes to the next one rather than just swiping right
I found out recently that you can just hold the deck image to open it instead of clicking on it and then clicking on edit. Accidentally, of course.
Fry is a sigma, so he never swipes right

The berry works really well with environments like coffee grounds
JUSTICE FOR STARCH-LOARD!1!!1!11!1!!!11!1 I love you Fry
fry waited his whole life for the starch-lord bamboozle
Hey fry, would you ever do the tier list of all the different deck archetypes?
its called the "tribe tierlist" i believe (I mightve misunderstood you)
@@moonwatcher3350 i think it means. stuff like aggro, control, cycle, tempo, midrange etc
@@Outcastsage9033 Yes that is what I mean. Look up “PVZH Deck Archetypes v5” and there should be an example.
Fry and starch lord are the ying yang of the pvz h community
Back here to comment again on Shamrocket. I think the other thing too is there’s basically no Zombie with team up, yet Plantd could team up. This can effectively mean that killing 1 Zombie with Shamrocket is equivalent to killing 2 plants with Rocket Science.
It is broken because it is essentially 2 Rocket Sciences for the same cost in one card meaning the plants can have the effective theoretical equivalent to 8 Rocket Sciences.
Yes but the zombie did not play two card to sacrifice them
Thank you for keeping this dead game alive!!
Here are some reasons why Starch-Lord is considered an exceptional card:
Can we just appreciate how calm the chat was? Im surprised they were able to keep their cool
Chat isnt on screen?
Like when they literally spam the entire starch lord copypasta?
I was the person who asked for him to redo the tier list and I was expecting a no but as you can see I was wrong. So my point is if you have a suggestion for a content creator suggest it and maybe it will become a reality.
6:54 spoilers for the mega grow tier list
Finally!! Thanks u so much Fry and keep up the great content!
starch lord is actually really good though. it can LITERALLY conjure any roots, including legendary ones, and it will buff every single root that you place down no matter what, starch lord is one of my favorite rare cards actually
Omg I did not expect J1mmy a old school RuneScape UA-camr to appear in a ad in a fry em up video.
Day 1 of requesting you to make a deck around Petel Morbosis in OHIO
It's BROKEN!!! It costs 8, gives you cornucopia / great Zucchini / Astroe Vera
Just Ramp, play it on turn 3-4 and IMMORTALITY
Easy 10/0 (Call it plant's Swabbie)
Deck suggestion: twin sunflower, primal sunflower, 0-cost plants, IMITATOR and THE PETAL MORBOSIS
Good thing making updated tier lists
I used gardening gloves in this one agrro spudow deck and it kinda works but I do understand why it’s in F tier
Good video Fry!
should've been a 1 hour long startch lord rant
Personally I would put potato mine in D tier, but other than that I agree with this tier list
- Potato Mine can protect tempo cards like tricarratops from deadly zombies
Most zombies have more than 2 health, potato mine is extremely useless. 0 cost team ups are way more useful
30:47 I find spinapple OK in budget mirror but decks but at that point just run three nut or pecanolith. I still think the card sucks but I found a niche purpose for it
If three nut is already better why do you think spineapple is not the worst card in the game, dies to weed spray and everything. Budget decks are terrible with spineapple, literally just use berry angry
i dont even remember making this comment but you right@@LJTTYT
FRY YOUR My Favorite UA-camr subscribed for 4 years
Thx Fry for remaking the tier list☺️
I remember a time when shamrocket didnt exist and guacodile had way more value because people run more high stats zombies
Running guaco right now feels like using a sniper inside a house
-A guacodile fan :(
I was there spamming in the chat. When Fry puts the chat at the middle of the screen, you can see me on the pumpkin shell at 0:20 and the chat froze on screen for a second so i got my name in a Fry vid for a whole second! 🎉
Edit: It's at 0:21 and a half second actually.
He is back to it (LETS GOOO)
Sad we didn't get a third Starch-Lord copypasta. Oh well, guess we have to wait for Kangaroo/Fighter
Still, Fry em up didn't admit how good the starch lord was.😢
I like the video! But the"we need a leap" make me crazy 😂😂
What do you mean scratch ground is useless? It can conjure legendary cards
I’m so happy I came…and liked commented and subscribed
I would love if you continued with this series but doing the Ohio mod cards.
Those are still getting changes so I think it’s best to wait a few more updates not to mention some stats aren’t listed sometimes
And he doesn’t even know what most of them do.
I dont think he used them enough to make a proper tier list as of now, and either way they're all really unbalanced and can only be used against bots which makes them hard to rate
Shamrocket's only true weakness is mix-up gravedigger and cursed gargolith. Considering very few zombies can be untrickable.
Kid named blockbuster:
@@TangleKelper can stil be a pain
I’m very excited to see the other classes
I'm surprised that Fry's favourite cards like shamrocket and starch lord are not S tier
Ok, now we need the Waifu tier list remastered
Been waiting on this for a while
45:13 Woooo!!! Got 'em! I knew u would still say starch lord sucks!
Wait so is starch lord actually good or not?
not, it was all a joke, the talk about conjuring cornucopia and etc
43:30 had me laughing
omg fry, i started playing this game again a week ago and you gift me this video, luv u
YESSS ITS BACK
Saw this on stream
The Starch-lord copy pasta is going to be a new meme for this community
Could you use puff shroom in conjunction with red stinger to create the 8 dmg lane wherever you want?

Wooohoo tier lists are back!
On the topic of starch lord, can we have a rerun of the waifu tier list?
Fry made it finally
Fry, when the PvZ heroes soundtrack tier list?
When he ranted about body-gourd he claped in both tier lists
I'm calling it.
If he does a Sneaky Class tier list, Buried Treasure might not, or infact, SHOULD be S+ tier.
Gotta throw Hibernating Beary and Pear cub in Lava Pool. Heavily slept on (pun intended.)
We back in tier lists again?? Say no more I’m excited
Tier List let's gooooooooooo!
Why not upload this on fry em up channel?
it's long
I feel like the tier list vids were kinda the peak of you channel.
Starch lord op😊
Starch lord: *gets put in garbage tier*
Fry in 2021: So this is the best Spudow deck, and it has Starch Lord
he missed the opportunity to say:
"starch lord is the most overra-
S FOR STARCH LORD S FOR STARCH LORD S FOR STARCH LORD S FOR STARCH LORD S FOR STARCH LORD S FOR STARCH LORD S FOR STARCH LORD "once upon a time, there was a starch-lord. this starch-lord was so powerful was so powerful that it could conjure an entire army of roots with just a flick of its wrist. it could summon so many roots that the entire board was filled with them, and the opponets zombies couldnt even move. the starch-lord was so strong that it could defeat the imfamous z-mech in a single"
Starch may be overrated but i wouldn't put him to the bottom of the list, I'd say he is D, since he can carry if you are lucky (especially against players with less cards when every deck is mid/late game)
It's not about drawing cards, it's the fact that it is too slow to develop. Imagine dealing with cowboy on turn 4 with starch lord
fry should make a tier list for the ohio mod as well
we need a update pop cap its been 3 years
