- As they got the message they were "rained out", 8 cattle trucks had to wait in Benjamin, TX to get a new destination to get loaded.

another thing interesting-here in california you see most of these amazing classic trucks in either the farming industry (mostly cattle or hay haulers) or some dump trucks but most of the freight companies use the ugly looking new trucks.
that's more than likely because of California's strict emissions laws. Atleast that is what my dad always used to tell me. He was a long haul driver for the better part of 35 yrs before having to hang it up because of health problems. I tell you, his being a truck driver made for an awesome childhood because I used to ride with him after school let out for summer vacation. I had been to every state in the lower 48 plus Quebec, Montreal, and Toronto, by the time I was 10 yrs old

wonder who could dislike a video with such amazing trucks...I always look out for cattle trucks here in the central valley, california but didn't see such a bunch yet. was this a cattle auction place or a meat factory or a feeding lot?

Nice, but a bit one dimensional. As a previous commenter noted, in Australia a lot of cattle in the more sparsely populated states are moved by road trains of three or four trailers, and elsewhere its usually B-doubles for stock. With the distances often involved, single trailers are too inefficient for anything but runs into the local markets.

Depends...most of them are 53 feet but they also got 51 feet...that is 16m15 and 15m54
I wouldn't mind getting out of California an driving ove4 there
you don't need to drive to texas....in the central valley in california you'll find lots of classic hay haulers (mostly amazing cabovers) and also cattle haulers. the last time I followed and filmed two cattle trucks driving from lost hills, ca to famoso, ca (from I-5 to CA 99).
