Hey guys,
Another entry as part of my 'unconventional songs' series. I love this song, and thought it might be nice to do a guitar cover! Definitely the most challenging of all the covers I've done, as the melody changes a fair bit, and there are a handfull of doubled up, panned guitar parts in there to make up for Beyoncé's wall of amazing vocals that featured so prominently in the original.
I truly hope you enjoy this as much as I enjoyed recording it, and as always, THANK YOU for watching, subscribing, commenting and rating!

This was one of the simplest setups I've used - PRS into Keeley compressor (which isn't even on for the first half of the video) straight into my Marshall! Then mic'd with an SM-57, into Pro Tools, where some slight adjustments were made to make it sit better in the mix. That's it! Hope that helps, and looking forward to some more videos from you, soon! @thedonace213 Thanks so much, Pablo! Generally, I find they seem to be different! And every singer has his / her own way of phrasing when they sing, and you have to listen for characteristic "motifs" (for lack of a better term) that define that singer or that music, and try and mimic that with the guitar.
