My son plays center and he loves these shoes. I had bought him shoes in the 200.00 dollar range but after foot doctor review I decided to give these a try and got them on sale for 80.00 bucks. I just got him another pair. He loves how they feel no issues with the traction. Highly recommend them especially at lower end price range.
Foot Doctor Zach says these might be one of the bounciest shoes this year and great for jumpers and rebounders, yet Sammy is saying the cushioning is absolutely dead in the forefoot with low impact protection…
@@zoesh2441 You will feel the bounce when you wear them, everything is great. But..You will experience some heel pain when the shoes is new. After broken in, bam! Excellent!
force = pressure * fiction coefficient. So, it has nothing to do with player's weight, lighter players require less force to move. 2 reasons 1, The shoes he used to have better tractions. When comparing them back to back, you notice the difference. 2, The area he uses has less traction. Different play style uses the shoe differently.
Yea his traction review isn't the most trustworthy.. I those and my grip is amazing on court. I haven't played in anything else since getting those pumas
My buddy bought these shoes and part of the sole came off after his first indoor practice. He thought it was probably that particular pair of shoes that was glued badly so he wrote complaint letter and replaced that pair for another pair of this shoes, after 3 indoor practices that same part of the sole came off again from his new pair of this shoes and he wrote complaint letter again and got his money back and he is obviously not buying em again. So i'd suggest you not to buy this shoes.
I have fairly wide feet and usually wear 10.5 with nike but i just picked up a pair on sale in a 10 and they fit perfectly. Bit of room to breathe but holds my ankles nicely
As someone who doesn't use this for anything but walking, cuz these things are aggregiously orange that, as someone who likes the color orange (don't mind the old college game dev logo), wearing this in front of my fiance who thinks these things look horrible give me life :D I just don't play basketball (I also wear Nike breathe cages for tennis... I'm curious how these play for tennis, ngl)
The foot doctor says the shoes has good traction and bouncy. Weartester say good impact protection bouncy and good traction. Sammy: bad traction, no springiness or very little bounce and no much impact protection. I guess the only way to find out is to buy the shoes and try it ourselves.
Could these orange ones be using a different material for its outsole? All other reviews have rated these as top tier in terms of traction, but none of them have reviewed this particular colorway. I just ordered a pair, so hoping for the best.
Also could be the court. Some finish coats on the hardwood despite clean doesn’t mean great grip. But some CW rubber does change with coloring it 🤷🏻♂️
I got what I call the PSU colorway (looks like the ketchup and mustard colors of an old PC power supply). Traction was really tacky out of the box, like it's been dipped in glue. Does attract a lot of dust that's hard to wipe off, but traction stayed good and consistent nevertheless. One thing reviewers didn't mention was just how hard the strobel is. Needs quite a bit of breaking in before you start to really feel the midsole. Feels like a comfy sweater on foot. Went TTS, and am really loving this shoe.
After using it a few times (indoor only), whatever the glue-like coating the outsole had has worn off. Dust doesn't stick as much now, but traction stays just as good if not better. Once broken in too, the cushion is fantastic. A little bit thick for those who prefer a lot of court feel, but it's great for aging players (me) who need a good amount of cushioning without sacrificing performance. Lots of bounce without any instability (surprising for such a thicccc midsole). Materials appear and feel cheap, but they're hella comfy and a lot tougher than they look.
I have watched sole bros for a long time already, main reason: fast upload. But I am starting to wonder why we don't see any gameplay clips. I am really curious if sammy really revies these shoes or he just tries them out. I wonder how he can review shoes that quickly. now I'm starting to doubt if all his reviews were legit.... not hating just really wondering how you can review shoes that quick and I also wonder how long he tests per shoe
His first impressions on these shoes were 3 weeks ago, I think that’s plenty time to review a shoe thoroughly. Won’t be a long term review on a shoe but let’s be honest at that point he’ll just be reviewing about the durability.
@@nenegortat5106 I guess you guys still don't get my point, I am looking for the in game clips because all he shows is him compressing the cushion, laterals and squeak testing the shoe. Shoot arounds and dribble drills specially in a non in game settings doesnt count.
Puma traction is such a mixed bag with other reviewers and commenters saying these have wicked bite. And we’ve seen that in the MB1’s where the translucent and solid soles are totally way off. I think we are seeing the same happen here with the TRC
Seems to be a pattern here... The traction on the orange ones is absolutely awful. Like totally unplayable. Seems like those with white soles are saying how great they are, but I've seen a bunch of people complaining about the orange. Had to replace my son's pair after 4-5 wears. I even scrubbed the soles before his practice and he was sliding around again in no time.
@@d4ball Zion 1 grip is inexistant 🤷🏻♂️ it’s like playing with ice skates on court. I own the TRC in Miami Colorway and the grip is absolutely perfect. I play PF/C but i felt no slipping at all.

Very true about the traction, collect dust so quick, otherwise it's a comfy sneakers

My Puma Clyde All Pros outsole traction ripped up at the heel and the toe box area. :\
