    Thank you Becky for this!!! 🥰 My current problem is that I don't eat snacks when I am at work. I just don't have time and it feels embarassing to eat, if there is billion things to do! 🙈 Day goes ok, but I have terrible hunger in the evening. It takes few days to get into balance again. Seems that I am not weight restored yet, because I can't eat as much during the morning and forenoon as I really want. Waiting for evening...😅

    I'm the total opposite, I can eat fear foods in the day, but after 7:30 pm, no wayyyyy! LOL I don't get euphoria like you mentioned . I feel like i'm hiding during the night time, which gives me anxiety. I too have many food rules. ugh i'm soooo happy I found your channel 💕 but when I was on vacation, I could only eat them at night, cause I would be in my bathing suit in the day, lol ED's are allot. Thank you for this content.

    Becky, How do you deal with EXTREME bloat in recovery? I went completely all in after being in quasi for a while, but it's been a week and I look 8 months pregnant. I am continuing to eat unrestricted, but I don't know if this is alright because the bloat is so extreme. How do you make it go away? Are there remedies for it? When will it go down?

      If it doesn’t actually hurt just ignore it. If it does hurt then heating pads and lying down helps. It’s something you just have to tough out and will typically get better over time. Be patient and hang in there!

    The last part of restriction as protection! I definitely saw restriction is a way to be 'prepared' for any unplanned events, positive or negative. If my kids got sick...easier to handle if I had restricted. If we went on an improvised outing...even better if I had restricted. Everything was 'easier' if I had reatricted successfully. Wonder why that is? I guess we train ourselves to see restriction as the ideal state to be in?

      Yep, it’s essentially what Anorexia is. When you have an Ed being in a restrictive state feels good and therefore becomes easy to maintain in an energy deficit. As you come out of a deficit it will no longer feel good to restrict!

      Yes, I really relate to this on a daily basis!

    Exactly what I do when I'm not restricting. I would wait until I was in bed when the kids were asleep. I eat a tub off ben and jerrys.

      Challenge eating that tub of ice cream for breakfast when all the kids are running around and screaming “mom” a million times. That’ll be some good REwiring.🤣

    This makes sense but what if the food I allow myself to eat only at night are also a bit restrictive, like protein bars and low cal hot chocolate?

      Hey there! I used to struggle with this as well and I hear you. What is necessary is to throw out allllll safe, diet foods because they no longer serve you. It’s hard in the beginning but the freedom you will feel to never have to eat a “protein” low cal food again is incredible!!! You got this! Totally recommend working with Becky and she will help you see normal foods are better!

    Did you ever have insomnia due to the Anorexia? I have had extreme chronic insomnia since 1990 and Tabitha told me she thought it was due to the Anorexia and hunting for food. You never mentioned this and neither did the 4 treatment centers I went to.

    • @beckyfreestone9908
      @beckyfreestone9908  2 роки тому

      Yes, insomnia is a common side effect of anorexia. Your body is starved and is prioritizing food over sleep.

    I still struggle with a lot of products. I make choises about how many carbs, how many fats... I don't come over that 'rule'
    Eating to much carbs, eating to much fats...
    How do I come over this ? 😔

    • @deathechovii
      @deathechovii 2 роки тому +1

      To show your mind there is nothing to fear you must eat the said carbs and fat. By doing so there likely will be ill feelings going on in your mind, this is your body trying to protect itself against what you have identified as a threat (fats and carbs). Just keep eating it and eventually your mind will not longer believe the threat and you will begin to be comfortable. However, ignoring them will only reinforce the distorted thought. Making it more difficult to challenge later. So keep at it.
      How long it will take depends on how frequently you face it. You got this.

    I just have a lot less anxiety at night plus I’m exhausted 🥱 so for me it’s a lot easier to eat a ton right before I sleep 😂I even wake up to eat. I know why I do this. It’s just tough to eat while awake. My anxiety and depression and ocd is so bad!!!
