I'm applying to KU GSIS this semester and found this video super helpful! You articulated everything so well, and I wish you all the best of luck with your PhD :">
I’m happy you found it helpful! Good luck with your application!!! ^^
Oh my God i'm planning to apply for a Master Degree in Korea and the application process already gives me nightmares, congratulations on going through all that ! i hope you're taking the best that you can from this experience. i wish you good luck and thanks for this inspiring channel ^^
Thank you so much for your wishes, and best of luck with your future application you can do it and I assure it is worth the struggle!!! 💗
Hello, thank you for the video. I was wondering if they ask for a research proposal and an approved supervisor whom you have to contact prior to the submission. And another question - do other Korean Universities have more or less similar requirements to the one that you've listed? Thanks in advance!
Hi! For Korea University specifically no, I contacted some professors before the admission and found a supervisor by myself but it is not required, especially because you don't formally submit a request for supervisor until the second semester (but I recommend to find one before admission if you can)! They didn't ask for a proposal, but professors did before deciding to be my supervisor or not. For other univeristies it is more or less the same, only some will ask for research proposal during admission (like Yonsei and SNU). Applications times are also very similar, except SNU which is way earlier compared to other unis. I hope this helped :))
@@Milky-001x thank you for your prompt answer!
Hello! Thank u for this video. I have a question, wondering if you could help. I want to apply for the GSIS international relations programs. I can’t find anywhere to apply for this program, i keep getting information about spring 2024, and that I can’t apply for the GSIS for this semester.. I cannot understand why😭
Hi! The spring semester started this week and applications closed in October, if you want to apply for the 2024 fall semester I believe information should be out by the end of March/beginning of April :) in the meantime, I'd recommend you to check out the admission guide for spring 2024 which is up on their website to see the requirements and documents that you need 💗
Can I know your research interests in Intrnl Relations for PhD? I am PhD too in Political Science but not in Korea.
Sure, my research is centered around the relationship between the EU and South Korea for climate change related goals! :)
