Whatever you film in, that’s what the your timeline should be. I shoot 30fps for simplicity. 30fps in 24fps is tolerable but still choppy cuz it’s dropping 6 frames every second. Personally, I think 30fps is happy medium - nice and smooth without too much of storage penalty.
Can you make a video on how to connect the zve1 to cam link and go over the settings? No one else on UA-cam has a video like that and it would be so helpful. Thanks
I need to know which cable to get for my ZV-E1... id like to use the USB... for my 2019 5k iMac.. whats the best usb-c to usb-A cable to get?? needs to be long enough too.. i just want to do 30p... hopefully at low res 4k.. or atleast solid 1080..
Helpful video, I'm considering this camera. How did you go with overheating during 4k stream over USB? And do you use a dummy battery for camlink use, or stick with power over USB?
I didn't find any usb-c to usb-a cable with 30-40gbps. All are around 480mbps cause I think it's a limit of usb-a. Can anyone say where i can find this magic cable which our author of this video use?
I was curious if I needed elgato cam link on my ZV-E10 and I suddenly have found the answer to which I am grateful to the author of this video and the spirit of YT algorithms
The problem with the E1 is that it runs out of battery with USB streaming. You can't change the resolution in the software like OBS, you have to change it in the camera. The camera also doesn't wake up when you use a conferencing software like Teams. You have to turn it on first. So not really a replacement for something like Razer Kiyo Pro Ultra which can stream without these issues.
Oh, i think that camera isn't designed for this use. The problem with battery with USB streaming can be eliminated with appriopriate cable - coz E1 can be charged via usb-c cable connected to usb with power delivery function.

For my usage, 1 hr was fine with usb connected.
Maybe I should just always record in 30 FPS. But will that make my files larger and increase heat output? hmm
Don't understand how you're doing 4K over USB - I was under the impression it's capped at 720p for USB streaming?
You need to have a wire that can handle 5+ gbps. USB-C to USB-A 3.0+ usually do it. The Sony native cable that comes with other cameras can do it.
@@cabellofatto ah okay - thanks!

£2k for a cam and it has no option to stream in 2k 60fps 👎
I need help. What cable exactly you use for connect zve1 dirrectly in computer? Like you have link? To buy. I need a good cable
I'm looking for the same Cable. As of right now it's only letting me shoot in 720 P.
USB 3.0@@OhioShaves
I did find one. Thanks.@@MensGroup
you can just set obs to record at 24fps so even though the camera is sending 30fps, only 24fps will be captured by obs
its only normal for its price
Even when I set the USB Power Supply to ON, my battery still depletes when I'm USB Streaming on my ZV-E1. Have you ran into that issue at all?
Me too!
With the Camlink 4K at 4k30, how long does it take to overheat?
I don’t get more than 30-35 minutes out of mine. It’s disappointing. And ambient temperature doesn’t go above 70/71 F.
you have all these affiliate links but none for the actual cable... every youtuber overlooks the cable
