You will LOVE the avocado squash! I grew it for the first time several years ago n it became an instant garden staple for my household,so good n prolific!! 💕
@@bloomandwiltgardens it has the same texture and taste as the avocado! I plan to grow 3 of them this year because I want more n more lol I even froze some of them cut up and you can use this squash in many dishes 😋
@@bloomandwiltgardens you're welcome! Oh I'm sure you'll find recipe if you Google, but yeah, totally can use this squash if you like brownie recipes using avocado,I used this squash and same results 😋
So many interesting varieties! Looking forward to seeing how these do, and hearing your recommendations after trying them. I really hope you like the KOG Limas the most!
Try to make lasagna using the eggplant and zuchinni instead of noodles, the trick is to use salt to draw out the moisture from the veggies and make them as dry as possible, if its too wet it doesnt hold very well. It is kinda like a twist on musakka, which you could also try. That one has potatoes and eggplant
My family does not care for eggplant either. The one way we will eat eggplant is to saute onions to caramelized, add chopped garlic to taste, add large diced eggplant and saute until soft, add diced tomatoes, add Italian seasoning (we like basil, oregano and thyme) and grated parmesan cheese to taste, pour sauteed veggie mix into casserole dish, top with mozzarella cheese, bake until mozzarella cheese is golden and bubbly. We like this as a side dish to chicken parm or as a topping to spaghetti squash. Thanks for sharing!
Black Beauty is beautiful, 13:39 but when we had 24 types, we both agreed we neither ever want them again .Black Bumblebee sounds good a pink Bumblebee some our friends love. You should try our second favorite " Honeycomb Hybrid " they have a great size for salad tomato and tasty. Question What date do you start pepper 🌶 seeds.? Thanks
@@bloomandwiltgardens yes I do every year I’m in the group tomato lovers collective and swap and now have over 100 varieties of tomatoes to choose from going to be difficult to narrow down I only have room for maybe 50 varieties
OMG 100 varieties! I feel like I should be in this group too haha. I've grown over 60 now and keep adding to my collection. It gets so hard to narrow them down. I am limiting myself to 20ish plants this year. @@travisevans7502
@@bloomandwiltgardens Yes do they have several ways to trade for seeds also have seed seeking Saturday where you list 5 varieties you are looking for and then members will comment if they have them and send them to you. They also do grow out where 10 to 15 people list a variety the will grow and save seeds and send in and get seeds back from each participant. Gardeners from all over the world. You will also learn all kinds of seed vendors from different countries and of course America.
Tip when you chop lettuce and put in a bowl, add a dry paper towel on top. Helps it stay dry & green longer.
Great idea!! Thanks!
Nice seed haul from Colorado
Thanks! I’m excited to get growing! Glad to have you here. 😊
